"Top tier, I’ve always been a fan of emg but omg the externals are mwah. Would recommend for a airsoft veteran so they can appreciate this in fool.

"Excellent gun out of the box. The rof is very good with an 11.1 but be ready for your gears to shred after about 20,000 rounds if you run the 11.1 exclusively. Otherwise this gun is very solid, theres no wobble. The finish is nice and the trademarks are very cool. Magpul moe stock will fit on this if you want something better than the emg fat stock.
Pros:
Rof turns heads when you mention it’s stock internals
Accuracy out of the box
Fps floats between 380-390
Great visual showcase of a Daniel Defense rifle
Fits lipo batteries in buffer tube comfortably if you change the stock
Trigger response is very quick
Cons:
Price is a bit high for gearbox quality
11.1 will eventually destroy your gears
In short, pop a big 7.4 lipo in this thing, throw some attachments on, and you’ll have an excellent intermediate level rifle.

"This is my favorite primary I carry when I play I love the QBS by cyma I wish more companies did it, I played with it stock for While he for upgrading none of the parts Broke on me just wanted to make the performance even better. Out of the box it really is sold very snappy if I was to compare it to anything it’s just under the Avalon v2 out of the box.

"I love this gun. The weapon works well and hits hard. Its nice and heavy and when you get the right attachments for it, its a killing machine. I'm thinking about hooking an HPA system to it because I hate the battery port. I would say the only con is the battery port since its hard to hook my batteries up. But all in all its a great gun and even my local airsoft store said its a top notch gun. I can say this gun will last me a lifetime.

"This guns build quality is absolutely amazing.
The only gripe I would have is that the hop up is not the best, I have put a flat hop bucking and nub in and it’s mediocre now.
Other than that the gun is awesome I use a 7.4 titan lipo and the trigger is super snappy and rate of fire is good.
I personally swapped my rail system out with the Daniel Defense 4inch kit that’s in evike so I can use it easier indoors and all day because this rifle is HEAVY.
Overall would recommend it if you’re looking for great external build quality.

"First things first, this is the gun I bought to get back into airsoft. I haven’t played in years and years, but now that I live in an area where I can attend mil-sim games easier, and constant nagging from buddies I finally caved.
With that being said, I’m blown away! Things have definitely improved since I last was into the hobby. I’m not a tech, but as soon as this got delivered I took it to a friend who is a tech. We split it open and went through it, and man this thing is sweet! Construction is fantastic, and it’s a very solid weapon.
CONSTRUCTION/MATERIALS:
Feels extremely solid in the hand, absolutely no wobble in the stock or other areas. Compared to real steal, the pistol grip is a little slick to me and the ejection port cover is definitely made from some thin Chinesium, but those are easily remedied. I do feel as though the real DD RIS II’s are slightly more solid, but this thing is great for the price considering real steal RIS II’s can go for the price of this whole weapon.
INTERNALS:
Again, I am no airsoft tech. I did purchase a different motor, bucking, and barrel when I originally bought the weapon based off recommendations from a friend who knows his stuff. When we took this thing apart, we were definitely surprised at the quality of components installed from the factory. The motor is pretty much good to go out of the box unless you really want that extra torque or MAYBE longevity. The nozzle is trash, like what others have said. Definitely had larger than desired variance in FPS and pretty lack luster compressions, all of which seems to stem from the nozzle. The piston and cylinder head both seem good to go, the nozzle is 100% the issue. I’ll definitely be upgrading, and I recommend you do as well if you buy this thing. The gear box was decently shimmed, but it won’t hurt if you get yours re-shimmed. The hop up seems pretty sheisty, mine doesn’t work as badly as what others have reported, but it leaves a little to be desired and I’ll be upgrading that as well. I would also recommend upgrading the barrel to get that extra FPS especially with .25s. The dean’s connection is a nice touch and welcomed. The crane stock leaves tons of room for a battery. I’m able to fit 2 1450 MAH 11.1’s in the stock.
FPS:
So out of the box, this thing was shooting at about 280 with .25’s. Obviously that’s not what we’re looking for, but can be fixed easily as well. After squaring away the compression issues with a half-assed o-ring fix at the piston head and a new barrel, I’m right around 345ish with .25s. Again I’ll be changing out the nozzle which should help even more with compression irregularities.
This thing does have a mosfet and micro switch trigger, both of which are a nice add right out of the box. Semi is snappy. Using 11.1 lipos with mine, and I’m curious to see how everything holds up, but as of right now I’m feeling pretty confident this was a good investment.
For 300 bones this thing is pretty legit, and with another 60 bucks you can make this thing even better. I will definitely recommend this weapon, and look forward to breaking it in at our next event.

"Cycles and sounds just like my other two cyma platinums. Haven't cracked open the gearbox but assuming it's 13:1 gears short stroked 4 teeth like the other plats with some of the best shimming out of the box I've seen. These benefit from an o-ring nozzle upgrade right out of the box but perform fine without doing so. Haven't gotten a chance to test it out in depth as it comes stock and I most likely wont bother before rhopping it etc. I've seen others say the stock nub is soft and can lead to a lack of hop. If you want to use it out of the box as is and want to run slightly heavier ammo just throw in a stiffer nub. This has a functioning bolt catch. One thing I noticed is that the gearbox shell isn't coated black like my other plats. Instead it's silver and seems to match my brothers cyma sr16 gearbox shell with functioning bolt catch.
Externally the gun is worth the money alone. The dark earth model just looks insane once you get the ugly orange flash hider out of there and pop a stubby on it or whatever you're going for. Can't speak for the reliability of the etu but again it will be upgraded anyway. These are things you should consider if you don't plan on upgrading it though. Basically buy it if you're into the DD mk18 look because this thing pops differently than your average DD repro rail thrown on an m4.

"Very solid construction for metal rail upper and lower receiver
Great pairing with the 13:1 gears and 16 tpa motor and the micro switch trigger is very nice. Great FPS and ROF. Also the trigger board can be replaced with a gate THANKS YOU Cyma.
With all that been said the Hop Up unit is trash and the nozzle should have been upgraded.
Two thumbs up field test and worked perfectly, Very happy with my MK18 for under $300

"Pros:
1. solid external build
2. best quick spring change system
3. 13.1 short stroked gears
4. full metal rack piston w/ metal head
5. properly ported cylinder
6. aluminum cylinder head
7. rotary hopup
8. sturdy midcap
9. 6.03 inner barrel
10.etu trigger unit
11. deans
12. no stock wobble
13. neo magnet motor
14. nicely shimmed
15. ball bearing spring guide
Cons
1. hop-up turned all the way up hardly give any hop
2. cheap plastic nozzle- no o-ring
3. does not come with black flashhider
Recommendations.
1. buying a spare nozzle with o-ring
2. new bucking / nub
Conclusion.
Cyma has set the new standard with their platinum series m4 , overwhelmingly are the most recommended brand and bang for ur buck for both ak and m4 platforms. Usually i have to replace parts on high end guns but the internals in this gun is practically perfect stock aside from a new bucking and nozzle. Even the iron sight where not cheap at all and are actually one of the most if not the best built sights on a gun out of the box. Trigger response is very snappy and a high ROF ....will be installing DSG gears to use a 7.4 lipo to ease the stress on the ETU

"Purchased the Mk18 version April of 2023 and have put about 40k bbs through it since then only running it on 11.1 lipos. I havent had any issues with the mofet yet and spam semi like crazy and run fully auto all the time at 25ish rps. Definitely a great gun stock or upgraded!

"had issues with the cord to the battery ripped but great gun just be careful with cords in stock.

"I bought the DDM4 400FPS version of this. It’s a fantastic gun right out of the box. I had it for a while and played a couple games on it and unfortunately the motor fried. It was annoying but a relatively hassle free fix. I suppose it was just a lemon so I’m not too annoyed.
It’s a great solid feeling weapon! On an indoor field the larger rail is fine but just a bit too large.
But overall happy with the purchase.

"Quality externals and well performing gearbox… just one thing. This gun with the stock hop up unit, bucking and nub is essentially useless. The stock gun is iOS pretty poor out of the box as far as the hop up goes. It was barely hopping .25s at 75-100ft. I immediately brought it to my local shop and totally replaced the entire unit and bucking and a 6.03 barrel in and it’s one of the best performing guns I’ve ever owned and used in game. If the HopUp was at least somewhat useable I’d give 5 stars.

"Great gun worked great out of the box wires did pinch very easily but besides that gray performing gun out of the box though I could not find a place where I could buy another lower receiver for it because I wanted to do a project build with the same body if you know where I can get one reply
