"I purchased the black, long version with no attachments. As my first main airsoft gun, this is good and would recommend as a backup or to new players. I've used this thing outside for a total of about 23-30 hours of playtime.

Pros
-Pretty good for price, especially if you get it discounted
- Mostly metal and is mostly very high quality
-for a PDW it has good range for outdoors and should fly at CQB fields although I don't play at them so take this with a grain of salt
-Is an M4 so it has lots of after-market support, and has the widely used barrel thread, 14mm negative. is also a PDW M4, so it's just a bit more unique than a normal one
-Accurate
-Decently loud, even though it sounds kind of electronic-y it's still cool. Could be a pro or a con depending on the person using it.

Cons
-My dust cover for the hopup got stuck and when I finally got it open, the plastic piece attached to the spring broke off and I needed to tape it shut now. Hopefully just a problem for me but I don't care much at all.
-Ugly, big orange tip and I think it has a metal rod of sorts through it and not just glue, so it may be a pain to remove but definitely not impossible.
-Cheesy magazine, cheap plastic and falls out sometimes if you don't push it in just hard enough and correctly, although it feeds perfectly (i think). I prefer my KWA mags though.

Overall the only cons have fixes, are avoidable, or don't really matter so this is a great great gun! Would recommend. 8.7/10

"To remove included suppressor/compensator (yes this is ccw threaded - like most standard guns): there is a pin under the suppressor, it is about a quarter of an inch long (so it holds the suppressor in a hole in the threads) and no allen wrench (I have them all - 0.7mm on up) would work. I had to use a drill bit on the pin until part of it was sticking out and then use a pair of needle nose pliers to pull it out (this was actually pretty easy). Hoping this helps someone in the future with removing the suppressor from a Kings Arms M4. Then any standard suppressor can be screw on (counter-clock wise).

Purchased this stubby/shorty Kings Arms M4 (red version) to use my old mags in a shorter form-factor gun. Day one and I am happy with it. It does not fit butterfly batteries that my other M4 used, I'd recommend the small recommended stick battery from evike.

"I bought the black M-LOK version as my first AEG. I've played a lot borrowing guns, so I had an idea of what I was looking for. Anyway, I've fielded it plenty of times now, and I can say that it is a quality rifle. I got the hopup adjusted perfectly, and this thing is decently accurate. I made shots at much farther than I thought with iron sights. I got it on major discount, but it is worth the full price. No issues.

Pros:
- Accurate
- Versatile
- Durable
- Comfortable to hold

Cons:
- Aesthetically, the orange tip looks really dumb
- The magazine it came with should be thrown away as soon as you get this gun

The cons are super minor, highly recommend.

"Tough, reliable and accurate. Bought this to use as an emergency backup and it is preformed so well that it became my main. It works great for ranges of 15-350ft straight from the box, was going toe to toe with an Umbrella Armory on the outdoor field I play on. Put on a small grenade launcher and you will be feared.

"Just to start right off the bat, if you’re a beginner looking to get your first gun, I highly recommend this guy.

I’ve had this gun for a little under a year (The Desert Tan, MLOK SBR version) and it has been extremely solid for me. I had been wanting a Honey Badger looking gun resembling the COD Ghosts model for a while and settled on this guy. Out of the box its not that bad, pretty solid for CQB. I had no issues with the gun other than feeding issues mainly with the mags being the main problem. I am currently using HexMags with this gun and it works solid.

To take off the orange “suppressor”, it sadly wasnt budging for me so I took off the entire outer barrel assembly and placed in a whole new assembly along with extensions and actually worked out perfectly to place on a mock suppressor or a tracer unit.

My only complain is the buffer tube in the stock, it feels sketchy placing in even my small 7.4v LiPo but it still fits, just a bit snug. But I replaced the stock with an Amoeba AM-013 stock which is smaller so I cant complain lol.

Pros:
Great out-of-the-box
Adequate for beginning players
Stock is comfy
Trigger response is great
Build feels sturdy
Not bad at all for the price

Cons:
The mag it comes with is pretty trash, I highly recommend using HexMags or mid- or high-quality mags (BAMF, KWA..)
“Suppressor” is an amplifier, so its pretty annoying to hear but thats just a personal con
Mine did not come with a manual but has generic m4 parts so it shouldn’t be too hard to follow YT tutorials on how to open up the gun

I still have yet to find more cons, most of the troubles I’ve had with this gun came mostly from me upgrading portions of it but it was mainly due to my error.

All in all, great gun, great for the price, and pretty solid for new players looking for a PDW build.

"I got the grey and blue when it was on sale for $149. I was kind of skeptical when I bought it, but this thing is awesome! It has a mosfet so you can run an 11.1 without worrying about damaging the internals, and plus, the gun looks awesome! One thing is that you can’t take off the suppressor, but that’s not a big deal! My friend has the full metal G&G arp 556 and I would say that this thing shoots about the same. It’s not full metal however, (I think it’s either polymer or plastic) but has a really good feel. If you want full metal then this is not what you want, but if you want a good cqb gun for a good price then this is the way to go! To be honest, I’m surprised that the normal price is only $188! You could buy a G&G that shoots the same as this for $250. If you want a good deal then go ahead and buy this. You won’t be disappointed!

"ok so, I'm new to airsoft and I'll say the specs of the gun and how good it is.
the gun weighs around 4-5 pounds pretty light but enough weight to be realistic.
out of the box it shot 375 to 380 fps with a 0.20g bb
the rof is good with a 8.6 nimh and great with a 9.4. this thing will probably shred with a 11.1
starting from the rear, the stock is textured and shoulders very nicely. the bars that keep up the stock are metal and have no wobble. the gun is wired from the rear and the buffer tube is a very durable polymer. does not flex or bend one bit.
the battery compartment is very small so plan on getting a small type battery. it also has a quick change spring system accessed in the buffer tube.
the select fire switch if very snappy and clicks into place nicely. it is non ambidextrous. the pistol grip houses the motor like in most M4 platforms and is textured nicely and feels good. the trigger is a 90 degrees trigger and has a nice trigger pull. easy to fire fast on semi. the charging handle is metal and exposes the hop up. it is a wheel type I think it's called? it looks like a * so whatever that is thats what it is. the hop up does not lock in place and the bolt release is for looks. the body is polymer and when I squeeze the magwell it does bent a tiny bit and it takes me a lot of force. people take polymer for being cheap plastic, but a lot of things have polymer and is very strong. the mag release is non ambidextrous and is enlarged and textured. also taking out a mag drops it on release, I like this as it makes reloads faster for me. speaking of which, the mag it comes with feels nice but has a hard time getting into the gun and requires a lot of force. I bought 2 B.A.M.F mags for this gun and get rid of this issue. the flip up sights for this gun are polymer and the rear one is adjustable for windage white the front on is non adjustable. they both have a very nice snap when folded up or down. the handgaurd is metal (depending on which model you get) and comes with the 3 m-lock picatinny rails installed like in the picture. the flash hider or muzzle device is an amplifier makes a nice loud crisp pop sound when fired. the outer barrel is metal and threaded with 14 mm negative threads.
the only issues i've had with this gun is that the upper body is bulging out a bit and out of sync with the lower receiver. just barely though I'm sure its nothing bad. the pistol grips texture rubs off on my middle finger a bit giving it a rash or a blister. this might just be for me as I have smaller hands and my hand has to be all up in that grip to reach the trigger. gloves solve this problem.

for a sub $200 gun this is great. I got it on sale for $159. if you're still not sure about buying this, then check out the knights armament SR-16E. a little bit more expensive but might be worth it. (also buy a speed loader as it came with a mid-cap and did not include one in the box)

"I'm new to airsoft and just had my first game/op ever and this held up pretty well. no issues what so ever. The one thing I did run into, though, was I blazed through TWO 7.4 lipos before I could even last 5 mins on the second half of the Op. I went through about at MOST 800 rounds and at LEAST 720 before I had to leave early. The mah on both of them was 1000 and 1200 both at 20C. It might be the batteries but man this thing ripped through power like nothing.

Pros:
Powerful
Not too heavy
Small
Has range
Decent Rate of Fire

Cons:
The buffer tube barely has room to fit a good battery
Rips through power

"Great gun! Just needs a little more QC internally.

"Very impressed out of the box but packaging is bare minimum for 150 bucks can’t expect much didnt come with a battery the mag is comes with is trash but I whent with bamf 190rd no jams or feeding problems but broke the dust cover in 5 seconds of having it my gen 2 lancer tactical m4 they are build almost the exact same only difference is the dust cover I whent with the grey blue stubby for a backup with a sniper not too shabby great starter gun for the price super impressive

"I got the DE shorty as gift for my brother and it works fine, it’s a great beginner gun and is definitely reliable.

This is a very durable and lightweight gun that is great for a full day of fun. There aren’t any rattling pieces and it’s very solid construction. There is a piece that broke off the dust cover so it will no longer stay closed and the mag release button came loose but we tightened that up so it’s fine now. And the buffer tube for the battery work but it’s very cramped, a little longer tube would have been nice but it works.

Looking at the performance, this gun shoots just fine with no feeding problems and it’s as accurate as you’d expect something this price to be. Overall pretty regular shooting and nothing bad has happened.

For this price, this is a ok gun. Definitely a good way to start playing and you’ll definitely have fun with it.

"Overall solid weapon, Fully customizable and lightweight.
Only issues is finding the correct battery to fit in buffer tube. Had issues with 11.1 V Lipo.

"Not the best gun, but not the worst.
Got this as my first gun and it was pretty solid.
But after dropping it, it went downhill.
The gearbox and motor were practically done for.
Should be taken into account its majority polymer/abs cant remember which one.
The internals seem good.
Would recommend, for a beginners aeg.

"Its decent.

cost was about right.

Thing is pretty sturdy. Bought it for a set of game days at the antioch site in CA. Smacked it on the ground a couple good times, just to teach it respect.

Had a minor jam, about half way through the second game, but the keyboard guy had to leave and the sax guy was his ride. It sucked the vibe right out of the room. Jam was over just that fast.

Fires at 370 with .2s out of the box.

Speaking of the box. It had something to be desired. the gun did not look like it was designed for the box and the magazine it came with looks like it was stolen....from a child....who was also kinda slow....and poor....

battery compartment in the back is about as small as they get so plan on a mini.

One thing, the silencer makes the gun.....sound funny. Like banging on a broken bongo.

its weird, but unique.

Overall, a good purchase.

"This gun did not look so well built when i first grabed it out of the box.and the mag has to be fake cause it felt like somthing from a dollar store, let alone didnt even fit into the gun well.but after some more looking into it the gun performed amazingly out of the box even more so with the lipo battery.so for people looking for a gun id say look here if your new or looking for a basic cqb gun.otherwise id say not so much if your looking for somthing long term and somthing that will get you through a milsim game.

Ps also battery compartment needs to be bigger cause i had a very small 7.5 volt battery and it still barely fit so i have to smash or tape in the wires.
