G&P M249 SAW Airsoft AEG Rifle (Model: Ver2 / Marine / Add Battery + Charger)

"Just received the gun and I did plan to upgrade it so I put it under a little stress test. I went through 4 hours of use with the gun shooting about 8,000 bbs, it functioned perfectly fine and fed every single shot up until its last moments when the gearbox locked up.

Pros -
Very good build quality
Fake bullets it comes with look nice
easily accessible hop-up which works decent (250 feet using.25 for me)
Auto winding
Box Magazine fed every single shot

Cons -
Internals are terrible.
Bipod can pop out of place a lot, requires little work.
The plate on the box magazine can easily fall off when running so tape it.
Comes wired in large type Tamiya, would recommend getting it rewired to Deans like how it connects to the main gun.

If you want to get this gun so you can upgrade it then go for it, the externals are very nice but the internals are terrible stock.

"first things first, 4 stars because the externals on this thing are amazing and weighing in at around 16 pounds unloaded. i would highly recommend that you change out the stock gearbox in it because i barely shot 300 rounds before something in the gearbox stripped but i replaced it with a polar star jack. It also came with a flash hider out of the box. i dont see the bipod easily braking like the weaker A&Ks.

"Durable, reliable, and fun!!! Although heavy you get that BAMF feeling running around the feild and look the part as well!! Box mag easy to load, and winds great with just a little bit of sound.. rate of fire is on point in my opinion not too much but just right.. my only complaint is i lost my dummy rounds at an op: because i couldn't get them to stay in place very well but everything else about this airsoft beast is great!!!! Wont need extra box mag 3000 rounds gets you through most of the day and you can dump more in as needed without removing it.. 9.6 battery worked just fine no need to push it more than that. Worth the price for sure!!

"It ate a BB after only 500 rounds and either striped the piston or knocked the gears out of alignment enough to completely stop operation. For a $450 gun I expected more, however the exterior is very high quality. The gun with with a tech right now and the gearbox issues should be fixable.

"Well, the gun chronographs around 375 with a .25 which is all well and good. But the magazine has some big feeding issues. I'm having it worked on right now to deternine if it is the magazine, or the hopup causing the problem. The only other issue I have is that the bipod legs do not lock into their assigned length adjustment slots very well, if at all. In game this causes the legs to constantly slide into different length slots, and makes the gun unusable until you manually fix it. I will update the review as soon as I spend nore time with the gun.

"I have bought this gun 2 times and both times it broke within 400 shots after I fixed the broken parts it would never feed no matter how many times I took it apart to unjam. I would strongly recommend another company's and upgrade it.
