"Beautiful rifle. Feels great, action is smooth, trigger resistance is amazing, hard to tell when it’s about to fire. Anyone wondering, tip is pinned and glued but mine came off with a set of pliers and pin isn’t part of the muzzle.

Some problems I have. Screw holes on the sides have a bit of blowout and do not have stain in them so they pop out. Upper hand guard was cut off center so it sticks out from the barrel band on one side. The small piece the upper hand guard slots into at the rear is loose and wobbles around. My front sight/muzzle wasn’t affixed almost at all and it came off without unscrewing anything. There is a crap ton of grease on the bolt. The magazine trap door hits the stock and has caused a couple small blemishes in the few times I’ve opened it.

A couple things I will note on real steal additions. My barrel bands don’t just fit. They seam to be a bit different sized but I can likely get them to work with some bending. The lower band retaining spring is 1:1 and I have a real one in it now. A front sight guard clips on like it was meant to be, and the butt plate is quite good too. Will need to shave either the stock or butt plate to match each other but that’s no biggie.i have also replaced the rear sling point with a real one, fits great, screws stick off a bit though. Countersinks on the butt plate and swivel aren’t like the real things.

I haven’t fielded it yet but it’s felt like a fairly stout spring and I’m sure it’ll do well. The push/pull HopUp does concern me a bit but that may just be because I haven’t dealt with that style before.

"I decided to order this after a few weeks of figuring out which WWI/WWII standard issue rifle I would choose to say I have one.
My first impressions with it were the size and weight, which do feel true to the actual rifle it replicates. The second thing I noticed was how stiff the bolt was, which was not terribly hard to get working reliably after one cycling of it, and I'm a fairly small framed person, so I don't expect a lot of people will have difficulty cycling it (tip: keep it shouldered to make it much easier, it may seek intuitive but sometimes you'll want to try working the bolt without bracing the rifle). One problem I did notice fairly early on was that it can double feed or not feed at all if you don't get the bolt cycled the full way and have to try again, you'll usually notice it because the bb(s) will fall out of the end.
Build quality is very good though, and it shoots well. I'm happy with it!

"Best airsoft gun I’ve owned. Build quality is stupendous. Feels so nice. Shoots far and fast. Only problem. After about a month of use my boot would get suck back when I pulled it. And if I forced it forward it would fly forward and fire the gun. I had to return it.

"Overall great gun its awesome and works great with my ww2 loadout

Only downside is the rear sling mount wasn't wide enough for my 1903 leather sling

"I had to preorder mine and it was a long wait, and when i arrived i was impressed with the feel and look of the rifle.
I test fired it and it worked great.

However, the first day i took it to the field a day later it devloped problems as the day progressed. Managed to play a few games with it. Before it decied to "die".

I barely had mine for a day an a half before it started to develop issues that i can only say that the trigger assembly wont reset properly causing slam firing when pulling the bolt back before it wounded up as loose parts in the gun case i carried it in.

I can say its human error on my part for not knowing how to work on guns but these rifles need some improvements.

Either inorder another or atrempt to put my current rifle togeather, i would run a springfield again.

"I'll be honest and say I bought this from the boneyard, but I just finished repairing the trigger group. Much like VSR-10 rifles this gun comes stock with a weak trigger mechanism.

TLDR: If you plan on upgrading this gun, expect to have to do a lot of work. VSR-10 parts do not work in this gun without heavy modification. If you do not plan on upgrading this gun, it is a very beautiful gun and feels very nice.

I purchased a VSR-10 style Angel Customs 90 degree trigger and piston bundle to fix it. Sadly the piston tube is smaller than a VSR tube.

So to fix that I unscrewed the rear 90 degree guide from the new piston, cut that much of the back off the old piston and filed down the old rear guide until I could thread the new rear guide on. I then used a little superglue and threaded it back on. To fix the rear guide not fitting, I filed it until it fit, then sanded it smooth to prevent rubbing.

At this point the piston tube was complete.

The trigger was fairly simple the only thing is the screw for adjusting the trigger pull sticks out to far and requires some wood to be removed. Also the magwell has a slot for going around the trigger assembly that need to be filed open a little. *Note* The safety does not work with the new trigger.

In the end it worked like a dream.

"I purchased this weapon from evike as soon as I saw it in New Arrivals. I was excited for there to finally be a spring "battle rifle". I didn't know what to expect, I haven't purchased any S&T brand weapons before.

The wood stock is light, the whole gun is light, which isn't a bad thing. I imagine the wood is pine, the metal is pot grade(which is expected at this price). It shoots and hops out of the box. It doesn't shoot very hard, but I don't think it was intended as a sniper. Lighter BBs work better. The action seemed pretty stiff at first but loosened up as I cycled it. The mag is a pain to get in and out, but once in its solid.

The only con so far is the mag, it jammed up after the first go through. The feeder tip flipped into a bad position. I have it working now, but be warned, buy an extra mag or two.

Pros:
Seems solid as a whole.
Feels great to shoulder an fire( Not awkward, more natural)
Light

Cons:
Shoots soft(Not as hard as say an AGM L96 springer)
AEG range in BB travel
Mags are wonky

For the price, not a bad deal, good buy. A must if your a WW2 enthusiast

"So to start I absolutely love this gun I have had no problems prior to last night at around 9:00 I was firing it just like any other time I use it and all of the sudden the bolt kept falling back on its own and firing rounds out the barrel without me wanting them to. This has really upset me because I payed a good 250 plus tax and all that garbage on it and now it’s broken. I’ll try and fix it so I don’t have to return it but overall it really is a great gun the wood feels great there’s realistic weight to it and it fires great(when working properly) just be warned that if you buy this gun you do have a chance of it going belly up

"This gun is the most bittersweet thing to happen to my airsoft collection. Here's why.

First off, out of the package it is a BEAUTIFUL gun. Well done wood, steel and aluminum, nice weight but not too heavy, and with the scope mount I bought with it the possibility for an amazing WWII spring sniper was too good to resist. Here's the problem.

The trigger snapped off. Now, of course this didn't happen immediately, I had around 40 or so rounds through the thing with no problem. Then, for some reason, the trigger kept locking. Both safeties were not activated, and there were no prior problems. After a few locks, I tried to wiggle the trigger to no avail, then lightly pulled it with the same force as a normal trigger pull and it completely snapped off. Now, this problem could have easily been avoided had the trigger been made of forged to shape steel, but it was actually shoddily cast aluminium. Which means no welding it back together with a dinky little wire feed welder, no you've gotta have the big bucks and skill to own and operate a TIG welder. And of course because the system is"based on" and not actually a VSR-10 system, no buying replacement parts. You better be the best tinker, machinist, and welder if you want this gun to go somewhere.
The hopup is also a big issue. Not the fact that it's in a weird place or anything, mainly the fact the backspin it puts on the BB is equivalent to if you put a fan on the end of your gun. Which is to say nearly non-functional.

Besides that, the gun looks and feels AMAZING. In fact the reason I give it 3/5 is BECAUSE the feel and look to it nearly makes up for the whole breaking thing. If you're a tinker, a good machinist, perhaps a welder, and know what you're doing, this gun has some serious Saving Private Ryan potential. If you're non of these things like me, I would not recommend this gun. There are other great options out there for WWII load outs. I hear the King Arms CO2 M1A1 is pretty skookum.

"This is my second 03 Springfield an the last 3 months. My first one that was a privlidge to own was the G&G nickel plated gas operated 03A3 which I had numerous problems with, truly a disappointment for a $500.00 rifle, But Evike made good for it. The second time (being a glutton for punishment), I bought the S&T 03A3 spring operated, $200.00 rifle and darn if I didn't have problems with it. I love these bolt action war horses and was very disappointed to report feeding problems with it. When I got it to shoot, It really laid them out there shooting flat and straight at targets over 100 yds away. But it seems like I had many feeding problems concerning that darn magazine. Had many maddening jams, because the bolt does not come out to clear out all the ground up debris from the BB's This made my problems 100 times worse than a feeding problem. I'm still at a point of insecurity and hate to go any further trying to load up the magazine just to have all the bb's be ground out into an bolt cocking nightmare. I went through this problem several times to no avail, hate to send it back to Evike But I like the gun so much I willing to put up with any inconvenience just so I can say that is my favotite airsoft firearm. Having purchased many guns over the years from Evike, I hate to be a griper and a complainer. Buyer beware!

"Looks great, but stopped firing after TWO rounds. Feeding issue appears to be magazine related, as I can get it to work if I hold the rifle upside down when I cock it.
For the price it is very realistic looking .

"I'm a bit ticked with what I got. Some of the wood pieces along the top of the rifle are not securely attached to the gun itself, and can easily be pulled off. This includes the muzzle, which can easily be pulled off and rotated without gluing or welding it on. It's tough to pull the bolt back no matter how much I lubricate it, it's more inaccurate than a rental AEG, and to top it off the rear iron sight is supposed to be screwed on, but instead of a screw they attached it with what I'm assuming is a rivet, and I can't seem to remove no matter what I do. So right now the rear sight is permanently attached to the rifle and I can't attach a scope rail, which by the way came with the wrong sized screws. All that aside, it does look and feel nice. You get what you pay for I guess.

"I have never been so disappointed with a purchase before. The product is beautiful but simply does NOT work. After taking it out of the box I attempted to move the bolt back and it wouldn't move. After some work i was finally able to pull the bolt ack and felt the spring clock. But the trigger went completely limp for some reason. I pulled the bolt back again and bbs began rolling out the barrel. Now the bolt or the trigger don't even function anymore.

I didn't even shoot the gun once.

Complete waste of my time and money.

"Tons of issues with this. When I first got it, the magazine messed up after about 10 shots. I know how to fix that now, but it still happens constantly. After being used against some friends 3 or 4 times, I'm told the sear messed up. It'd cost me 90 dollars for a new seat alone, and it's too late to refund the gun. Go use your money somewhere else.
