"A VERY Unusual Rifle!
I've had this gun for years, so this isn't any kind of "unboxing" review.
First thing you have to know is this is a Very unusual rifle, so you have be into that otherwise get yourself a M4 or AK variant and don't even go here.
The VSS is both semi and full, and the full is not too shabby in terms of rate of fire. Why does a sniper rifle have full auto? Because it's VERY unusual.
The battery in the mock suppressor is a weird thing, and not easy to work with. Solution? There's a special VSS attachment that you can get for the VSS that provides some rail space. Next, get an external battery compartment, rewire to that batter box, and now changing batteries is quick and easy. Remember I said it's a VERY unusual rifle?
Next, it's folding stock - cool, handy, but only the S&T model comes that way, so again, VERY unusual.
There's no place for optics except for the "up and over" mount on the side - a classic Russian design.
Definitely get an Angel custom tight bore (6.1) R hop barrel and upgrade the bucking - you'll be very happy you did when you see the increased range.
There's no great place for sling mounts, so you'll have to improvise your own, I did mine with 550 cord and I'm very happy with it. Again, VERY unusual - right?
The mid-caps hold 150 rounds, big for a md cap, and yet the mags are smaller than a standard AK mag. VERY unusual.
The gun is LIGHT - 5.5 lbs., almost the weight of a big sidearm. VERY unusual.
Pro's - VERY unusual
Con's - VERY unusual
All that said, I love this rifle, especially at the end of the day where it's light weight, greater reach, higher capacity mid-caps, semifull capability, and folding stock is perfect for those last few skirmishes when you just want to try something different.
This will gun will love you if you just put a little love into it. If you're like me and you like Russian style replicas, then you won't want to leave this VERY unusual gun out of your collection.

So I got this gun today, and she looks very sick. I removed the orange flash hider because not only do i want realism in my games but I also looked online to see how to actually install my guns battery and everywhere it says to unscrew the orange tip, and yes I was aware for this specific crap brand/model Vs-Val it wasn't going to work sense that obviously was not the same tip/brand of gun. To my avail, the company who made this pile of garbage decided to take a standard plastic m4/m16 birdcage flash hider and hot glue it to the inside of the second flash hider to help support the free float inner barrel... When I saw that my heart dropped and I knew I made a mistake when buying this airsoft gun. The gun comes with 0 instructions what so ever, not a single piece of paper to tell me how to hook up my battery or anything else that might be handy & Its really funny how obvious it is that this gun originally comes with a charger and battery but Evike had to remove those from there original purchase so they can sell them separate and make more money. I am beyond disappointed with this trash, I cant even shoot her to see how good she shoots because I dont know how to get to the battery port and the only thing I can think of is unscrewing two screws on each side of the guns outer barrel to get to the battery port, but then again there is a really high chance thats not what those screws do. What kinda of company wants to make it as hard as possible to change battery's while on the field? I cant blame Evike for the crap quality of the gun but I can blame them for peddling trash.
Overall-
Pros:
-Looks cool
-Feels nice
-Not to heavy
-Probably good accuracy/range but I wouldn't know...
Cons:
-No instructions
-Inner barrel Jerry Rigging by manufacture
-Scope mount was a pain in the tuchus to add but I got it to work
-If orange tip is removed, good luck and god speed. IF you foolishly buy this gun I beg you to paint the tip instead of remove, you will save yourself hours of hassle
I personally now have a vendetta against S&T and will not purchase their brand again sense they clearly are not the Smart Team they claim to be :D Hope this helps
