"This is a pretty nice little accessory for your pistol. It has a good solid feel to it. Unfortunately, it doesnt fit on my pistol which is a WE 1911 "Zombie Killer". I was pretty dissapointed with that, but with a little lathe work, it will fit. If you want to make your pistol look about 75% more cool, I would recommend this.

"I bought one of these compensators for my Umarex model 1911 C02 Pistol, and when I first received it, I was very happy with it. The feel and weight of the compensator itself felt good, but it didn't line up with the body lines of my specific pistol very well. However, (I don't know what the specific part is called, but) the metal tube that slides over the spring guide and holds the barrel lug in place underneath the barrel itself, the hole that piece is supposed to index with on the compensator was too small to fit correctly. I originally just allowed the compensator to press in that piece a small bit because I did not have the tools on hand to modify the fitment. What ended up happening is the first shot I took while the compensator was on forced the metal piece out of the front of the gun, essentially pressing the compensator forward and shearing off the lug on the inside of the slide, completely ruining the compensator. The lug that sheared off was essential for keeping the compensator actually attached to the gun, so after that first shot, it just flew off and I had ruined a $13 compensator. I never attempted to get a refund since it was my fault, but I'm disappointed that there was no documentation warning of the potential that this might happen, and that the lug was made of such a soft metal that it sheared off so easily.
So, if you own an Elite Force / Umarex model 1911 or any other model that is not directly listed as being compatible with this compensator, please ensure that your model will fit correctly with it, lest you ruin the compensator like I did.

"My 1911 is powered by C02, and is apparently too powerful for this compensator. It bent one of the retainers onto itself. My 1911 is neither a WE or a Socom Gear, so it may have been just my fault it broke.
Basically, If you have a C02 1911, look somewhere else.
Pros:
Looks GREAT
Easy to take on and off
Only adds a few ounces to the front of your pistol, although this lack of weight may have been the reason it broke.
Cons:
Not strong enough to withstand C02 blowback, took less than one mag to break
(I ordered a black one) Didn't quite match up in color with my KWC
A real pain to get off once it broke
Didn't sit quite flush, but is very close

"Mine sheared off. Probably either didn't put it on right or it wasn't meant for a co2 gun. Looked cool though, but it did noticeably affect the balance of my gun.
