CYMA Railed Dust Cover for AK Series Airsoft AEGs

"Awesome, a must have for CM040 AK series. Fits perfectly on a cm040b (Ak105). Not only is the rail a great addition, this turns your dust cover into a hinge joint instead of a floating joint. Meaning changing batteries or fixing issues is super easy. Again, if you're going to get a cm040 ak and you want sights, this is easily your best option.

Installing is quick and easy; I only needed to remove the original rear sight (that's where you hook this thing up) and that's it.

I have a red dot mounted to it, so I can't see the built in rear sight, but if the sight runs out of battery, and you take it off, you still have a fairly good set of irons! It reminds me of a glock rear sight, nothing fancy but it works. The fact that it mounts into the rear sight block to add stability is pretty smart, and it just feels solid. I would 100% suggest this for any ak build, adding a red dot mounting solution without adding a lot of weight or size is good by my book.

"Good for what it is, if you have the right AK for it. I have the CYMA AK-74 and like some of the other reviews have said it doesn’t fit perfectly and required a little DIY. The top rail on my AK had been bent from a collision or something, so I had to find a replacement and this worked very well.

I just took a grinder to the front and sawed off a couple pieces off the front so it would slide into the slot where the iron sights go. (The rail has then built in as well in case you don’t feel like mounting anything)

If you have the 74 and you or your friend has a tool that can get the job done it’s literally a 20 second fix.

"No side rail? No problem! My son’s AK had no side rail to mount a scope, so this was the solution. It is a lot sturdier than I thought it would be-not quite sturdy enough for a real steel firearm to hold zero, but it works fine for airsoft. Much cheaper than replacing the receiver to get one with a rail, and then adding a scope mount, too!

"Received this part for my AK105. Specifically the CYMA CM040B.

This part first perfectly without modification.

All you have to do is remove the rear iron sight by pushing it down and sliding it out. There will be two pieces of the sight, the sight itself and the spring like piece the sight sits on. Toss em or store em its up to you.

Next you just slide this part in place and use the included screw to tighten it down. DONT tighten it too tight! The screw seems flimsy and I feel as though if you tighten it too much youll strip the screw.
