"I picked two Scorpion Evos up for my son and I for the 2023 airsoft season. Two seasons later they perform exactly as they did the when I bought them, out of the box. No maintenance. No upgrades. Games every other weekend for 2 years. They’re as tough as they look. I’ve never even cleaned the exteriors. Moreover, we can compete with nearly everyone on the field, even guys with custom rigs. When mine dies, I’ll get another one. I understand they have some new, more advanced variants. With my old one I’m able to thread the needle between pieces of wood fence and tires all day, from a distance. It’s kind of a pain in the butt to change the battery, but with the factory recommended battery and .25 bb’s, it shoots hard, fast, and accurate. I’m not sure it needs to be improved.

"Ok so I bought this approx a year ago and it is by far the best Airsoft gun I have used. The range on this blew my mind!!!!! I have not done anything to it it is stock out of box the only minor complaint i have is I cannot find the battery made for this in stock anywhere but if you want a great out of the box gun this is it.

"An amazing gun, had it for about a year now and still works great, it’s just that the thing that stops the gun from shooting when the mag is empty stopped working for me. The folding stock helps me fit the gun perfectly in my case and I love how it’s also removable, the quick change spring is my favorite since I could bring it indoors or out without worrying about if the fps is too high. Overall I give the gun a 9.8/10.

"Best... gun... I’ve ever owned!
Shoots 375~402 FPS on my end.
Very light.
Looks sick on the battlefield.
I love seeing the same gun fighting along side me on the battlefield.
Easy upgrades and modding possible.
DON’T LOSE THAT SCREW IN THE TRIGGER GUARD!!! It will cut your FPS in half.
11/10

"From what others have said, you probably already know how amazing the ASG Scorpion Evo is, but I just wanted to say something about the longevity/ reliability of it:
I've had my Evo 3a1 for 3 years (2018 version) with all stock internals, and I finally opened it up again today for the first time in a couple years, and I have to say, I'm extremely surprised;
There's absolutely no internal wear.
This was especially surprising to me regarding the piston, because the teeth that aren't metal don't have any wear whatsoever. Same goes for the bushings, which I thought would surely oval out. The gears - which I've heard people complain about - are the same as the first day I opened the gearbox years ago.
However, compression is pretty much non-existent, although that could be due to me just not pushing the piston "right" or a lack of lubrication/ new silicon oil.
Honestly, I never had many doubts about the Evo, and now that I've seen how sturdy it is over a long period of time, the few doubts I did have are gone.
Also, for anyone wondering, the nozzle is 18.4mm long, but has no o-ring (might have an o-ring in newer versions.)

"I was hesitant to get this gun for the first couple of years due to all the reviews online of the lack of battery space and the initial $450+ pricetag. However my curiosity got the better of me and I bought it last year and I am so glad I did as it is now my favorite AEG to play with at weekend skirmishes at my local field.
The externals are supposedly on par with the real steel CZ Scorpion EVO (Who doesn't love that) and the polymer that is used is SOLID. It definitely feels like high quality in your hands. The foldable/adjustable stock is very sturdy with next to no play when it is deployed. I ditch the orange tips on all of my airsoft replicas as soon as I get them ( I know it voids the warranty 😬) and the replacement metal flash hider is very nice. The selector switch is crisp and the grip is very comfortable and probably my favorite feature of the gun's externals. It just feels good in your grasp and is easy to manipulate unlike many A2 style and AK grips.
The intetnals in this gun are flat out Amazing. The trigger response is so snappy that not even half way through my first mag through it I was in love. You can really tell when shooting it ASG really put a lot of R&D into this replica. Like I said I have owned this gun for a little over a year now and have since upgraded the inner barrel, Installed SHS 16:1 gears and a Lonex M170 piston, but stock this gun was hitting targets well beyond 180-200ft with .30s. With the few internal upgrades it cycles just a bit faster and outperforms both my Krytac Mk2 Crb and my VFC Avalon as far as accuracy at effective range. The gun also has a true quick change spring that makes changing the gun's fps very easy.
The only cons with the ASG CZ Scorpion EVO is the battery space is pretty small and not easy to access. You definitely want to buy a couple slim 11.1 lipos to fit into the tiny battery space in the foregrip. And the mid caps are really low caps. I wish they came in at the very least 100 round mid caps preferably 120 rounders. I ended up buying 3 3-packs of the 75 round EVO mags because the high caps are just plain fugly in my opinion. Other than that I can't really think of anything else negative to say about the gun. It is a lot of fun showing up to the field and having a cool non-M4 or AK platform that turns heads yet doesn't sacrifice any performance or too much customization ( There are a nice amount of accessories and parts for them) upgradability. Overall I give the gun a 10/10 .5 for the price point. I love the thing at $450 but at $370 it is a complete steal!

"So im going to do 3 different reviews on this gun (because i really think it deserves that) in full detail. First review is the tip of this iceberg but i will continue to update because ive only fielded this once so far...
So first, lemme say that this gun is INFAMOUS. People all over the field were dying just to touch it lol. Im in love with the fact that this looks so similar to the real cz and it just has such a clean crisp style to it.
Now i play three classes:
ASSAULT/INFANTRY, RECON, & SNIPER (all with different weapons)
And strangely enough... this smg worked for all 3!!
Why?
1. it has a HIGH ROF (w/ 11.1 lipo)
2. It has unmatched range
3. its pretty deadly accurate
4. it has a fold-able/extendable stock
5 its very light ( a bit of a con for some ppl but i like the mobility)
To test this out i tried playing all three of these classes over 3 separate 15 minute games. 1st game i played assault, 7 kills, 2nd game i played recon, 15 kills, 3rd game i played sniper, 9 kills. now that may not seem like a lot but because of COVID-19 there were only about 20-30 players on the field that day so i very much enjoyed the kills i got there. back to the gun tho. i would like to say a few cons.
Cons:
1. Magazine (mid cap) is only 75 rounds, and with a high ROF like this gun you WILL burn through that fast, so you need at least six more (about 100$) so they are rather expensive (or just buy the high cap)
2. The battery space.......nuff sed
3. Pricey BUT WORTH EVERY SINGLE PENNY!!!! (get it u n00b)
Ive seriously never had so much fun with an airsoft gun, this is my sixth year playing this sport and ive NEVER come across innovation like this!
THANKS SO MUCH ASG & EVIKE
More soon. stay tuned.
tl;dr: if your thinking about getting this but the price is scary, go for it, this is built to last, best airsoft gun ive ever played with, and ive played with a lot!

"I've fielded this beauty 3 times now, AND I LOVE IT!
Light weight, small physical package, lots of tacticool, I love the empty mag cut off feature, mid caps fit and feed flawlessly, the included sights are fiber optic, externals are GREAT, rate of fire is top notch (around 18rps out of the box and great trigger response), lots of rail space, and THIS THING HAS RANGE - I'm using .32's in this little beast.
DISCLAIMER: my EVO came shooting over 400fps out of the box; if you plan on taking this thing indoors, I'd pick up one of ASG's springs (by the way: the spring change on the EVO takes 60 seconds - if that.
I wish there was more battery space, I wish the barrel adapter was included out of the box, and the trigger needs a little love. Out of the box - this is the best AEG I've ever purchased.
I recommend you buy a lipo that's VERY thin and consider purchasing the EVO short stroke trigger.

"Note-this gun was given to me by a friend. This gun is amazing. Compact, maneuverable and insanely accurate. Throw a MOSFET and 3r burst into the mix, and you’ve got one hell of an AEG. Battery fitment is a little tight but easy to fit with ASG’s 900 mAh Lipo battery. Enough rail space for whatever you’d want. The finish, however, is cheap looking and scratches somewhat easily. The mags have the same disappointing finish, but they fit the advertised amount of rounds and feed well. I like the empty mag cutoff and the charging handle is a nice touch. You can’t HK slap it though, only the bolt release will let the handle go after it is pulled. All in all, the gun performed well, despite its few cons.

"This gun goes great with my krytac mkll crb. Shoots 400fps with .20 grams right out the box. Running a lipo 11.1 that is. Biggest drawbacks are magazine and battery compartment. But asg makes a perfect stick size battery with 1600mah. I made the mistake of buying 2 different style lipos. Still fits but its finicky. As for the magazine size l bypassed that issue with a drum mag by Tapp. Still purchased the 3 pack just incase l ever feel like running midcaps. Have the barrel adapter to throw on silencer or different flash hiders as well as the blacked out metal version of its oem flash hider. Weight of the gun is extremely light. Id have no problem running it all day. Would definitely recommend picking it up if you're even considering it

"Perfect in every way except one. The battery storage limits the battery type. Best bang for the buck.

"I like this gun, a lot. So much so that i bought two of them, one the carbine and this one. I call it the "shorty" at least in my gun log to differentiate it from the carbine and shorty has about 11,000 bb's through it by now. If I'd bought this gun first I doubt I'd have gotten most of the others (MP40, Sterling SMG, Italian MP38) since this gun beats them all - in features, reliability, design, workmanship, just about everything except maybe price.
This is not a cheap gun, of course, but for all that you get a whole lot of gun for the money. The shorty is as accurate as my M16-M203 if not more so, and the rate of fire is crazy high - with the 11.1 lipo it's a bullet hose. My favorite thing to do with this gun is just let loose with tracers at night, lots of fun!
If there were any drawbacks to this gun, it has to be battery access. Shoe-horning the battery in the forearm is just not practical to me: not only does it require too much disassembling just to charge or check, it limits the size of the battery you can use. After a while I just bought the mock AN/PEQ2 box, mount it to the side of the forearm and I can use the large Tenergy 11.1 v lipo (I have not had much luck with the butterfly type so I just don't buy those anymore).
As soon as I bought the gun I bought several of the 375 round magazines and these are much better then the 75 round that comes with it. I also bought a Tapp drum, the battery operated one. At $120 yes it is pricey, but it sure saves a lot of reloading time. The only drawback to this drum is it fires so fast you could probably melt your motor if you weren't paying attention. I did have one problem with the Tapp drum after I tried to load BB's into the wrong hole (the correct port is the oval hole on front of the drum, which when not in use is covered by a small piece of velcro fabric). I was looking for an easier way to load the drum so dropped some bb's down the smaller hole in the mag well portion. The drum then jammed up and wouldn't feed bb's. But I just took it apart (carefully) by removing the 4 hex screws, and gently levering off the back. The plastic gears are covered by another plastic piece, held on by 3 small phillips screws - after removing those then gently lifting the plastic piece out of the way, I just shook out the bb's jamming the gears and reassembled and iot was good as new. (So if you buy the Tapp drum only load it through the oval hole and no other, I guess).
This is a rather pricey, but first-class airsoft gun in every way. Design, materials, workmanship and reliability are worthy of guns twice the price; it has a one year warranty; tracer units, suppressors and muzzle brakes fit with ease (14 mm CCW) has a high rate of fire, and it is surprisingly accurate. I say pick one up before they decide to raise the price of it again.

"I don't own this gun, but I have held and shot with it. I love it. Yeti tactical had pouches just for this gun. The selector is crisp, it's light weight and it shoots with good range. I was hitting 50 to 100 rather well. I think. 25 was being used. This gun is the reason I'm giving up my m4 loadout completely. Yes the battery area is crap, but whine if you wish while you could simply just get a peck box and problem solved. It shoots silently and like mentioned in other comments will not shoot or run the battery if a mag is empty.
I highly recommend it.
I highly recommend it.

"Another follow up review after a few months of this gun-- still holding up fielded over 50 times and have not had a single problem, to be expected for those of you just ask My yourself it's kinda expensive, just buy it don't waist your time you won't regret this buy it shoots fantastic, and has never let me down this thin doesn't even need a review it's just 5 star simply put will warn you though it over hops .25 with no hop up on so there is that
