"First off let me say this, make sure you use .32s or heavier! When I first got this gun I was saving my .32s for games so I was testing it with .20s, bad idea. You will get no accuracy using .20s. With that aside, this gun is great! It's reliable, efficient, and shoots straight when using the correct weight of BBs. I use it as an infantry rifle and I do great with it! The adjustable sights basically do the job of a hop-up. 5/5 recommended.

"5/5 Design Quality
5/5 Reliability
3/5 Accuracy
5/5 Ease To Use
4/5 Cost

Very nice gun - my first sniper. Fixed hopup gives accuracy issues, but the real Mosin-Nagant was not that great either. Out of the box, it is very reliable and sturdy. The cost is very affordable, compared to other Mosin-Nagant variants from other websites, which may cost around $400 if you get a PU scoped version imported from Europe or China. This one is more reliable than the similarly-priced King Arms green gas- powered version, which is known to have many reliability issues.

Compared to other snipers, it is not as reliable as spring snipers, being a CO2 gas-powered gun, but it fires at a higher FPS, which is desirable in field scenarios. Compared to the G&G G980, which costs $450, the WinGun Mosin-Nagant is much less accurate, but has much better reliability.

It is also quite loud. Not as loud as the KWC M712 Broomhandle, but louder than my Classic Army RPK and my G&G G980.

For those interested in attaching a scope/GoPro to your Mosin Nagant, here is my video:

"Fantastic rifle and replica! The whole gun is heavy and almost totally solid. The faux wood is actually surprisingly realistic in both look and texture. The metal parts are beefy and feel very solid and durable. When mine came, the bolt had a fair amount of grease (not too excessive, but notable) and the bolt cycled extremely smoothly! The bayonet looks great and locks solidly into place when deployed.

Because it shoots so hot and has a fixed hop-up, it might not be ideal for skirmishing or could be rejected on some airsoft fields. The rear part of the bolt is somewhat loose after you pull the trigger (will not fall off, just slightly loose). Pulling the safety too hard sometimes turns the bolt unintentionally since the bolt seems (a little too) easy to turn. I don't find these minor flaws deal breaking at all, at least not for me. The smooth trigger pull is neither light nor too heavy, but, unlike real firearms I've shot, there isn't a clean trigger break (if you're seriously into real rifle shooting).

If you want a great "collectors piece" or want to do some plinking, this Mosin-Nagant is a winner. The build quality and finish is superb/outstanding/phenomenal. Cycling and shooting the gun is smooth and enjoyable. The flaws I mentioned above only matter to the very nitpicky. It looks, feels, and functions fantastically and I think it's totally worth the money if you can afford one. Kudos, WG!

"This is probably the best of the airsoft military bolt action reproduction rifles on the market. It looks and handles just like the real thing, and I own one. The metal parts are strong , and made of steel where they need to be. The plastic wood stock looks quite realistic . The CO2 action and magazine are simple in design, and look as though they'll hold up for a while. The hop up mechanism is fixed, but this gun shots straight and hard at 200 feet straight from the box. It definitely prefers heavier BB's , and does best with 0.40's ; I'm now looking for 0.42's.
The WinGun M44 blows away the KingArms/Red Fire Mosin m91/30 for less money, and I'm buying a second one for insurance or customizing ( new inner barrel, attempt at turning into longer model with King Arms parts etc....) .
My grandfather served in the Russian Army in WW I. I always wanted a Mosin lookalike I could shot at home without shaking up the neighborhood, and this gun just about does it !

"I bought this gun not knowing how it was going to perform, as the description states it has no hop up, and wingun can be a little iffy on their guns. I opened up the box to see a very detailed parts guide and exploded view of the gun, with labels for all of the parts. The gun had no shipping damage, but was packaged in low quality styrofoam, that was pretty annoying to clean off the gun. The first thing I did was extend the bayonet, which was a lot sturdier that I had imagined. The bolt and magazine well we're greased pretty well, and the gun had no dirt or anything but some styrofoam on it. The bolt works very well, and is probably the most realistic airsoft bolt I have ever seen. When I took the gun apart, I saw that there actually is a hop up, but fixed. It actually works perfectly with .32 and .28 bbs. The inner barrel only goes about 3/4 of the way through the outer barrel, so I got a new 509 mm inner barrel, which fits perfectly, except for the fact that you have to grind down the hop up chamber on the inner barrel so it's compatible with the installed hop up. The wood is fake, but is very high quality fake wood, that I could not see breaking. It has a support in the back of the stock so that it won't break, which can be pulled out for space in the stock.

Pros:
Look
Bayonet
Fake wood is high quality
Super realistic bolt
Co2 powered
Accuracy with.32s
It's a mosin-nagant
Working safety
Bolt comes out for cleaning just like the real one
Easy magazine installation
Sturdy
Only 2 moving parts
Weight
Looks pretty damn cool

Cons:
Fixed Hopup (not that bad)
Mags are expensive
Mags only hold 12 rounds
Incompatibility with any aftermarket parts

This is a great gun, can be improved slightly by adding a longer 6.01 inner barrel, and maybe a real wood stock. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a dmr/sniper hybrid, ww2 reenactor, or fans of the m44 carbine, mosin nagant, or the soviet union.

"One of the best replica WWII airsoft guns I've seen from a historical accuracy standpoint. I used to own the real steel deal and this replica is first rate (moreover it won't break your shoulder). The wood as the previous reviewer noted is really nice. The real ones used a variety of wood, including laminates. The steel bayonet is so accurate it could pass for a pristine surplus blade. The bolt cycles and safety function are just like the original.
The only drawback from a collector's standpoint (and it's a minor one) is the lack of any original markings on the receiver. I know such stampings would add to the cost, but I'd have been willing to pay. At this cost I consider the gun well worth the price just as a collector's piece. I can't speak to its performance as an airsoft gun, so I look forward to reading what other reviewers have to say.

"Very Sturdy Rifle

Pros:
Well put together
Bayonet
Loading system is nice
CO2 efficient
Included sling is high quality

cons:
Bayonet is steel (could be pro?)
imitation wood (however, real stocks are cheap and it is really nice imitation wood - doesn't feel like plastic.)
12 round magazine
no aftermarket mags / spares (yet)

Overall, great gun. Would recommend for a fun plinking or WWII reenactor.

"This rifle is a very good weapon. It is not the most solidly constructed, with the barrel bands having some movement, the red string popping out of the bottom of the magazine and the bolt having MINIMAL play when locked. HOWEVER, every moving part works perfectly. I have fired thousands of rounds through it without too many malfunctions. It has an impressive though expected range and accuracy, I recommend using .30 gram bbs at the least! It goes up to 200 feet accurately, and up to at least 250 or 300 feet dependent on bb curve. Naturally, i only had .30s so if I tweaked the hop-up and bb weight, I might even see 275 feet of accuracy. I also use propane, which is also a big factor. I recommend this to any WWII enthusiast or anyone who wants a good point-shooting rifle.
Pros:
No seams in the 'false" wood
Lightweight
Range
Accuracy
Cons
2 charges per load of Propane
Removing the orange tip for the bayonet (you can paint the tip orange if you need to)
by John G. on 12/13/2013
"Pros:
-Real wood
-Accurate
-Light
-Good durable build- as long as you load it correctly
-The built in loading system is far easier to load than those typical of a gas powered rifle.
-Damn fun

Cons:
-Easy to F* it up by not loading it correctly
-Eats through Green Gas
-needed a little work out-of-the-box, But nothing that couldn't be done from home.

I love this rifle and recommend it with 4.7 stars.

"I shot this gun at their store an I am actually really impressed with it. From a distance the plastic body looks real. its light for how long it is. I'm getting tired of heavy guns so that was a plus for me. It has a lot of power for a mosin nagant. Other models look the part but are nothing in power compared to this one. Its very accurate, powerful, and practical gun. fyi the bolt is a half cycle! Meaning you can cycle the bolt quickly and get another shot down range. over all I'm impressed with it. Not great for realism but hey... this is airsoft. Nice to not have any mags or stripper clips. The internal mag is almost goof proof and its effective an no misfeeds. Overall its a fun gun to shoot! wish they had the sniper version with the curved over bolt and scope. :) You can squeeze out about 20-30 shots per green gas charge. But this is just a good. If you like Soviet weapons or just want a good gas rifle thats tons of fun and unique get this!

Pros:
Light for its length
Accurate
Great FPS
Half cycle bolt for fast reloads
Five stars for gas efficiency for how much the internal mag holds.
Fun to shoot
Cool trademarks
Get it!

Cons:
Can't put a scope on it
plastic body (its actually a good quality plastic but its a con because the real one is wood.)

BL:
Get it and you won't regret it comrade!

"Very solid gun; well built.

The markings on the receiver were a nice touch, although I would've preferred a working bolt lock.

The rings securing the front half of the gun together may be a bit loose, depending on the exact gun, but overall they're pretty stable.

The bayonet that comes in the box is made of plastic and breaks fairly easily, so if you're a reenactor or want historical accuracy, I'd recommend getting a real one; don't worry, it'll fit and stay.

It may be a bit heavy and bulky to handle at first, but it really grows on you :)

"Great looking gun. Looks pretty much exactly as the actual Mosin Nagant. And is priced accordingly to the actual gun. Maybe even more. Great gun.
by Thomas K. on 07/30/2013
"This is a great gun. Shoots hard, accurate, reliable. The only problem is that it is a gas guzzler, it is cumbersome to reaload at first, and the bayonet won't fit over the orange pice of plastic at the front.
