Performance:

It is a good airsoft gun right out of the box.  The Ares TAR 21 chronos at about 380 FPS and has a rate of fire of approximately 20 BBs per second. The grouping on the rifle out to 20 feet is comparable with other stock airsoft guns. By pushing out the rear stock pin and removing the butt pad it exposes the back of the gear box.  This is where the battery goes.  With plenty of space right above the gearbox it can fit most small type batteries. The spring change is simple and only takes about 5 minutes.  All you need to do is unscrew the back knob and then using a hex key take out the spring guide and the spring.

Overall performance is high 10 out 10

Conclusion:

In conclusion this gun is more or less ready out of the box for game play at places like Jericho and different outdoor fields. With the quick spring change it makes it possible to play at different fields with out having the fear of not being able to change the spring in time. A gun that is ready to go and is nothing short of expected from Ares.  I hope this review has given a better idea about the gun and how it works.  If you are interested in purchasing the Ares TAR-21, click here.

Dude. Most airsoft rifles do NOT use those standard batteries. I think just by
looking at the plugin for the batteries, its no ordinary battery...you need a
smart charger and i THINK an 8.4 volt nun chuck battery thats rechargeable.
These rifles are not actual toys. They are dangerous, wear some eye protection,
and maybe a vest. They hurt. A lot.
