"This is a nice solid starter gun. I was looking for a budget friendly AEG that took AK mags because my previous gun broke. Then I found this wonderful piece of electric glory. Once I got it I used it at my local field and played a few rounds. It preformed beautifully.

"Recommended for realism (VERY close copy of the real steel) accuracy, weight and training purposes. Oh yeah, the fun-meter is pegged, too.

"I bought this gun to build and cyma blew my mind again with how great the internals are. Trigger response is insanely quick on an 11.1 battery (stock) and mine must have come shimmed by Christ because the gearbox as quiet as it is fast. The accuracy is lackluster but its a cyma ak, you buy these things to never break.
I built mine with a prommy purple bucking and gate x-asr mosfet with plans to shortstroke the sector gear or move to a smaller ratio gear set.
But with the good comes the bad. The outer barrel and rail wobbled out of the box. I'm not too bothered because its minimal and I play cqb so accuracy isn't as big of a concern, but its something I'll notice time to time.
ALSO DISCLAIMER:
The retro arms hopup cube is incompatible with this gun because of how the outerbarrel and hopup screw into one another

"Bought this gun for CQB and it didn't disappoint.
Pros:
- Pretty accurate despite the barrel length
- Full metal (excluding grip and magazine)
- Good weight
- Folding stock
- Great size for CQB
- Looks amazing
Pro/Con:
- Fire selector and some other markings are in Russian, I personally like it but can see how it could be an annoyance to some
Cons:
- Front heavy (the gun is so short that it's barely noticeable)
- Muzzle brake is a pain to get off
- The stock and mags wobble a bit
- If you use a side rail mount for optics you cant fold the stock
- Paint chips easily

"This was my first aeg and honestly, I'm really happy with it, it has good range and accuracy with a very sustainable rate of fire. The only problem I have found is for some reason it stops feeding every once in a while but all I have to do is put some lubricant in the feeding chamber. Assuming the gun you receive won't have that problem really recommend it! Great gun!

"FIRES HOT!
it advertises at 400 FPS, but it's more honestly somewhere between 430 - 460!
PROS:
* Good materials. Solid metal & sturdily built. Can scratch a bit, but it doesn't hamper the weapon overly much (and IMO, adds a bit more of a 'personal' feel to it as it gets more roughed up).
* Shoot well for short to mid-range combat. Not a long-range weapon, but that's not why you're getting this anyways!
* RAS-handguard gives you all the space you need for a fore-grip, light/laser, and small optic.
CONS:
* FPS is hot as only a CYMA can be. Its unfortunate because the rifle itself is fantastic! but if you go anywhere that adheres to strict FPS rules, this is going to cause you no end of grief until you can compress the spring / wear it down.
* Has some real heft to it since it IS made almost exclusively from metal aside from the grip/magazine. Not a problem for some light day-airsofting. If you'll be looking to use it for longer at a MILSIM or a long-day event, just grab a sling so you can shoulder it and now have to be holding it all day (comes with 2 sling-point attachments for just that purpose).
* My fire-selector was getting pretty loose after just a day of using it, but its not hard to fix so long as you have a screwdriver handy.
* The Dovetail mount is a bit tricky simply because the rear-sight on the weapon unfortunately tends to 'bump' into many dovetail-mounts you put on. I'd suggest being careful with any purchases, and be ready to 'shave' down a dovetail a bit if you get one so it'll fit as intended. but, as previously stated: the RAS-Handguard is sturdy and solid. I'd more commonly suggest just mounting your optic there and just not bothering with a Dovetail mount.
TL:DR
If you're looking for a dope AK-74u, this is a fantastic choice at the price its offered at. Just be warned it shoots hot.

"pretty good is nice and sturdy but the only issue is the amount of glue on the flash hider. i tried brute force, and boiled it but the glue is still holding strong. well built though.

"Not as good as I had hoped, but not a bad gun. Here's my breakdown:
Pros:
* looks good
*sturdy, full metal construction
* hi-cap mag works well
Cons:
* gun is HEAVY! Definitely get a sling or grip to help support it.
* difficult to fit batteries inside. You need to get a short battery otherwise the top will not close
* fire selector switch was loose on first use, needed to use screwdriver to fix it
* paint chips very easily, after using for one day of airsoft it looks old
* Semi-auto trigger pull is very heavy and slow. Not a good semi-auto gun
* Full-auto rounds-per-second seems rather slow as well, although I don't have the actual RPS number it was much slower than any of the other AEGs in my squad
Pro/Con:
* The FPS is pretty high for this gun and it hits hard, I had a number of people complain that the gun hurt more than it should. Take this as you will.
Overall: The gun is not terrible, but for another $100 you could probably get something that really shines. I was a little disappointed, after seeing all the other good reviews, but it seems like some of them are actually for other products, which is weird. Also, you will get tired carrying this bad boy around all day because it is heavy. Be aware.
