"The gun needs minor work to be considered a good gun I would not recommend to beginner but it is acceptable. I made the mistake of buying this as my first gun but slowly I don't regret the decision. this is a intimidating looking gun with decent specs hasn't broken down in a years use. An updated version should be made addressing issues as to the wobbliness of the gun and better fitting parts like the the rail on bottom front. They should have thought of a way to allow you to still put attachment without taking the muzzle brake off. Speaking of the muzzle break I had to take my swordfish muzzle break off for a reason because the screw was stripped as I try to tighten it. So the only thing making my MP5 swordfish a Swordfish is the top rail. I had to get my spring change to do CQB because the gun was shooting around 400 FPS. The stock spring in my gun was not what I thought it was going to be was not shooting 350fps which sucks but I didnt want return my beauty. There's more I could say but this should be fine I guess.

"The Swordfish-K was my first airsoft gun and it has worked fantastically! Out of the box it shoots at just about 350 FPS. I would definitely recommend this gun.

Pros:
Sturdy
Fullmetal
Parts don't wobble
Small
Good for CQB and indoor arenas
Very customizable

Cons:
Heavy
Low ROF
No stock
No ironsights
Battery is hard to take out and put in

This gun is spectacular! The pros definitely outweigh the cons! I am rating this a 4/5 because of battery difficulties.

"I bought this gun a week ago, and it was on my doorstep today. The rail system and build is very solid the vertical grip that comes with it cannot be attached without unscrewing the meat grinder head. The PEQ battery box is terrible, it will not fit a 9.6 v small stick type like the description says it dose wich is very upsetting because now I have to hunt for one that dose fit and pay even more money. When fireing the gun it makes a very satisfying noise and shoots very well. I have heard that sometimes the 6 MM swordfish comes with faulty wiring and I have not experienced that yet. I bought the gun with 5 angle custom 200 rd. Mags and they fit very well. My only complaints are that the PEQ box will not fit any airsoft batterie, the vertical grip will not go on unless taking of the swordfish head, and my gun had a lot of scratches on it. Otherwise it's a solid gun worth the buy but make sure you buy a different batterie box because the one that comes with it wont fit what the discription says it will.

"Just had a great day with this gun as my only primary outdoors, it's definitely a fun gun and great for CQB. I'm pretty new to airsoft and agree with previous reviews but wanted to give my impressions.

Pros:
-Heavy and feels very solidly constructed, super compact of course.
-Comfortable to hold, run with, and shoot.
-Solid fire rate, and I liked the hop-up as-is but don't feel qualified to judge.
-Accurate at short to medium ranges.
-320 fps with .25g bbs.
-"Lipo ready"- shot great with an 11.1v lipo (barely fit), but just 1 day of testing.
-The small mag, 1 of 2 it comes with, works well; more importantly, it looks awesome (short, metal, and slightly curved) for ogling. :)

Cons:
-Small battery space. I tried 3 of the narrower 11.1v lipos (+1 NiMH stick) I found and this was the only fit: evike.com/products/53472/
-Very heavy for its size. I used a single-point sling and found it comfortable, but I'm a semi-big guy.
-The wires and fuse connecting to the battery run through a fairly cramped space where the solid front grip attaches, and after some (maybe excessively) heavy wear and tear figuring out batteries etc, one of the wire solder points came loose (my friend fixed it).
-I had some feeding issues with my new high-cap mag, but may have been the mag and/or human error.
-The fire select switch rotates far to the full auto position, and the tail pokes my hand a bit. This is a nitpick.
-Without a battery in, the bolt is prone to falling out, and with one it doesn't move and shows wires, but this is cosmetic and nitpicky.

All-in-all I love the gun, especially for the price. I'm looking forward to using it again, even for another medium-longish terrain day.

"So I received this gun a few days ago and it seems like a pretty good gun. It shoots well and sounds awesome. But my gun came with faulty wiring so I have to send it back to evike.com but they are going to replace it. But setting the faulty wiring aside it is a solid gun that packs quite a punch(and it came with a vertical grip and 2 mags which was nice). I haven't been able to test it on a field yet but the externals are all really nice and it has a good solid feel to it. The stock it polymer but it has no wobble at all.

Pros:
-Fires well
- Solid Construction
- Mags work well
-looks like a beast

Cons:
-faulty wiring
-a bit front heavy (but not an issue)
-the vertical grip is a bit of a hassle to attach ( but nothing major, it took me about 5 minutes once I figured it out)

Conclusion: Overall this gun is a steal for 200 dollars and it is a great starter gun and a great gun for veterans as well. I would definitely recommend this gun!

"After much research, I purchased this MP5 off of the reputation of CYMA platforms being sturdy, reliable, and inexpensive. While this isn't one of their more recognizable AK-47s, the gearbox is still the respected G2 series they produce at large. The Swordfish mod was also a factor that attracted me; giving the already renown MP5 an intimidating make-over. While in a more unique and compact package than most AEGs, you certainly will not notice a compromise in performance.

To begin, the weapon is in fact quite well made. I own an actual MP5, and this replica has very few variations to the real steel. The Angel Custom magazine included also gives a very intense sense of style in oppose to standard MP5 magazines, however one of those is also included. The MP5 is constructed with a full metal gearbox and upper receiver. It has rails for days on all sides for any optic or accessory, such as the included vertical grip, and the full stock can house a large type battery with ease. That said, this particular Swordfish configuration is a unique and robust version of the once compact MP5, adding quite a bit of weight, especially towards the front end of the system. The functioning mock-charging handle is a nice touch as well, and nothing beats the signature MP5-slap. Although, the charging handle was unfortunately incompatible with the top rails. Forcing me to modify the rail so the charging handle would properly seat was a bit of a let down, but was an easy fix. Another thing to note is that the Swordfish mod has a bit of gloss, so may need a bit of matte black paint to blend with the rest of the platform. Again, a little disappointing, but nothing a $4 can of spray paint can't fix.

Performance-wise, this MP5 excels in ranges from 50-100 feet. I say this because the FPS peaks just above 375 with .25's, and barrel is long enough to contend with most AR and AK platforms. However, the rather bulky design sacrifices some of the close-quarters advantages expected of a Sub-machine gun platform. With an FPS above 375 with .25's alone, it's cutting it close for those fields with more stringent limits, and has a somewhat mediocre rate of fire. Naturally, by no means will it contends with dedicated long-range AEGs or Sniper rifles at maximum range either, especially without upgrades. That being said, this platform is a bit of an enigma; an SMG, that performs more like an assault-rifle AEG. However odd that is, at the very least, I can say I have yet to experience any mechanical malfunctions, and functionality was definitely in mind when this was manufactured.

All that said, this is a great purchase for beginner to intermediate airsofters. It has the specs to get you through all types of play, without forcing you to choose between the all too common M4s and AKs. For more in-depth airsofters, this may need some work; switching-up the inner barrel and installing a MOSFET, for starters. Regardless, it has treated me well so far, and I intend to continue using my MP5. Sturdy, reliable, and inexpensive. Now "stylish" can be added to the list of things CYMA can be more known for, thanks in part to the ladies and gents at 6MMProShop.

"I love it. The gun is accurate and has a wonderful solid feel to it. I do however have a couple of original gripes just like every otherweapon. The stock is just a tad wobbly but still feels solid but worries me because all that keeps the stock from coming off is the pin to secure it. The clips wiggle about a bit also but don't go anywhere when they are loaded into the weapon. The foregrip that came with my weapon really defeats its own purpose due to the weapon having required taking off the swordfish custom to get the grip on I'd suggest top adjustable claw grips if you don't have the patience or know how to remove it (like me). The butt of the stock is rubber. Stock is polymer very very solid but wobbly receiver is metal and solid grip is polymer and solid trigger and guard metal along with the swordfish barrel. Tough guard rails and the blaze orange tip is metal.

The bonus AP10 magazine see.s like a great way to infuse a dual magazine feel like a g36c would HOWEVER when I add bb's to this magazine and I've paid close attention to how many I add it splits at its seam on the bb's I serti g side as if the bb's are fat and are busting open a belted pants loop after thanksgiving (just to be fully thorough it's new and I don'twant yyou all to be in the dark. I absolutely love this weapon though. The reason why I got this is because its unique its anmp5 but it is unique and so far mostly due to it being new. I have lots of people loving this new weapon a great buy overall and would reccomend it to anyone interested in the mp5 family looking for a step out of the box :)

"This gun is awesome internally and externally, its heavy which is realistic, sights are beautiful rof is nice everything i give a 10 out of 10 except one thing the battery is a Bit*H to put in. Enough to make you say some decent words i have a 8.4 which i think the problem is when the battery is fully charged it kinda inflates but only very little like mm's but that enough to make the battery fit just enough to make you apply decent pressure. I dont even wanna even think about fitting a 9.6 in that thing. but overall very nice job cyma.

"I got this gun in a few days ago, shoots great, sturdy, and decently accurate but that doesn't matter dice it's a cqb weapon. Only a few complaints on it was that it's body is, of course abs plastic, does feel just a little cheap but honestly for 100$ in this gun it all goes to its internals not external. So performance wise great! Looks wise it's a little above average. Stock is stable and the hop up quality varies I guess frOm each person, mine had sturdy stable hop-up. Others said they needed to tape theirs though. If your wanting to buy a gun for cheap in bulk to hand out to several friends, buy a few of these. Only 100$ and a decent stats.

Pros
Sturdy
High rof
Good hopup (from person to person)
Good internals and good mags

Cons
Only recommendation I'd make is getting a smart charger, the one it comes with doesn't auto shut off so if u forget a out it ull have a fiery hot battery that's had its life shortened

"I got this gun around 4 months ago and it has served me well. I've been to several CQB operations with it and it has worked beautifully. Although, when I tried to use it in field (even with a longer tight bore barrel and a suppressor) it lacked. During one of my matches, the screw in the mag release fell out, rendering the gun unusable. I replaced it with a small screw I had lying around my workbench.

Upon opening the gun up, I was glad to see that it had a full metal ver. 3 gearbox (version 3's are extremely durable). I replaced the piston because it had pretty poor compression (which comes with any low priced asain chinese made gun), I replaced a few gears, and gave it a better motor. Now, with a 7.4
li-po (don't ask), it shoots 25 rps.

Pros
- Very light
- Very Good Secondary for snipers / CQB Primary
- Stock Battery shoots pretty fast
- Cheap
- Pretty good stock internals -- not amazing
- Upgradable
- Customizable

Cons
- Not very durable
- Bad battery space
- Piston has bad compression
- Mag release screw is loose
- Bad range
- Hop-up changes itself
- TERRIBLE gun for field/woodland players

I would recommend getting a 1- point sling, upgrading the gearbox, and a tightbore barrel

"This gun fulfilled the majority of my expectations and then some. The other reviews have already described it adequately, except for the fact that the rear sling mount is utter poo. It is not a continuos loop - that is to say, the part where you actually attach the sling works with a pincher grasp, securing itself to the pivot point. Consequently, it's prone to failure, as mine did 30 minutes into its first game.

SO... if you are using this as a secondary, make sure you aren't playing on cement. Otherwise, you will REALLY get to test this gun's durability.

"This is a pretty nice gun. Just look at the pros and cons

Pros:
-Heavy
-Metal Receiver
-Feels durable
-Very nice range
-Very accurate (I recommend using .3s or higher, because the BBs fly up at like 90 feet with .25s) because there is no adjustable hop up
-Nice feel
-Accurate look
-COMPATIBLE WITH THE G&G MP5 CLAW MOUNT RED DOT SIGHT

Cons:
-BBs curve up at 90 feet using .25gs
-Can't using cocking bolt when battery is in'
-Tiresome to put battery in
-No adjustable hop up
-LOUD!!!!

"Just got the gun today. Out of the box it looks amazing and the weight is great. (Heavier then my friends full size M4). I read the instructions and they were very vague about the battery, but i figured it out... The battery fits fine. I went to put the mag in and it would not stay in the mag well. I am assuming, because no one else who wrote a review had this problem, that it was specific to mine but i did hold the mag in the gun and shoot a bit. FPS is good, hits hard, but ROF was low. It may have just been my battery but I'm not sure.

Pros:
Great looks and weight.
Fairly accurate.

Cons:
Its a Bitch and a half to put the battery in and then put the gun back together.
The mag well was screwed up but, like i said, that could be particular to my AEG.
Unclear Instructions

I'm sure there are more pros and cons to this gun but because my mag well was screwed up i didn't have a chance to use it very much. Overall a good gun, definately worth the money, and if you buy it and its screwed up like mine then get a RMA (just click on 'Warranty Service' at the top and fill out the thing at the bottom) and send it back to Evike.

"I got this gun before christmas and was very disappointed when I would shoot the gun bbs would either barely come out o the gun or get jammed after opening th gun and inspecting the problem I found out the hop up bucking was put in incorrectly. After fixing this the gun shot flawlessly with the low cap but the highcap had trouble feeding until I added silicone oil then it feed flawlessly.

Pros:
Nice rof with stock 8.4v
Nice abs plastic finish
Comes with 2 mags
Pretty heavy but not too heavy
Loud with kickback (could be a con)
Metal mags
Cons:
Highcap didn't feed well until I lubed it (could be a lemon)
Hop up bucking not inserted correctly (probably a lemon)
Plastic rearsight
