"This is an excellent rifle for the price. The stock is removable, allowing for a more MP5K look, and the front flash hider is removable, allowing you to put on silencers, etc. The stock battery is the only major flaw of this gun. I would recommend replacing it with a Elite battery or another high quality battery. The gearbox seems quite solid, with pretty decent internals. I have had some hop up problems with mine though. The hop up seems to over hop, even at its lowest setting. I think this problem will be alleviated with a new bucking or a new hop up chamber. It still shoots fine without changing the hop up, it just probably doesn't have the range it could. The plastic body is fairly durable, however the paint on the high capacity magazine has a tendency to wear off. All in all, this gun's compact size and excellent potential outweighs its lousy stock battery and hop up issues.

"Magazines would not lock in out of the box. Had to file down the hop up slightly to allow the magazines to seat a little deeper. And the battery compartment is way too small. Other than that, the gun seems well constructed.

"I paid for a good gun and that's what you get just good. The packing was plain CM041 box. Nothing exciting, the instructions are less informative. Battery instructions missing in the manual and the magazine metal constructed but the magazine has to be beaten into the gun and you'll find the wire gets in the way of the hopup assembly. It not worth the trip to ship back since they sent you the same one with similar problems.

I live so far away from Evike that its not worth the time to purchase the swordfish MP5K. The Cyma hi cap mag fell apart from the inside as I shake the magazine part coming out from the BB feeddoor. If your looking for reliable guns and magazines stay clear away from Cyma. If you like to pay for high price and week later find out the gun was not performing as it should. Im very dissatisfied with overall QAQC before you ship a fine product. This will be my last purchase since they cant fix it right.

"Probably the nicest MP5 on the market, mostly because there aren't many anymore being sold nowadays. It feels really nice to hold, not to light not the heavy, and the general aesthetic to the gun is very nice. Here are some pros and cons.

Pros:
-Very nice looks
-Comfortable hold
-Came with grip attachment
-Steady fire rate
-Easy customization
-Good accuracy
-Great range

Cons:
-Too many "wiggly" pieces
-Loose frame
-Fire rate could be considered slow
-Taking grip on and off requires to take off the whole front rail and frame
-The worst and weakest mag weld I have ever seen
-Magazine falls right out
-The battery compartment is sloppy, you just shove it in the stock (another wiggly piece)

"Bought this gun last week. Got here in a gif (free 3 day)

After initial impression and some tinkering, I have mixed feelings about this gun. Firstly, within ten minutes of having it out of the box, the spring keeping the charging handle forward came off and the whole unit would slap back and forth freely (I ended up just taking it out). Also, not sure if it was supposed to but mine came wired into the front hand guard. Makes no sense but I guess I'll have extend the wires and run them back.

It's a nice gun! Just left a sour taste after dealing with errors like this. I seem to have horrible luck with almost everything so maybe I got a lemon.

Internally, the gun is impressive. Could use a better trigger, but beyond that the shimming and AOE is rather good for a stock gun. There's vary little gear whine and that's vary important for me, a Milsim junkie. Gun sounds phenomenal on an 11.1v lipo. Definitely needs a mosfet of some kind however.

If you're looking to kimbo slice two of these things, awesome - go for it. That's where these would be most fun. Just don't under estimate the weight. These things are heavy. For Milsim, I would only recommend this as a backup.

All in all, decent externals, solid internals.

Gun gets a 7. But because of the charging handle, I can only give it a six.

"Got one of these as a gift. I am loving the experience and fun I am having with the gun......but I haven't used it on the field yet. The main problem is this gun doesn't shoot below 400fps. I chronoed at 405fps at evike and 415fps at Hollywood sports. No big deal right, I'm new to the sport and looking to get my hands dirty on some gun internals, I'll Change the spring. Gearbox came out and apart no problem, except for what was inside. The internals looked like they came out of a Toys r Us gun. Cheap plastic, The tube on the cylinder head is low budget brass and kinda crooked, and the whole thing was full of funny colored lubricants. If you are looking to learn how to work on an airsoft rifle this one has been perfect.

The gun fires like a laser beam in the backyard. Will tear cans and cardboard boxes up. I love it because of the looks. It's an ugly, bull nosed blunt instrument that feels great in the hand. Everyone is telling the truth so don't say, "how heavy could it be?" Compared to my m4's it's a bar of lead. I shaved off as much excess beautifying parts to try and cut as much weight as i could and it is still heavier than the Titanic's anchor. I like the weight personally, but it is noticeable immediately upon picking it up.

I like the gun because its weight lends well to my style of shooting and the entire inside needed a little attention so my need to tinker was focused on something. I don't recommend the gun to anyone, can't have that on my conscience. But if you are looking for the only one like it on the field this is the guy. Rookies can't use it cause it needs gunsmith attention, and experts probably won't use it cause they have plenty of other money pit projects.

"Bought this gun and loved it but the FPS is a lie. Shot it at 400 FPS when it should be 350 and we took it to evike saying it was false advertisement and they did it for free. Great service and chrono was 350 at evike but took it to the local airsoft field and its chrono was 360... the guys told me evike's chrono was probably old that can be 10 fps off... sooo now i have to back to see if they can fix it yet again... other then the chrono problem great gun..

"Just purchased this item. Got a battery and tested. Gun doesn't fire properly, bolt also has Crack in it. Emailed complaint Saturday. This was supposed to be a Christmas present. The gun looks awesome and the weight is excellent. Will have a new post once issues have been resolved. Hopefully evike will handle this complaint well.

"Honestly, this gun is not good for the price. The externals are made of plastic and very cheap fragile metal that can and will break on you. The trigger response is abysmal with a 7.4 and not much better with an 11.1, and I don't feel comfortable using an 11.1 because you can hear the gearbox struggling with that high of a voltage. It looks alright, but you basically cannot remove the swordfish rail and front piece on the swordfish-k because it does not come with the parts that they took off to mount the rail. I would just buy them, but cyma mp5k front sights are discontinued and unavailable anywhere. I got the Swordfish-k pdw and the magazines wabbled and so did the stock. The barrel and bucking are also cheap and low quality. If this were 50 or 100 dollars cheaper, I would say it's an ok low price gun, but at 200 dollars it's way overpriced for the quality. I would say go get a cyma platinum m4 and an angel custom mp5 adapter. Its about 50 dollars more, but it is literally more than twice as good.

"I bought this gun n from day one ive been having jamming problems and its not the mags. I like the look of the gun, shoots great when it decides to work. Its a super heavy gun for being mostly plastic. For $234.00 i expect the gun to have no problems. Who ever QC this gun was lazy dont buy it
