"Pros:
Trademarks
Looks and feels great
Recoil is awesome
Really accurate
Very gas efficient
Easy takedown
Cons:
Bolt catch doesnt work unless u hold the mag up in the magwell hard(not a big deal)
Dont extend the stock and rest the gun on the butstock, the stock will break, but is easily fixed by popping the piece back in
*Other than that this gun is awesome i personally used to only go with KWAs for GBB's but now i can say WE has been added to the list of good GBB's

"I just bought my second SCAR-L. The first one I converted to the carbine barrell which is longer and make the rifle look more like the real deal. The second one I left in the CQC configeration. The rifle is very realistic in take down and it is a real pleasure to use. Good kick, easy to clean and lube, and the dry fire feature is great. No regrets at all with this one.

"I just got this gun a month ago and it is absolutely amazing. The realism of this gun is incredible, all the parts on the gun are metal and high strength polymer plastic. When fired, the gun makes a very distinct sound and is very loud, so in other words its not for stealth. This gun has so much recoil that if you fire it with the stock folded it has muzzle raise. Also a very good gun for optics, on the top rail it has numbers, so if you have an acog and you want to switch it out for a rds, you can put the acog back on the same number and it will still be sighted in.

Pros
good accuracy at medium range
very adaptable for different optics, grips and other accessories
good attention to detail

Cons
sometimes under full auto the stock will collapse if not all the out or in.
uses a lot of gas unless on semi

over all a great gun!

"I must say this is a great gun.
When I first ordered this gun it sadly came broken (the clip that locks the stock straight was broken off) But I recieved help and great customer service from a C.S. Rep named Richard.
Now onto the gun itself
Pros-
-Great kick
-Pretty good accuracy
-consistant FPS (mine shoot about 390-400 w/.2 and about 340-360 w/.25s)
-Not as much of a gas guzzler as other GBBs
-Solid construction
-Bolt continuously locks back

Cons-
- You NEED a grip for this, it is quite off-weighted
- farely heavy
-The screws on the bottom rail are loose when it comes, make sure you tighten them
- The screw driver that is built into the gas chamber is very loose (I just took mine off cuz it kept falling out
- TERRIBLE SHIPPING!!!
This gun doesn't ship with any bubble rap, styro-foam, nothing
Overall this is a great gun, make sure to get an extra mag with it!!

"This is one of the best guns I've used so far. Chronoed right at 400 pretty consistently which is right in the indoor ranges in my area. Trades are nice but to me not needed. Recoil is pretty close to real steel, feels a little higher than a. 22. Make sure if you use the thumb break method put the charging handle on the weak side or it WILL bite your thumb (I know from experience). All in all great gun for milsim guys, makes you want to toss all your aegs in the trash.

Pros
Realism
Weight is spot on to real steel
Recoil (it has it)
Real cap (milsim)

Cons
Real cap (skirmishers)
None

If you want the most realistic experience buy this (and other) gas gun.

Realistic Weight
VERY VERY easy to fieldstrip

Cons: sometimes a bb gets jammed behind the blowback nozzle

"great gun it has a great kick and i like the full metal

"this is the best gas rifle ive ever had!!!! this gun must be more than 400 fps i shot it through my wood fence and it went straight through it like butter. i bought the green gas version before i noticed they sold c02 ones too. this gun overall gets a 5 out of 5 for performance the fps is really high if u use .2s but the accuracy is a little off. but when you use .25s the accuracy is better but the fps is down. i have a hard time aiming cuz of the sights and the recoil on this beast. so better buy a sight (i use red dot). any way the first words out of my mouth wen i fired this were ''holy s#@t!!!!''.

"This is a great gun, and for the price it is unbelievable. I looked at all the reviews and the you tube videos and was not let down. It is a heavy gun and the blowback makes it even better. I bought the gun over labor day weekend, I spent three hours to get there and three hours in line to get to buy it.
The only problem was getting use to useing gas CO2 cartridges, some of them would expell all the gas before I could tighten the screw. So I was frustrated, because by the time I got home the shop was closed, so I couldn't tell if there was something wrong with the magazine or it was just operator error. After I got the hang of installing the CO2 cartridges the gun literally "Rocks"....

"WE has produced an outstanding product in the SCAR. Initial impressions are quite positive and the 1 for 1 comparison of the real steel is remarkably accurate.

The benefits of GBB vice AEG are manifold:

1-Milsim: The weapon simulates, as best as possible, the recoil and sound of the real weapon.
2-Magazine: In conjunction with #1 above, the magazine is 30 rounds and requires the user to conduct a tactical reload during engagements.
3-Maintenance: Though diligent care is required in lubricating appropriately, this also follows the Milsim philosophy. Lube is cheap, life is not.
4-Complexity: Far simpler in operation than AEG, no gear box, no electronics.

The WE SCAR captures the essence of a real weapon and provides an entirely new frontier for Airsoft and sim-weapon enthusiasts alike. Their attention to detail is impressive and will never fail to satisfy. The weight of the WE SCAR is lighter than the real weapon, for obvious reasons, yet provides a good feel for carrying the real thing.

If you are on the fence as to whether to go GBB or AEG, I recommend the GBB. Consideration should be given for a few factors, primarily is what the user is trying to get out of the game. Do you wish to let slip the dogs of war and open the flood gates of .20g BB's? Or do you wish to get a better feel for the management of ones ammo supply? Another consideration would be operating needs: spring, battery, or gas? Since all weapons require power, how are you going to feed the beast? Batteries give you good engagement time but take time and an outlet to recharge. Gas is quickly refilled and a single charge can cover several reloads, but is expensive (green/red gas) or bulky (standard propane) and the mags can be needy (silicone lubrication required for seals). Spring, let's not go there.

The cost of a quality AEG and GBB are comparible, so the bottom line is: what do you want out of yoru experience? The WE SCAR will quickly become a prized part of your collection, should you go that route.

"i just bought this gun a few weeks ago and recived it in the mail i must say its amazing i love the gun.
it has its ups and downs like any airsoft gun tho i havent quite found one that is perfect but this is the closest i've gotten. its deff a realistic airsoft gun and is probly as close as you can get to the real thing. i'll give you a run down of the pros and cons i've found

Pros
full metal for under $300
easy operation if you take the time to go over the gun
it works like the real deal
heavy weight for more realism
gas blow back it has kick
it will intimidate anyone you play against
loud people will put there heads down when you start shooting
saves bbs due to the 30 round clips you cant just wast 300-400 rounds like a aeg can
collapsible stock is easy to use and continent in tight quarters
fps is better than most 200-300$ aeg's
sturdy holds together well

cons
co2 or gas can get expencive
30 round clip may be realistic but isnt helpful in a fire fight
needs silicon oil make sure us spray the bolt regularly or it will jam and wast gas
heavy for those of you who like a light gun this isnt it
sights the stock sights are a pain get a scope or a red dot and you woulnt have any problems
co2 only last one clip and is a pain to reload
only comes with one clip and extras are around $50 and you do need extras for a battle
clips dont load well with a speed loader bbs go everywhere
loud people will know where you are so stealth isnt its strong point
when out of co2 it makes a wonderful hiss to let everyone know u need to reload

over all the gun is great for anyone who likes it realistic but if your just a spray and prey kinda preson i dont recommend this for you get a saw or m60 instead. this gun will blow a whole mag befor you know it and you will get caught on a reaload. i personaly like airsoft to be more realistic so i love it. i used to use 30round low caps with my ca m15 a4 so the gun isnt much differnt to me aside from looks and sound. the accuracy and fps of a gas gun kill that of a aeg any day so if you like power and hitting your target first shot this will be better than a aeg.

"Excellent Gun.

Lubricate it well with your standard silicon oil and this rifle with go with you for a long way.

Very realistic and heavy. For those that wonder why the lower receiver is made out of Nylon Fiber, it is because it is made to be as realistic as possible. The lower receiver is very sturdy and there is no such thing as metal scar lower receiver.

After watching a few youtube videos, you'd be surprised how easy it is to work on this rifle or to take it apart.

Mine shoots consistent 390 FPS. But the final point is, this is the coolest Airsoft gun I have ever seem. You have to fire it to believe it. I have had mine for over 3 month now and I absolutely love it. I have both the green gas mag and Co2 mag. (for cold weather)

"Owned this for about a month now (Black Scar L) and have put a few thousand rounds through it. It's a pretty good rifle overall with a couple of quirks to it.

-Construction/materials.

The upper and lower receiver materials are a decent replication of the feel and finish of the real steel rifle. The upper is constructed of cast aluminum alloy that, although weaker than the extruded aluminum real-steel counterpart, is fully capable of withstanding whatever you throw at it within the context of airsoft while still maintaining a decent aesthetic. The lower is a mold injected polymer piece that more closely resembles ABS-type plastic than it does the nylon-reinforced polymer of the real thing. The texture is not bad though, and it is thick enough to deliver a solid feel when held. The stock delivers on this same fit and finish with minimal wobble. There is no "wobble" between the upper and lower per se, although one can induce a slight flex if enough force is applied. The gas adjustment valve doubles as a takedown tool and is loose enough to fall out while in the field, so consider additional measures of securing it.

-Recoil, shooting and general operation fit & feel.

The gun kicks hard and has a satisfying sound and feel to its various actions. Shooting feels snappy, the sound is crisp with an audible pop. Wracking the bold produces a very metallic clang that approaches the throatiness of my GHK 553, a full steel construction replica for reference.

The variant sold on this website features an atypical "marine style" 180 degree throw fire selector (the standard throw on this Belgian is 90 degrees), and the manual of arms is identical to an AR or M4 in this capacity. The selector has enough tactile feedback on the clicks to make it feel satisfying.

The bolt on this replica is of course reciprocating, so understand that this will limit the amount space up front for you to place your hand.

The trigger performs well enough to make this replica easily spammable, although the feel is not quite genuine or precise. Modifying OEM parts here to customize trigger feel is not advised as these are made of weaker metals and will wear down to the point of dysfunction.

-Mods/maintenance

Well known weak points of this replica consist of a quick to wear/fail trigger group, poor bolt catch reliability, mediocre gas efficiency, and the loose gas adjustment knob. Sometimes these parts will fail overtime, but on many occasions people have found them to malfunction straight out of the box. In my case, the trigger reset began to fail after about 1k rounds. If you want to add this replica as a reliable and capable piece of your kit, you should consider the following drop in upgrades as practically necessary (and therefore factor it in to the overall cost of this replica):

*RA-Tech complete drop in steel trigger group (all components are shared with the WE m4/416 variant EXCEPT the trigger, which is longer on the Scar). The more expensive cnc steel version is not necessary. It is advised against to purchase individual components of the trigger group from RA-Tech as these may require additional modification to worth with each other reliably.
*RA-Tech NPAS valve. This is a direct, drop in replacement for the factory rocket valve in your air nozzle and will allow you to adjust fps for your local field limits (this gun is shooting pretty hot out of the box).
*Shim your magazine catch. It has been found that adding two 1mm shims to either side of the bolt catch along the pin that hinges it reduces side-to-side sway, increasing the reliability locking back on empty.
*AMG "winter" magazine spring. If you decided to do the "+5bbs mod" to your magazine, know that this will decrease the tension your mag spring will exert on the bolt catch mechanism, overall decreasing the reliability of your hold open on empty. This spring from AMG is stronger, and will increase the reliability of the faulty bolt catch mechanism.

Overall, this gun is a fun and accurate novelty out of the box that will, in most cases, require some additional work and money to bring it somewhat close to the level of something like a TM MWS, or to make it skirmishable in general.
