"These grenades are awsome! I bought the core set and 12 shells because EVIKE was sold out of the starter set at the time. I'm so glad I did. I heard people say they don't go off all the time mainly because the firing pin didn't puncture the co2 cartridge. All you have to do to eliminate this problem is take a small file and sharpen the firing pin then add 2 pennies to the co2 chamber end cap and problem solved. Simple fix for a simple yet awsome device.

"Definitely a decent budget option, very much not the best. In an ideal situation, when you rip the pin and free the spoon, the hammer hits a puncture pin that sits on the seal of a 12g CO2 cartridge, which then fills the body of the 'nade, and pressure ruptures the side wall, delivering a butt-puckering 120db. In practice, spoons will break free (if the top of the detonator doesnt crack right at the hinge from impact), shells will either fail to rupture or rupture in a location other than the intended break line that has been molded into the side. CO2 choice is VITAL. I started running these with crossman and copperheads- crossman seals are too stiff, copperheads are too short by 1mm and dont puncture correctly. Your best shot by far is Daisy cartridges, they are the exact size needed for nearly guaranteed puncture.
OF NOTE: a major known issue with these grenades is that the shells will rupture at the base of the threads that hold the detonator into the shell, and leave nothing but the stuck threaded portion inside the det cap. i had to dismantle- NOT standard breakdown disassembly, I had to DISMANTLE the detonator cap, breaking factory glues as I did so in order to get the central thread out of the top so that i could cut the old shell neck out.
Pros-
LOUD
ease of use when they work
simple to reset
on the cheaper side
Cons-
shells split unpredictably
timing of detonation is NEVER CONSISTENT
finicky with CO2 puncturing
hammer spring wears out over time

"These grenades are awesome. They can be thrown ( short 4ish second timer) or set up to defend a point. I did get a bad shell and the thread to the shell broke and got stuck in the core and getting it out ruined the threads so be careful if something similar happens to you. i would still recommend though but bummed about what happened.

"these grenades are great the boom is always satisfying and the terror they cause is awesome. these are great for wood land battles the string is almost impossible to see and they seem to have changed with the new one i bought they are much more sensitive then they used to be but they don't have a hole drill in the bottom cap anymore i recommend that it be done for instant reaction so they cant get away just don't try and use it like a standard thunder b

"Cool greandes, they're quite intimidating, and they're about as loud as a large caliber gun going off right next to your head. However, I've run into some problems with these over the years so I can't rate them 5 out of 5. Back when I first started using these grenades they would blow up on me if I put them together according to the instuctions. Yes, I realize they're grenades and they're supposed to explode but the inner core would break into pieces and become projectiles (not supposed to happpen). The spoons also become highly damaged way too easily. Here's what I did to fix these problems. #1 remove the spoon, they look cool yes but you don't need them and they actually contribute to failures of the grenade. #2 instead of tightly screwing the cap on the bottom of the core on, loosely screw it on. If you tightly screw them on they're more likely to explode on you. Unfortunately they don't make a metal version of the grendades that are more sturdy and less likely to break. Fun while they last though. I'm considering drilling a hole in the core tube or cap, maybe it'll allow the gas to excape the core more easily and lessen the likelihood of catastrophic failure.

"they are really cool and fun to use, but the one problem with mine is that a part to screw in the co2 broke off. i dont know why it did, maybe because of me using or being cheaply made or i just did something stupid so.

"For how cheap these aren’t many cheaper options in the long run, but holy crap they need to make the heads of the cores out of better materials. Every thunder b I’ve ever had break was because the collet stripped the threads around the firing pin. I tried going a little looser with thread locker and no luck. They’ve all broke in the same way. If other gas grenades didn’t break from bad seals I would use those instead.

"I purchased this item in June 2021 from Evike. While I have carried the Thunder B for a few months, I have only deployed it five times. This past weekend was that fifth time. Sadly, the core failed; it cracked at the top. Of course, because of failure, the core is no longer useable. I will assume I had a faulty unit and will get another one. It is a cool product and fun to use. I just wished I would get more than five uses out of it.

"I bought 3 of these due to price was good and poor reviews. figured it could be some fine but may not last long. well... after the 4th time using 1 of them the metal connector ring that holds the cylinder chamber to the head blew off. it distorted the shape a little and stripped the threads. it is such cheap material its almost like its a wear point. but that being said you can not replace it so why have a weak point and not make it replaceable?
bit that being said it is pretty fun and scars the $h!t out of the neighbors!! put a little flower in one and make a hell of a mess!
1 of them is ok after 4 uses and the other is still in the package.

"I have gone through two of these within three months of very little use. My first ever Thunder Blank was through Hakkotsu, I found after my first detonation the plastic inside the head had broken, I could not use it and it was not mendable. I ordered a second one a month or two later and it works fine, my spoon has bent through use but small problems can be expected. They produce around 120 decibels of sound, not enough for ear damage but enough to make you run. If you decide to pick these up be careful as they will not last long, but they are fun. I recommend people pick up two or three of these and use one for parts.

"super fun and loud! but on the 3rd use, the whole thing blew up. but i was taking to ppl and they all said that they have never seen that happen so maybe it was just defective, but still disappointing.

"Used twice and the double ended threaded part that holds the co2 case to the firing mechanism part broke apart on the second co2, unfortunately not covered by any warranty or returns also can't get spare parts,, so basically $30 for uses. Pretty common problem they're made of cheap soda can metal.

"So far...not impressed. Have went through 10 CO2 cartridges and still is not working correctly. Am going to order another core, and see if maybe I got a bad one. To be continued...
