"WOW! Does this gun have heft or what!
That was the first thought that came to mind when I first got my P226. I'm use to 1911A1, P-08 and M9's but this Baby Hughie is up there with the M712/C96 and Desert Eagle in weight.
Next I checked for obvious plastic, none except for the grips and magazine. Yes, the magazine and be glad it is because it doesn't need any more weight.
Pros:
Magazine is a unique build and plastic for the pellets. No problem for me because I can buy six for the price of one CO2 mag. And fit them all in one pocket.
Unique CO2 cartridge cam loading mechanism is the cats meow, ambrosia and a martini shaken, not stirred, all rolled into one.
Rifled barrel make this gun EXTREMELY accurate and hard hitting. No need for a hoppity up.
12mm CW threaded barrel with protector.
It's ALL metal except for the grips and (give it a break) the magazine (which is Ok).
Cons:
Closed ejection port makes accessing the innards nearly impossible.
Magazine release is to darn easily to push. I'm dropping magazines on my foot regularly. (another reasons being plastic is good)
And last, it's dog butt ugly. But it grows on you.

"Of the air guns I own, the Sig Sauer P226 is my personal favorite. It's well built, full metal construction and offer everything you want in an air gun.
Pros: Too many to mention
Cons: The magazine is all plastic! I haven't had any issues with it it feels cheap compared to the all metal design of this otherwise great air pistol (I hardly shoot my air guns). But I know that if I did... This plastic magazine would not hold up for too long.
