"The EMG PDW is an amazing piece of equipment. It is an accurate gun complimented by a more than adequate fire rate and is all installed on a compact, modular frame. This rifle was designed by Knights Armament to be an upgraded version of the M4 that would allow the operator to conceal his weapon, and take full advantage of the qualities of having a compact frame and yet still pack a punch greater than the traditional 5.56 but not compromise accuracy nor penetration by chambering the the 6x35mm round. Basically what this means for us airsofters is that this weapon is far superior to other models due to its compact size, modular systems, can be easily adapted to and has great maneuverability. Other than that, this thing is very accurate and really can send a lot of bbs down range to your target and fast. The thing that impressed me most was the build of the weapon. This guns is entirely metal. The only plastic on the whole system is the air seals, the grip, and the hop up bucking, the rest is all either CNC machined aluminum or steal. The upper receiver(and RAS, its one big piece) is CNC ed aluminum as well as the barrel and lower receiver. The bolt and bolt carrier is steal and the trigger mechanisms are all fricken metal!!!! This gun is invisible!!!!!!! I have never found another airsoft rifle built as well as this one. Oh, and there is one other interesting feature that the WE PDW has, IT IS A GAS BLOW BACK RIFLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The blowback is amazingly hard and is a very nice feature. This does require that you lube your gun A LOT, but it is soooo worth it. The PDW has flip up sights, a folding stalk, ambidextrous mag release and fire selector, a locking bolt, a forward assist button, and many more features(dont want to spoil your appetite)
Pros:
Accurate(.28s recommended tho)
Nice fire rate
!!ALL METAL!! (legit!!!)
Very heavy
Superb maneuverability
Some very nice flip up sights
All systems are true to the real steal
Real capacity magazines
The list goes on!!!
Cons:
For some it might be heavy(not I :D )
It has real capacity magazines( i think it is more fun)
Some people might not like to HAVE to lube it
Overall: this is an amazing buy, it is the best built gun on the market and yet is the cheapest of the GBBR, THIS THING WILL NEVER FAIL YOU(just lube it). It is the best model assault rifle out there( not talking about DMR's and such) Honestly, I believe you have to grasp one in your own two hands to understand what this gun is all about.
Basically if you are in the market for any form of assault rifle and have liked the previous M4 models then you should really pick up one of these off EVIKE.COM(cheapest site by about 80-100 $ i checked). I am currently using my PDW as my primary/secondary to my upped Tanaka M700. It allows me to fill any role possible(-support) and be more of a team player and and independent and lethal force on the field. This is truly a feat of airsoft engineering and it is the beginning of a new era of milsim.

"I received mine last week and it's great! Very accurate overall and has a nice sturdy feel.
Pros:
Rubber pad on the stock is very comfortable and love the angle.
Good kick blowback
Internals are pre-lubed so no need to lub it out of box.
Accurate flip up Knight's sight
Fairly accurate with .25s it might be better with heavier bbs
Full metal
Cons:
No hicap magazine so you run out of ammo quickly, but that is realism.
I recommend getting a few extra mag, its super fun!

"A nicely designed platform that is light weight and compact. I was skeptical about gas mag not having enough gas to clear 30 rounds but so far it is working perfectly as expected.

too hot for certain fields

"Amazing gun out of the box. I was deciding between this and the SCAR GBB and I finally went with this for it's compact size. (It is even more compact than it appears in image! FPS is out of the box about 410 FPS on mine. Pure Amazing...This gun is by far the best GBB on the market. Also with the new Open Bolt its more realistic... this gun is very accurate and offers an awesome KICK...

"Just received the KAC PDW and as i unboxed the rifle it had already been pulled out of its bags and there was a bubble wrap bag that looks to fit either a mag or an instruction booklet which was not present.
This could mean the item was checked or that it was the demo but seeing as i’ve def gotten those demos before i’d think this be less likely that situation again.
Testing the rifle and not packaging it back up is very probable.
Unlike all the reviews from buyers though and other retailers posts which show the KAC with two magazines.
The one pictured for the item and also the Knights Armament Mag.
My Rifle only came with one m4 mag.
A def issue is a missing grub screw on the gas block.
It wasn’t in the box and there should be two next to each other.
Another oddity is the rear stacked sight is way off center, cocked to the left.
If you put a sight or RMR on top of the stacked pic rail style rear sight it will point to the left. It looks very weird without it on.
With all the initial findings out of the way i’ll get to performance and the Pmags Bought fir the rifle.
The KAC seems to be performing pretty well. I’m being very mindful of the nozzle and bb pusher though as it’s made more like a gas pistol than a “M4 gas rifle”.
What i mean is instead of M4 style lugs which the bb pusher/injector is a part of ,having the hop up lugs meet up to the nozzle lugs which help to support the pusher while keeping it from entering the hop up at an odd or wrong angle.
This uses a nozzle where the pusher is directly under the nozzle like a pistol with no other supports around it. The hop up itself is built like a pistol with a ramp the size of the pusher with the bucking above it,like a pistol.
The nozzle and pusher have to hit perfectly inside the ramp and hop chamber.
If the nozzle is slightly off it will hit the hop up ramp wrong.
Maybe i’m paranoid and really have no idea i can rely on this system but compared to all my other GBBR I just find this looks less reliable and thus us why people constantly break the bb pusher and rip the nozzles in half.
I found this setup also affects putting in a mag while the bolt is closed. You’ll snap the bb pusher on the nozzle if you jam a mag into the well while the bolt is closed.
Be careful and mindful of this!
I also bought the $35 convertible barrel to extend this short version to the longer one. The barrel is dimpled exactly the same but is not a traditional convertible system where the pieces of the barrel all thread together with a 14mm threading end to end.
This is a barrel for the original version 1 style hop up.
It will not attach to the inner barrel and hop up block but will attach to the gas block with its factory pins and the second stage non threaded half does attach to the gas block aswell using the grub screw which mine was missing one of the two.
Please check if yours has two grub screws on the underside of the gas block.
I did an unboxing for this but haven’t posted it.
incase EVIKE wants to see it?
It would be too much work to modify the first half of this barrel, especially since there is an actual kit for this, even a kit with a new bolt and nozzle which i’ve been looking for but been unsuccessful.
I’m going to keep the KAC but return the Convertible barrel that’s not a convertible barrel but an actual full barrel.
The KAC PDW does look great and the finish is nicer than i thought it would be.
There’s some quality there that makes it extremely simple to work on and maintain.
The KAC trades are nice though they’re not etched into the receiver.
I thought it was a bonus that it takes PDW Nozzles and Scar nozzles but then i saw both nozzles have been out of stock.
I’m only getting 30-40 rounds per mag using the pmags.
Mine is the “400fps” gas mag version.
I haven’t unboxed my new chrono yet so i’m not sure yet what the actual fps is.
I just unboxed this a few days ago though it arrived a few weeks ago.
With everything above said i have no regrets buying this,i really just wish i could’ve gotten the longer barrel version instead of the short and that i knew why i keep getting oddities or odd things missing?
It would save a lot of hassle, headache and money!
Will update if i find any more info, hope this helps!

"Within a week of receiving this product, the outer barrel came loose, something cosmetic with the gas block(s) came loose, and the flash suppressor that EMG provides damages the threads. Don’t buy if you want to mod without machining or buying aftermarket parts.
Actual system seems to be fully operational. Just the modularity that is lacking, plus overall externall QC

"Wrote a previous review a few weeks ago, just found out today that the main frame is cracking! That + the broken charging handle has made me really angry with the metal work of this product. I now give this a 3 star
Frustrating cons:
-Poor metal work
-Hard to insert mags
-Co2 mags leak
-stiff selector switch
-Hard to remove plastic flash hider

"Review from an active duty Marine. Played for three hours about five or six small games with green gas and co2. Not a bad rifle but didn't shoot many rounds through it (only semi auto)before the internals gave up. cleaned it plus lubricating and inspecting after each game. Now it purges gas every trigger pull. Bought aftermarket internals but didn't have enough time on leave before they showed up. Not worth the 400 plus dollars more like 500 with mags for a few hours of light play but aside from that it was fun. Before I put it in storage I noticed the outer barrell securing pin sheared off so now I have a quick release outer barrell. Cool but not worth it imo. These are my opinions and not that of the USMC.
