"TLDR: if you're looking to extend battery life or pull any spring, this is a GREAT motor. It will require some other upgrades if you want "fast" trigger response. I ran this with a 13:1 gear ratio; I recommend you do the same, unless you're pulling a REALLY stiff spring (_M170 at full stroke). Even there, you *might* be ok.
I got this motor looking for some reliability and trigger response. It's effectively a commercial version of the "frankentorque" motors, except you don't have to roll your own by getting a loose 28-turn armature/rotor assembly and fitting it to a motor can.
Out of the box, this is a REALLY nice unit to hold. Fit and finish is fantastic, and the CNC millwork is top-notch. Even the endbell is CNC'ed.
It's got ball bearings at both ends of the shaft.
The brushes are gigantic, and appear to have a fairly high silver particulate content in them (not just graphite-based).
After putting a few thousand rounds through the rifle with this motor, I'm very happy with it.
On 1000mAh 20C 7.4V LiPo batteries, it's not quick at all, even with the 13:1 gears.
*** If you want trigger response or ROF with this motor, you HAVE to get a battery than can supply a lot of amps.***
The 7.4V above only gives about 40 amps in short bursts, 20A continuous.
I upgraded to an 11.1V, 2200mAh 50C battery (110A continuous, 220A burst), and the difference was staggering.
However, with this motor and good ball bearings, even the wimpy 1000mAh battery lasted me a full day of skirmishing, pulling a brand new Matrix M120 spring.
A faster motor will still draw the spring, but it'll consume a LOT more power doing so. This thing ensures that your ROF and trigger response will be limited by your battery and gear rate, with minimal change across a range of spring rates.

"☆Epic Performance☆
I used this motor on a Matrix/AGM, Mp-44 with a stock oem fps spring SHS 12:1 gears, SHS 14-tooth blue high speed piston Maxx Airproducts. spring guide, cyl. Head, piston head, cnc air nozzle, 8mm APS bearings, Nitroflon Action Army cylinder tube
Overall a monster of a motor one i het a Tightbore and a mosfet wiring unit ill be set
Buy this motor if you want peak performance

"Fantastic motor! the CNC U-18,000 motor allows me to pull an m140 easily on stock 18:1 gears.
Strong magnets, great pinion gear, and the overall construction of the motor is superb.
Would highly recommend this motor to anyone doing a high FPS build (450-500fps) or anyone doing a quick semi-auto only build because the torque gives amazing trigger response.
Would buy from ASG CNC motors in a heartbeat

"Great motor for the price. In my high speed dsg build it gives m about 50rps on a 14.8 lipo

"My experiences are just about identical to Valentine. CUrrently using an ASG M125 spring, standard ratio gears, and a helical pinion/bevel for torque and noise. The gun shoots a fair bit over 400FPS (currently trying to bump it back under by a few) and still clocks right up around 30 r/sec. Trigger response is absurd. Could actually do with slightly *less* rate of fire, but that's hardly a fault with the motor.

"Awesome upgrade motor. Great magnets, incredible strength. I assume the U18000 is EVEN TORQUIER. i want to try that one next.
I replaced a stock VFC SCAR-L black cased motor with an AEX UltraTorque motor, and my GATE TITAN was reporting peak 89A draw, semi 65A, auto was 29A with RPS 25 on 11.1 LIPO.
I replaced the AEX motor with the ASG motor - all else remaining the same - and the TITAN reported peak draw of 68A, semi 46A, and auto was 27A with RPS 28 on 11.1 LIPO.

"Motor is AWESOME! Works in my SHS 13:1 High Speed Gear, Modify SP150+ spring setup. Running with 11.1v lipo, trigger response is instantaneous.

"Great job ASG. These are outstanding motors. I put one in each G&G Combat Machine I own. The torque is great, response is outstanding. I run an internet design MOSFET in all but one, it has an electronic trigger and G&G MOSFET. The big brushes are nice, magnets strong. Just know that that big torque will eat the stock pistons. I got full metal teeth replacements for these. We'll see how that works. doc

"Super strong motor pulling a M120 spring with 12 to 1 gears no problem and with great trigger response. Totally would recommend this motor to anyone building a high fps build or looking for fast trigger response.

"These motors are the shizz, I was getting 23rps with a 9.6V batt, and 18:1 gear set. The rare earth magnets are so strong you can stick stuff to the outside of your motor grip. Very torquie and So very very faaaaaaast!

"this thing is sexy. blows the stock g&g raider motor out of the water. (18,000 rpm)
running stock everything (stock gears, stock wiring, 9.6 NiMH battery,) this thing is hitting 20 rps.
i plan on switching to deans, getting a 10.8, bypassing the fuse, and installing a mosfet. hope i hit 30 rps doing this. (ill take 30 rps on a non-lipo with stock gears thank you very much)
wasn't too happy with the way it was shipped though.
its great, it was my first upgraded motor though, take that for what its worth. (CNC is nice)

"this thing is sexy as hell in my G&G raider.
i got a full metal raider and chose to custom build it from the ground up when parts broke.
the stock motor G&G motor is 18,000 RPM (dunno the torque)
this motor is 45,000 RPM (this motor turns 2.5 times quicker)
on top of that this has about 2 times the torque of a stock motor. so yeah... kinda blows it out of the water in every regard... throw an 11.1 lipo on this thing and you have a monster.
currently (get it, pun?) i am running a 9.6 NiMH on a Timia connector. it shot my trigger response up a little bit, and my RPS by around 5 (gauging by sound).
i love it. its fully CNC... absolutely no plastic, its fantastic. are there better motors? yeah, are they more expensive? yeah.
overall not disappointing in any way. a strait upgrade over the stock motor in every regard.

"10:1 m140 at 32 rps yup seems to work. Would recommend this over the 1800. Faster response and heats up with activebreaking at about the same rate. Has never actually gotten hot and wont even get warm under normal use. I have 3 of the asg motors and one thing I have experienced with all of them is lots of carbon dust. After a few thousand rounds be sure to clean them.

"So far, I'm getting nothing but amazing results with this motor. increased rps by 10. I'm running a mosfet, deans, 16 awg wiring, ics 18:1 gears, cyma piston, perfect compression, and an m110 spring settled. I'm getting around 30 rps on an 11.1v. with 410 fps. that's insane! especially on an ssg build.

"Great motor, super strong magnets, I mainly bought this to improve my guns trigger response on semi auto, and so far it has been a beast! I use an 11.1v 25c-50c Lipo, and the trigger response is close to instant. I don't know how high of a spring this motor can pull (Since my two local fields limits are 350fps and 400fps) but it makes trigger response extremely fast.
