FN Herstal Licensed Full Metal SCAR-L Airsoft AEG Rifle by Cybergun (Color: Tan)

"So i’ve had this gun for a little over 6 months, bought it used from someone who bought it from my home field. When I tell you i love this gun, I mean it. My experience with this gun just proves that no one needs an expensive ssg or hpa rig, because I can’t put gun anyone of those any time I play. This gun has never failed me and I’ve really abused this gun. It’s been through drops, bumps, mud, water, rain, and countless other elements and has yet to fail. I can get shots off from 150+, of course it takes a few shots but it works. The externals are pretty much everything you could ask for, nothing special but they are just solid, no wobble no extra noise no fuss. Honestly there’s is nothing i dislike about this gun, and for the price, I just don’t think it can be beat.

"Installed an ASG 40K Motor, VFC AVALON Calibur OEM Bucking (only spare I had at the time), stock nub, Prometheus 363mm 6.03 Tight-bore, and a 7.4v 1450mAh Echo 1 Lipo. This gun shreds and shoots out to 200+ft with ease. Trigger response improved quite a bit and so did rate of fire. My guess the gun shoots around 11rps out of the box, the motor and battery put it near 14 rps my guess. Would love to tackle the gearbox to complete the build, but i will just use until it breaks.

TECH TIP:
Take down to the hopup is not hard, but not easy like an M4. You first pop out the front pin of the lower receiver, and then take out 3 screws (the two allen screws that are closest to the stock on the right and left side of the gun, and then then one allen screw on top of the picitiny rail mount). Finally, the last step is to fold the stock and unscrew the center allen key to separate the upper from the lower. I actually never worked on any airsoft gun ever. I chose to tackle this first instead of my vfc avalon for obvious reasons. But I don't think its difficult at all, its just a bit tedious without a doubt.

Externally:
Solid. Not stamped steel, but absolutely no wobble anywhere. Good weight to it, and after adding a flash light, scope, tracer, grip, etc, it really comes to life and feels great, especially for CQB.

"Really like this gun, the externals feel very solid the performance good for its price and feels very well balanced Weight wise for me comparing it to my the dboy Scar-L I had. Some cons I have is the trigger in semi is a little stiff compared to full auto. The gun at first was some trouble to figure out how to take it apart and get to the inner barrel to change. A lot of grease on the hop up and bucking internally not to big of a deal for me.

"This gun is amazing! I received it a few days ago and have been shooting it like crazy. Overall if you want a scar this is a great choice.

Pros
- fps is great
- rpm definitely exceeded expectation
- feels very solid
- charging handle feels like it won't break and sounds great
- very accurate I was surprised by how accurate it shot, even in full auto
- actually has some recoil when in full auto even though it's an AEG
- very obvious when it is out of ammo the sound difference is NOT subtle
- sound great and loud
- comes with 2 hi caps an 8.4v battery, and a charger
- just as good as the expensive scars like vfc and g&g
- amazing rail space
- looks 10x better than the pictures the colors look great together
- looks exactly like the real fn scar (just look up fn's website)
- around the same weight as the real scar (so kinda heavy) pro or con for some
(also this is a real person. some of the comments say the reviews are fake but they are not)

Cons
- the orange tip is very hard to get off ( I just covered it)
- the battery wire cover which you can see in the picture sometimes comes loose and goes into the stock (very picky) just pull it back out

"Update on my last review, I just got the SCAR-L in mail today, I was really surprised on how small the package came in (thought it would be a whole lot bigger) but that's no issue. What I was really surprised about is, not only it came with the gun, it also came with TWO STANDARD HI-CAP M4 MAGS, A 8.4v BATTERY, & AN UNIVERSAL CHARGER. NONE OF THAT was listed in the description! So, I was SUPER EXCITED that those items were included in the package!

Again, I recommend the FN SCAR-L to anyone that are starting Airsoft! It comes with everything you need to start, its cheap (as in good), its affordable, its sturdy, it feels great, shoots great, & overall its just a great gun to have, also, $209 is a steal!

"Read most of the reviews of this gun, & I gotta say I'm kinda impressed with other customer's expressions on this gun. My friend had this as his first airsoft gun, & it lasted him almost 4 years till little parts of the gun started wearing down. It's been through dirt, water, mud, & even dropped plenty of times & yet the gun was able to work & shoot just fine. He said it was one of the BEST guns he ever owned, but now the gun is torn apart in the P.O.D. aka the PIT OF DEATH (as of now he has 40+ guns to mess with) before the SCAR-L comes back in action on the field. As the gun is resting in pieces, his Dad carried the tradition of the SCAR-L & is now currently using one on the field. From there, I absolutely just fell in love with the looks, the feel, the way it shoots, how lightly heavy it is, overall it felt like HEAVEN on my hands. So I ordered one! Thanks to Evike's Free3day Coupon code, I'll be receiving it in before the day I play on the field. Woo! I highly recommend this gun to anyone looking for something cheap priced, sturdy, & reliable. "Best gun I have ever owned. Very sturdy build, very good fps and rof. The only problem I've had with it is the hop up sucks, but a very easy fix.

"actually i bought the 180 black version of this gun and the only complaint i have is the slow rate of fire and the flash hider is easily stripped and now its wobbly but thats it. mine came with gun, battery, charger, cheap plastic grip, and a full metal custom extended mag.

"I bought this gun about a month and a half ago. I have used it for 3 games. This gun is OP, for $120 this is the best gun in my arsenal yet. The gun is very sterdy and well made. The only issue I have with it is it only shoots on full auto. This isn't bad though because with a good trigger finger you can make it shoot semi pretty fast. I did put the barrel extension on it and a 363 mm 3.05 inner barrel in it. I can shoot 50-75 yards with it. I use .25s or .28 gram bbs depending on wind and vegetation. I do recommend getting a smart charger and a new battery though.
