"Ordered the Black/red Carbine
380fps w/ .20g
25rps with 2200mAh 25C 11.1V, Sounds well shimmed.
~440mm brass inner barrel
Included orange plastic is basically a cap over the very end. Punch front pin and peel orange plastic to expose original metal flash hider. Honestly looks good as it is.
To remove flash hider, punch thread pin into the barrel until it pops out inside, threaded ccw and covered in glue.
Remove stock adjustment lever to remove stock and access buffer tube. Fear these screws will strip fast. Wish the buffer cap had an allen key interface to unscrew without removing the stock.
Not a standard G&P V2 gearbox we've been used to. Anodyzed shell and new parts. Uses torx screws to clamp shell.
Hopup chamber is long arm rotary with distinct positions but not numbered.
EMG MAXX hopup chamber fits.
EMG transparent midcaps will not fully seat.
G&P Skullfrog midcaps fit tight, but no feeding issues.

"Great looking and feeling gun. It's got a nice weight to it and the SI furniture is amazing.
It's snappy on semi and decent in full auto.
I am having problems with the aster though. It shoot in full auto every 3rd or 4th shot for about 4 cycles before stopping. Currently working with evike to get the problem fixed, if I can get that worked out I'd give this a 4/5.

"Non quick spring change gearbox
Motor is G&P M140 high torque long type
Piston is plastic teeth (stripped it within 1 minute of plugging in battery)
Inner barrel is 120mm
You MUST have the gate usb link already or else mosfet gets stuck in program mode / wish that information was stated in description prior to me checking out
**my advice if you know have no knowledge of repairing aeg, look at another brand-for those that DO know how to take a gearbox apart, you will see this gearbox is shimmed perfectly from G&P**
Overall this rig is a perfect addition to my collection

"Selector switch failed almost immediately. Absolutely love the aesthetic and want to buy another as soon as they are back in stock (if ever)

"out of the box, 11.1v 1200 mh battery causes the gun to STOP FIRING ofter one small burst .. motor immediately got seriously HOT ! after a 10 seconds or so it would shoot again but only a handfull of semi.. then same issue .. stops shooting .. 7.4 seems to not have this issue so far.

"Really wanted to give this gun a 5 star. My 1st review does not display. So i will keep this short.
Pros:
-Looks wonderful
-fast trigger
Cons
-very loud
-non quick change spring
- gear box is very difficult to work on. Most are torx screws
-have to buy blue link to fix the over exposure error when playing on sunny days
- stock gun burned motor after 2 months
-stock tappet plate snapped after 3 months
-stock spring is weak

"Bought this gun sometime in March. I've gone to 3 games with it and alot of shooting in the backyard. I want to give this a 5 stars i really do but it really is such a hassel of a gun. It looks phenomenal! I am by no means a tech. I bought the blue SBR version.
Pros:
-looks bad ass!
-trigger response is phenomenal
-light gun and feels good to run around with
Cons:
- it's crazy loud, especially if you decide to upgrade the motor
- motor burned after 4 months of use with no upgrades to it just stock(3 games and use in the backyard)
- not quick change spring system
-gearbox screws are star head
- magazine release button is a tiny star screw
Out of the box gun felt great and shot great however when i 1st took it to the field it completely failed and was not able to use it at all. I bought blue link and the diagnostic says the sensor has been over exposure. So to fix that issue just use blue link to recalibrate when on the field.
Once motor burned( app using blue link told me motor was the issue) i took that opportunity to upgrade it. That's when it went from a 5 star to a 3 star gun. Bought a new motor, hop up, barrel. Nub, and spring. The hassel was the spring it was incredible difficult to put the new spring in while making sure the trigger spring doesnt pop out or the gears slip off. I am in experience with teching so could be completely my fault but still beware for those wanting to put a new spring in there.
Hopup was a max cnc one and it didnt fit in quite right. Had to lightly sand down the turn wheel so it would turn while in the gun. Barrel and nub was easy to install along with motor. All in all i still enjoy shooting it and playing with it but definitely not a 5 star anymore.
PS: after upgrading it shooting pretty consistent and fun to play on the field.

"Great build quality with a few flaws. For starters, the piston has mostly plastic teeth and broke after one game of use. However, I had a spare shs but I understand that not everyone is willing to crack open a gearbox especially one with the aster, which brings me to the next flaw. The aster is notorious and unfortunately known to have selector issues which admittedly are present in this gun. I had to recalibrate the selector about 20 times to get it right and even then it can still feel gimmicky. The rest of the gun is great, good build quality, modern appearance, si trades and snappy response on a 11.1 especially in binary.

"Pros
Receiver has no wobble and is very firm.
Rail has no wobble and is very firm. (SBR 349-353 fps)
Gearbox is very snappy but the trigger pull is long.
Paint is very Nice
Full auto is very good
Cons
Battery compartment requires you to take the stock off completely for easier access to the cap at the end of the buffer tube. (Im using 11.1 1000mah stick type)
Stubborn grub pin used to hold the orange tip. (need pin punch to remove)
Even more stubborn grub pin used to lock the compensator on to threads (need pin punch to remove), this is probably the worst outer barrel design I’ve seen yet.
Even after removing the grub pin I cannot remove the compensator.
No 14mm tracer units will work unless you can either remove the compensator or swap the outer barrel entirely.
Compensator is so thick that it blocks the use of the furthest m-lok slots furthest to the front.

"The gun shoots great. Pictures are deceiving, the red on the receiver set is slightly different than that of the accents on the puffer tube area. the gun shooting is very crisp and has a good rate of fire. The gate aster is an unreliable MOSFET. i was shooting the gun on binary which I programmed it to, I stopped shooting and the gun continued shooting till i switched it to safe. As a tech myself, I do not have huge problems with this as i can just fix it myself, however, it is very disappointing buying a $350+ gun and it not being reliable out of the box. in addition, the muzzle is extremely difficult to get off, and the threads are positive which is annoying.
TLDR: gun shoots and looks fantastic, but isn't super reliable due to the aster MOSFET. do me, this is 4/5, but to the average person who wants a reliable gun out of the box, I'd say it is a 3/5

"Receivers fit nicely along with the rail, there is no wobble. You will have to remove the stock to replace batteries as the buffer tube has a screw cap that is difficult to spin off with the stock on. The gearbox is very snappy and sounds good, although the trigger pull is far too long. I got the 400fps spr and it chronos in at 349-352fps. Beware you will either have to forget about screwing on a tracer unit to your outer barrel or you have to damagemodify it. Compensator explained Part 1: The orange cap on the compensator is held in place by a grub pin. I had to use a heat gun to weaken the plastic on the orange cap and it eventually it leaves the plastic weak enough to pry it off by hand. The grub pin will be left exposed and sticking out (I dremeled mine down.) Part 2: Now that you have the orange cap off in order to remove the metal compensator you will either have to punch out or drill out a deeply receded grub pin because that’s what’s keeping it locked to the outer barrel and it’s 14mm+ threads. Gotta say whoever designed the outer barrel and and compensator did a very poor job, if you are reading this use grub screws in the future buddy. 3/5 for me and I had lot of hope for this aeg.

"Build quality was good, but the weapon itself has loads of internal issues. Mis fires a lot due to bad optical sensor for the trigger, and randomly error codes mid game then needs to be factory reset. Not the best especially for this price.

"I bought this gun as I buy all of my G&P m4s…. As a project. I don’t care how the gun performs. I build $2k custom gun builds off the G&P m4 platform on the regular. The best part about buying from the same brand, is the modularity. Because most of my airsoft guns are G&P m4 based, I can easily exchange upper and lower receivers between any of my guns. I was so excited when my two favorite companies partnered up to make this new gun. I impulsively bought it to add to my collection of G&P guns and I quickly had exciting build plans for the gorgeous externals. I was so excited to have another gun to exchange parts with my other G&Ps. This gun, however, is misrepresented on evike in my opinion. I believe this gun to be G&G based…. And that’s a BIG difference, as G&G and G&P are not modular. I’m greatly disappointed in the completely different branded gun that I bought. The receivers aren’t modular with any other G&P receivers, the outer barrel has a negative thread (which we all know G&P makes positive threads), the gearbox itself is black, G&P uses their award winning gearbox for their guns and the gearbox itself should be silver, the hopup is a rotary hopup, which to my knowledge, G&P doesn’t use rotary hopups, I haven’t taken the gearbox or motor out of the gun yet, as I plan on returning it and don’t want to void the warranty. But to anyone that buys for brand…. This is NOT a G&P
