Lonex Compression Upgrade Set w/ POM Type Piston Head for Airsoft AEG Rifles (Model: XM-177)

"The compression you get with this and a lonex piston head is basically perfect.

The only reason I am giving this 4 stars is the ... two side holes (idk what they are called) on the cylinder head are roo small to sit on the ... metal nub things in my JG g36c gearbox. This can be fixed if you have a friend with a Dremmel head designed to work against metal (which I dont) to Drexel out the holes to make them a little biglt wider.

Right now I can't use the cylinder head with my g36c gearbox.

I'm willing to give lonex the benefit of the doubt on this one because I have one of the reallllllly early versions of the JG g36c. Like the JG g36c is already ancient but mine is from like 2009, and I've found inconsistencies between the knternals of my JG G36c compared to less old models.

So I cant speak to any other model of G36c but if you have one of the really ancient JG G36c models that ibhave there is a chance you may have to dremel the cylinder head so that it fits in the housing of the gearbox.

"I love these Lonex kits and run them in multiple guns.
However, BE WARNED, the nozzle will NOT fit the G&G P90 (PDW99). It is much shorter than the stock nozzle. Otherwise, good kit as usual.

"Great upgrade set with really good airseal without any fuss. Just make sure you use enough lube when assembling and you'll be singing while the enemy runs or perishes. The parts are well machined and seem to fit most, if not all, makes of gearbox. They even fit is gearboxes with tighter dimensions like LCT. The piston head is probably the best part of the whole thing. It's light weight and can stand up to M150 springs and possibly even M170s. Just be sure to use a sorbo pad with it though (not included) as it's POM and will explode on you if you don't.

This kit is deserving of 5 stars, but the only thing holding it back in my books is the nozzle not being aluminium. Not a necessity but just gives me the illusionary piece of mind that the gearbox is stronger.

Definitely worth a buy if you're looking to upgrade your gearbox.

"The cylinder head and cylinder are really good, but there are still quite a bit of problems that come with it. The cylinder head was really difficult to install, but in the end had very good compression. The piston head is very poor quality, after about 1000 rounds, the bbs just started falling short 10-15 feet in front of me and my gear box made a horrible noise and eventually jammed up, all in the span of around 2-3 minutes. I took my gearbox apart and come to find out that the screw that held the piston head to the piston was completely stripped out and the screw was bouncing around the gearbox. The piston head was broken too and lost all compression. The metal piece that is pressed into the piston head also came undone. I had to throw the piston head into the trash and ended up replacing it.

- very good compression/air seal
- very good shot to shot consistency

Cons
- poor quality piston head

"Very underwhelmed with this set,
The cylinder head does not fit on the cylinder, not with grease, not with lube, not with love, not with force.
The piston head is nice, good bearing included. I imagine the airseal would have been incredible, but it does seem like they overdid it rendering those two parts incompatible

"I’ve bought two of these sets for my m4 and my p90 and I’ve had trouble with both of them. The cylinder head is wayyy too tight to fit in the cylinder. I attempted to gently press it in with a c-clamp and ended up damaging the nozzle. The air nozzle and piston head seem to work great but I had such a hard time sealing the cylinder head to the cylinder. I even had to remove one of the O-Rings because I couldn’t set it far enough in the cylinder to get the fitment correct for the gearbox. It seems to working fine now but I have a 5fps variation in between shots and I feel like it has something to do with removing that extra O-Ring. Please fix this issue because I love this kit and it’s price is good compared to others.

"The set is nice and yeah, the compression is absolutely insane as is installing the cylinder head into the cylinder. Once together it is not coming out without a fight.

I have to give this a pretty bad rating unfortunately because the piston head in my set has a break right behind the O-ring and I have no clue how that could possibly happen. I installed the set into a gun for fitting and took it right out. Hadn't fired a shot and it's already worthless. I guess I got a lemonnnnnn

"This is a terrible product. For starters the screw in the piston head stripped causing extensive damage. Secondly the cylinder head was too tight for the cylinder.

"Mine didnt come with a nozzle and the head doesnt fit into my standard CYMA gearbox. Overall not worth buying
