"Gun came in perfect condition and has an amazing weight/feel to it. A solid well performing M4.
by Charles C. on 12/19/2019
"Bought this gun as my first EMG and was over all very impressed by the performance out of the box

The rifle has zero stock wobble
No shooting troubles at all while in combat for the last two weeks with the gun
Good trigger response and full auto is pretty decent with an 11.1 Lipo in it

9.5 out of 10 for a gun under 300 bucks

"Cool rifle, would recommend. Get a KX3!

"So, I got this gun a week ago and I gotta say, it's a very solid gun.
I would gave it a 4.9 star because I had to get a deans type lipo battery but as it is logical to switch over to deans in my opionion for long term planning it is not that big a deal, but that would be my only gripe really.

Pros:
-looks AMAZING
-good RPS with an 11.1v lipo
-accurate
-good build quality
-works every time I use it
-consistent shots (chrono'd around 375-380 fps with .20's)
-solid internals
-pre-lubed and upgraded with 8mm bearings
-good trigger response

Cons:
-Can't think of any at the moment

Hope this helped :)

"The trigger response is really nice and it feels really nice

"Got one of these in a mystery box a while back. Great gun, works like a charm, and shoots lasers when you get it dialed in.
Notable issues I noticed:
-barrel lug has Loctite on it, had to use a blowtorch to melt it
-Mk.18 rails will not fit without modification to the upper receiver
-very limited space for batteries in the stock; with a 3s lipo in I cannot fully close the stock due to wires getting crushed

Honestly the only issue for most people is just the battery space which is an actual problem but if you throw a wide stock on you'll be fine. Performance wise this gun is snappy and fast. Trigger response on even 2s is solid and the microswitch is much nicer than the traditional spongey triggers imo. Accuracy is pretty solid once its dialed and groupings a pretty tight. Overall I'd give it a solid 8/10

"Great shooting and preforming gun but the kryptek favlos flakes off very easily.

"Incredibly well built, externally and internally, no clanging of any sort between receivers. Lots of customizability options between all 7 sides of the store bought handguard. My only complaint is the inability to actually change out the handguard, i'm not sure what they've done to build this model but it seems as if something were heated to expand and then fit on because this original guard doesn't seem to come off.

"First, off this gun feels amazing build quality is outstanding and the finish is incredible. My only complaint with the build is that the stock can get loose and wobble. For performance, it has been very reliable. No feeding issues or anything like that. The trigger response is okay. My ARP9 by far shoots faster. The range is alright. At around a 100 feet there is a bout a 12 inch spread with .20s. The hopup is a wheel style. Also, I ordered the 350 FPS version and it shoots 365. Overall if you're looking for a gun that feels great and looks very real, I'd highly recommend it. But for, price to performance, this is not your gun.

"Got mine in, its a great sub $300 gun. It comes wired to deans and accepted my 11.1v lipo perfectly. Put about 900 rounds through it and it has some decent accuracy and nice range out if the box with .30g bbs. Build construction feels great and the motor grip is very comfortable. The motor itself isn’t very good and I swapped mine out after the first few mags,* it still is a great gun with the stock motor*. The stock is also a little wobbly and the fire selector sometimes gets caught and wont fire. Other than my attempts at nit picking the rifle, its a solid, completely ambidextrous, beautiful sounding AEG. I just gotta find mag that like it,* K120 do not feed*

"I have tow of them and one broke within a week but the other one is awesome. I hope that the one that broke is just a manufacturer error and not a comet problem

"I purchased the Shorty in Black.

Very decent sub $300 gun, but a few things to note.

Pros
- Full metal
- Deans and 11.1 LiPo ready
- Enlarged magwell (best feature)
- Reliable gearbox with programmable fire modes
- M-Lok

Neutrals
- Stock wobble is a bit much
- Pistol grip leaves much to be desired, is not very grippy
- OEM'ed by APS
- Non-standard trigger
- Top 20mm rail is not quite to spec, most sights and optics I tried were very tight
- Does not come with iron sights

Cons
- Enlarged trigger guard is ridiculously large, and makes it uncomfortable to use the mag release (worst feature)
- Pistol grip design is terrible, and broke on the second fielding due to stress from the motor
- The coating is very easy to scratch

"After a year of use,
PROS:
-Looks amazing.
-That's it.

CONS (here we go...):
-The sound is terrible. I would have tought with the emplifier it would be nice loud bang, but instead sounds exactly like a spoon hitting the bottom of an empty can. Needless to say I took off the emplifier.
-Built by APS means cheap internals :
plastic piston rack, bucking leaking a ton of air, couldnt get good compression for the life of me with the original piston-head/oring, very cheap motor.
- The killing blow : the pitol grip cap is held by only 1 screw. The screw hole in the cap is too large and enables the whole cap ``pop`` out of place because the screw head is not large enough for the hole in the cap. Broke the pinion gear of the motor because of this.

Would refund if I could.

Final thoughts:
I would never have bought if I knew how cheap the internals were. This is not a 150$ dollar gun, but performs like one, while at least looking good. If I could return it I would because now it is broken and I need to repair/buy new motor and pistol grip.

Stay away from APS.

"Dear Reader,

Please consider this review before u buy it. I am not dumping on APS, I am only pointing out objective fact. This gun is solid when it works, but, the second it breaks, it will be your worst nightmare. The gun is not easy to upgrade.

When I got mine, the motor stripped out within the first 10 shots. The pistol grip only had one screw and a plastic tab. The plastic tap broke off, making the pistol grip unusable. The gun looks great, but it’s truly not worth the money. Please take your money and buy a similar CYMA Platinum.

Please dear lord, avoid the APS gearbox and motors. It’s not actually that great.

"I wish I could give these guns good reviews like others I've read but unfortunately I cant. I bought the green infidel (non 350 fps) and I obtained the black shorty in a box of awesomeness which at first I was happy about so owning 2 I've had a decent amount of experience. Not sure if I somehow got two lemons but I've had problems with both. The green infidel had feeding issues out of box with all mags I've tried and also threw on a g&g green and tried a maple leaf bucking because it didnt seem like a mag problem but a hopup problem. The black shorty worked great at first but the third time I took it out the tooth rail on the piston shattered. Maybe running an 11.1 lipo is too much for these? I have not abused these guns with full auto or crazy spamming of semi auto either.

Pros:
Design is awesome
Programmability is really cool
Both guns decently accurate (when they shoot)
Gearbox shell seems strong
Exterior is very solid

Cons:
FPS seems inconsistent (possibly just with the guns I've got)
Piston feels very cheap. Upgrade it.
Wiring for battery is pretty janky
Changing the spring is hard to do without damaging the wiring

I cant recommend these guns because of my experience especially at the price these go for.
