WE-Tech Hi-Capa T-Rex Competition Pistol (Model: 5.1 / Black)

"This pistol is great but it needs a few upgrades to be truly competition ready. For starters, a fixed outer barrel and a 6.01mm tightbore inner barrel. If you buy an outer barrel with steel screws, upgrade the entire hop-up unit as well because the screws will cut into and gouge the aluminum hop-up unit the gun comes with. Other than that this gun is great. It sounds great and it's loud as well. The recoil is perfect but if you want a blowback upgrade then by all means go ahead.

"I have had this gun for about a year and a half now and have put around 50000 shots through it and it still runs like a charm and is really accurate. I have had some minor problems with it but like all airsoft guns after thousands of rounds you are bound to have some issues because things just wear out. I think that this gun is a great gun for those of you who are just getting started and even for those who want a new pistol. I think that is a all around good gun and I am very glad I got this gun.

"I played with this pistol today and it amazed me. buy an extra magazine and this thing is amazing. it really dosent waste gas and the part that i like most about is that it doesent kick back to hard that it throws ur aim off. if i could i would rate tis 100 staars. parents you might say we'll get this later but you NEED it NOW. this is gonna sell out soon and trust me this is probably one of the best pistols you can get on this site. this is a 1911 and will fit in almost all pistol holsters. get this gun and you wont be bummed unless it comes out of box not working but i HIGHLY doubt that will happen so PLEASE get this gun.

"I love it. The pistol is a bit heavier than you would think, the recoil and the sound is a bit more than expected, but it's amazing. The silver is darker than the pictures, and stainless steal. Makes your ears have a satisfying ring.

"This gun has served me well for four years, never needing a fix or upgrades to perform at peak performance, i suggest buying the co2 mags for optimal functionality. 10/10 shoots flat, or hopped, heavy weight, nice kick, loud gun.

"Purchased this here at Evike in March 2016. Gun worked Great right of the box. I ordered 2 more mags , I was having so much fun. I did increase the surface area of the hopup arm. Similar to flat hop. I was able to get a 4" grouping firing from one hand at 50ish feet. good enough for human targets. Never miss a soda can.
The mags all developed leaks. Don't rely on green gas to keep things lubed.

Leaking mags: they will leak..
lube fill valve ( press output valve so oil can go in fill valve when pressed)
lube output valve ( pressed in )
remove base of mag (holds in BB spring )and lube the oring.
I have done this and it works. I didn't have to buy new fill valves like every one was telling me.

This Hi-capa is Awesome and loud.

"First gas blow back pistol I ever bout, had it for four years still shoots great. Never had a problem with it, cleaning is real easy. And an extra mag would be a good idea. Best not to use biodegradable bbs they brake apart in the gun.

"Great pistol so far. Its not too heavy, it feels and performs great. The Fps is a bit too high for indoor, mine measured 380ish with .20g bbs. But i just swapped out the inner barrel for a 5.1 113mm Hi-Capa one and it shot at the usual 330 fps. Its "short stroked" with the slide release still operable, a bit more and u give that up but the cycle rate is better than a stock 5.1 Hi-Capa. If u bought this when it was on sale for the airsoft con like i did, u got a helluva bargain.

"Update to my review: the ambi safety pin fell out so now I only have the safety for right-handed users. Other than that the pistol shoots fine so just a note for left-handed people beware when you purchase this gun.

"I bought this pistol roughly 7/14 and received on 7/18. Simply put, this pistol is great. Also, I use propane when shooting this gun because who doesn't love the smell of propane. I just have one major question for this gun, the nozzle seems to be cut off a bit but still manages to shoot straight unlike a nozzle that is fully round. Whatever though.

Pros:
Easy to disassemble and clean(Tons of YouTube videos on it)
Very powerful shots
Very smooth blowback action
Grip is very nicely done(The front of the trigger guard also has some stippling)

Pro/Con:
Heavy-Pro for me
Large-Con for me ( I wear size large gloves so that should give you some context)

Cons:
Feels wobbly(No biggie though)
You can't really tell when the magazine is full of gas so I would say wait for 8-9 seconds to get a full mag's worth of gas in there(When the mag has no gas in it count for 8-9 seconds)
WE included a black tip with 14mm threads on it so once you got the orange tip off you could mount the new flash hider.

"Easily one the best guns I own. Compared to my KWA M9 this 1911 is no slouch.
It's attractive, hard-kicking, and reliable even though it's only $95. Now let's get to the pros and cons.

+ Easy on the eyes yet intimidating.
+ Magwell makes reloading lightning fast
+ Has a hard kick and is LOUD
+ Price and aftermarket upgrades.
+ Shoots 320 with .25's. Rather powerful
+ Well balanced and smooth cycling

- Grip is plastic. Kinda cheap feeling.
- Safety became loose. Flew out during a game.
- Very slight imperfectons in the finish. Still a beautiful gun though.

5/5 an excellent sidearm with good performance and better looks.
