Shadow Op MB01 Type96 MK96 APS-2 Airsoft Bolt Action Sniper Rifle (Color: Black / Add 3-9x40 Scope + Bipod)

"I love it when a great clone comes along and slaps the airsoft snobs in the face. I bought this gun based on reviews from people who actually owned it and I feel it lives up to all expectations. The only problem I encountered is the fact that the handle on the bolt will come loose with excessive use, but I just tighten it up and go on my way. Anyone who goes into the field without your allen wrenches is a tool anyway (ha made a pun). While many people shun spring snipers, I feel this gun is of high enough velocity and accuracy to put up a fight as long as you keep your distance (like all snipers should) or stay out of sight (once again, like a good sniper). Also, there should be some sort of moderating process for reviewing guns on this site. Like maybe only letting people who own one review it, and let the folks who sit and home and wish for an underpowered Marui do just that, sit and wish.

Good: Velocity, accuracy, quality
Bad: Low capacity clip, spring powered, extremely heavy (makes carrying two guns a chore)

the gun is obviously really good but when i got mine, i could even shoot 25 feet.... i don't know maybe factory defect or something but the gun i got sucked! i dunno...

"Well i love this gun but it has some problems like the hop up even on zero it still curves up i hate it i cant hit anything. But over all its a good gun but the clip doesn't hold much.

"ALright, i got his gun yesterday and i thought it was going to be amazing...I was disappointed...It had fantastic FPS, but with a sniper grade rifle, it just wasnt hitting accurately, every shot was veering to the left. I opened up the gun and pulled the thing apart, the barrel spacers were all bunched to one end, so i double-sided taped them into position, a more balanced one at that, and reassembled the gun...I attached the scope and took some .28 gram bbs and it shot MUCH MUCH better. I suggest .25s personally, for the added range, the accuracy is less though. The bolt pull is really nice, but you have to give some effort! Now i can easily tear through a soda can at 75feet or more, but you have to use hopup alot in order to hit accurately, or all the bbs will drop lower. Overall i suggest this gun, but dont expect amzing headshots at 150 feet, or you'll be disappointed!

"Good all around gun. Shoots well and has a good range. The gun is quite heavy. During prolonged games and i have it slung over my shoulder my arm gets tired from carrying it. The hop up is a little hard to get to. The hole and screw dont quite line up correctly.

"The UTG MK96 is a very good and reliable sniper rifle. It's very sturdy and made mostly of metal besides the stock. It is power and hurts like hell!!! pretty accurate at long range except when windy (most airsoft guns aren't anyways) the include bi-pod (also full metal) is awesome and sturdy. the only problem I have with this gun is that it is a little too heavy for people who like to move around. so if you like to move around consider getting a UTG M324 instead. Also, if you get the scope that comes with it, get rid of it ASAP it is horrible and nearly impossible to zero it in because in order to adjust it you need a screwdriver and it will just tear up those soft little screws. try getting the Leapers 3-9x40/50 its way better.

"I got this gun for Christmas and out of the box it looked really good. it didnt seem too heavy. putting it together wasnt too hard but.. after reading some reviews it seemed like a great gun (accuracy wise) so after I finished putting it together i put on the scope that comes with it and took out my new BB's. the BB's are .25g. i loaded them in and began to shoot. I realized it was not the pin point accuracy i read about on here. ii dont know if i did some thing wrong putting it together or not but it seems like the BB's shoot downwards if you hold the gun pointing down a second or 2 before shooting. Also, the BB's curve to the left a little even without wind. I need help fixing this very soon. i adjusted the hop up after i realized it wasnt accurate.PLEASE HELP!! thanks :)

Accuracy needs to be fixed before use
It gets hard to cock

This gun is decent worth the money but u need to spend sometime on it, cant wait to use it in a war ;) Hope this helped

"This is a great rifle but it does have some cons. The inner barrel is a free floating barrel so the manufacturer put in two cheap foam discs that dont really help reduce the inner barrel vibrations. What i did to fix the problem is got thermal duct tape(its dark gray) and wrapped the inner barrel to the width of the foam discs and made two of those. One an inch away from the end of the barrel and one at the beginning. Then i wrapped blue painters tape in the middle. Doing this made it amazingly accurate even with 20s. Another con is that the "gearbox" is a plastic gearbox. In other words it sucks. I ''reinforced'' mine with the thermal duct tape cuz it came with two in it. Overall the gun lasted 3 months with little problems. Oh and remember to check your gearbox every week or so to watch out for in it. Hope this helps
