ASG Ultimate Upgrade CNC Aluminum Double O-Ring Cylinder Head for Airsoft AEG Gearboxes (Type: Version 7)

"I installed this cylinder head in my custom SL8 DMR build. The head itself is very good quality, and when paired with the ASG ultimate silent piston, does actually quiet the gearbox down. The only thing you really hear are the gears and motor. Very good seal in the cylinder, and because of the design, I actually found it easier to put the gearbox back together with this part installed.

In my build, I used an Echo 1 MTC 3 and added an old Classic Army barrel group and fore-end hand guard. Fair warning, the mounting holes in the sides of the ASG cylinder head are small than those of the stock head. I had to drill out the holes to 11/64" for it to fit. Be VERY careful if you have to drill out the holes, because I almost crushed the air nozzle tube... use a drill press, not a pair of vise-grips.

Made putting the gearbox back together easier (for me at least)

Had to modify it to fit. May not be the case with all gearboxes though.

"its a very tight fit on some cylinders, and the only way i was able to put it in a cylinder was to hold the cylinder head in a vise and push and twist the cylinder into the cylinder head, after that everything was a breeze. great air seal, no leaks. only complaint is how tight it is on some cylinders. it put this in my friends thompson m1a1 aeg and was a tight fit in the yellow brass cylinders.

"Used this to upgrade Thompson. It was almost impossible to push into the cylinder. Had to use a hammer to tap it in. So, I guess the air seal will be good.

"The quality is good and nice and you would think that they work with ASG cylinder heads too but nope. DO NOT GET AN ASG CYLINDER HEAD WITH THIS. They are a real pain to put in, all the lube in the world will not squeeze this in. Took me literal hours to put that in this cylinder. Just an FYI, the cylinder is good. Just not paired with an ASG cylinder head.

"will have to grind down the protruding nub to get it to fit standard version 3 gearboxes. This is required to get it to work with CYMA gearboxes. Sure would be nice if Evike would post compatibility data on the parts they sell.

"This is not for a G&G. it has to be for something else. I'm trying to find a cylinder head for the m14 by G&G and so far no dice. The quality of this seems made well and light though.

"I ordered this cylinder head along with the matching ASG Silent Piston Head for my CYMA Beta Spetznaz Ak. My problem, it doesn't fit despite the CYMA having a Ver. 3 gearbox. There's an extension on the cylinder head that makes it too long to fit I to the gearbox. But don't let this stop you from purchasing this product. It did mate up to both a stock CYMA and a stock G&G cylinder no issues at all and produced quite a nice air seal without any modification.

-Doesn't fit in certain CYMA Ver. 3 gearboxes.
