"Allow me to start by saying I am fairly new to airsoft. Ive only had back yard play with cheap spring loaded pistols or Walmart brand aegs as a kid, not fully aware that it was a sport akin to paintball. Since my buddies introduced me to their aegs a month ago I've become enthralled. L've been reviewing countless airsoft sites, YouTube videos, and reviews not only learning the terms, brands, pricing, and qualities that comes with airsoft guns but also searching for my very first. I'm really Glad I purchased the Matrix Goliath Sportsline m4. Anyone that says this gun feels cheap is insane. Mostly polymer with only the gear box, barrel, and trigger being metal, this rifle still has plenty of weight and is very sturdy for its price range. The front and rear sights do feel cheaply made but can be removed. The trigger guard has a springloaded point that is suppose to fit into a slot and lock the trigger guard in place, However, the slot on my rifle was not cut out wide enough and the trigger guard popped open while I was holding it causing it to land on the rear sights and breaking the circle end off (was going to remove anyways and use red dot). I took a small drill bit and reamed the hole out bigger so the trigger guard snaps in place. The rifle didn't let up though, it still fires with great precision and speed. I have yet to crono it but it has an awesome fps and rof in comparison to my buddies higher end aegs. They agree it's a great rifle for its price. Another great aspect about this weapon is the ability to upgrade. As a new airsofter being able to upgrade your weapon with minor purchases is going to help your wallet in the long run and give you plenty of experience before buying a $300+ plinker. I went ahead and purchased a m125 spring although the motor could easily handle a 130 spring it's just a bit much for our cqb play. The gearbox is LIPO READY meaning YES you can slap a lipo battery in this thing and plink with pew power like never before! I could go on and on about this rifle but the greatest thing about it is of course, that $95 price tag! I personally was not wanting to invest $250+ on a higher end full metal gun not knowing if I was going to stay with it or not, nor was I going to waste money on the cheap BBtac rifles on amazon. This is an excellent price for what your getting imo, even with the cheap sights. I will be purchasing more airsoft guns in the near future and this will eventually become my backup. If your new to airsoft and want good quality without shedding too much money, this is the one.

"I liked this gun a lot, but when I got it the magazine didn't feed properly.
However, I contacted Evike and they were great about it and sent me
a free replacement magazine!
Metal parts: Barrel, gearbox, and trigger.
Battery: Bought a small tamiya connecter 9.6v and it
worked great.
Pros:
Good ROF, shoots fast and consistently
Good FPS, Blasts thru 3 layers of cardboard like it's butter
Hop up works well
Working bolt and shell door
Durable
Sights are on point
Overall, Love this gun!

"This replica is awesome for the price of less than $100. Full polymer construction, internally metal gearbox. Is seems very well made. I made a unboxing on YouTube about this rifle. The tittle runs by the rifle name.
360 avarage fps.
Accuracy 8/10
It seems Lipo ready but for longer life is safer with a 9.4v
Only 4.5lbs extremely light
Good starter gun

"I got this rifle from my local shop (BG Airsoft) before it hit Evike.
I was very surprised with this rifle, being Chinese and 100 bucks and all. I'll start with the cons: The biggest reason this thing is so cheap is the externals. Most of the externals seem like somewhat durable polymer, but some components are cheap plastic. I'm a very cautious guy, so after my first 6 or 7 games with it I haven't broken anything.
The pros: The internals are very nice, comes with a tight bore (6.03mm) barrel, Ver. 2 gearbox that is super upgradeable, threaded barrel for attachments (though you'll have to get the orange tip off first), has a nice sound, and the rails are surprisingly nice. Also after my first 6 or 7 games, I could keep up with the Polar Star guys pretty well (we have a semi-only field, thank God. This thing does shoot around 12-15 rps on full with a nickel bat).
This rifle makes a good CQC, starter, backup, project, whatever kind of rifle. Just don't drop it.

"Okay so I guess I'm going to be the first to take a chance and see if this M4 is worth the money if you're wondering the answer is an emphatic yes! Okay where to start first the build quality of this good is exemplary it feels strong in the hands and does not give any sense of it breaking any time soon gearbox is sturdy and Trigger response is on point I haven't got a chance to Chrono this gun just yet but judging by the ring of fire it should be around 350 to 360 range..
Pros
Sturdy construction
Well optimized for CQB/field
Extremely easy to modify internal and external
Milsim tested and approved

"It’s a good starter gun, I’ve been using it for a few months now and I really enjoy this gun, it’s made of good polymer but there’s one thing I hated about it. The butt stock, the back cover where you put the battery in, the clips are very very stiff, you’ll have to buy a new stock for this gun if you can’t get the cover off.

"The Matrix Goliath CQB M4 AEG is a very good gun for beginners or for at the house shooting at targets with your friends and family it is pretty good for the price and holds up pretty good.

"This rifle is mostly polymer and plastic. The metal parts include the trigger... yeah that's it. It does cut down on the weight though (between 4 and 5 lbs). It's CQB length, making it ideal for clearing buildings, however it can also be a field gun (roughly 350 fps with .20s). What I like most about this gun is the price. $99 will usually buy you some cheap abs plastic gearbox gun.
Pros:
6.03 tight-bore inner barrel (it isn't like lonex so calm down)
SHS upgrade gears
Version 2 standard/upgradeable gearbox with quick spring change
Price $99 bucks?!
Cons
Poor rate of fire
No fuse box
Cheap hop-up unit
Cheap externals (bolt handle, selector switch, mag release etc.)
Made in China
This is a good gun for beginners or seasoned pros. In my opinion, this is a better starter than the combat machine or lancer tactical base model. Also when you become adept, everything on this gun is upgradeable--nothing proprietary here. With the money you save, you can buy a battery, smart charger, and a few extra mags.

"I've only used his gun on a field once. The gun itself is really good. The magazine broke on my first game though.

"Comfy to hold, crisp trigger response, easy fits a 9.6 butterfly battery BUT it won't feed the high cap mag it came with or a battery winding drum mag but will feed mid caps no problem
