"I ordered this part for my CYMA AK105. Specifically the CM040B.
This part fits on it perfectly, no modification necessary.
All you have to do is remove the flash hider, front sight post (knocking out the pin), top and lower handguard, and slide the lower handguard locking plate off with the rest.
Next you slide this part into the notch the lower handguard fits into and use the included barrel clamps that fit into the notches in the part and screw them in with the included screws to tighten it all down. No wobble!
I hope this written tutorial helps anyone whos considering getting this product.

"This does not fit the ak74u. This will fit a regular ak if you remove the back sight post.

"I ordered this one week ago along with a CYMA ak74u. Let me say that it will not fit on the ak74u. The front tap is too long . BUT, I have a CYMA model cmo40b, the ak105 and can say that this dust cover fits on the 105 just great.

"Does not fit Cyma sport AK74M CM.031.
HOWEVERA, it CAN be used for it. What I did is take out the screw holding in the rail, and drill holes in the gun's included dustcover for the screws.
The sight sits slightly higher than it is designed to, but if you want iron sights you should not get this.
Overall I like, but slightly challenging and annoying to attach.

"I bought this for my E&L AKM and had to make some modifications to fit where the rear iron sight mounts. It requires some filing because the space is too wide(on the dust cover) to fit on the gun. It is no fault to CYMA, but I do wish there were better specs listed in the description.

"I do not write reviews normally but this might concern ghk ak owners out there.
I bought two of these, one for my lct ak105 and one for my ghk ak74m.
The hinge/roll pin that goes where the rear sight used to go is too large for both my aks, and the front portion of the dust cover takes extremely extensive filing/work with rotary tool to fit onto ghk/lct rear sight block.
the first one broke during modification process, but the second one is living a new life on my ghk ak74m.
It can be done, but is it worth it?
Buy yourself an lct dust cover and save yourself a couple days of struggle.
I will leave an comment in the comments section.
Find me if you decide to get this for your lct/ghk so I can dissuade you.

"Build quality is a solid 10
HOWEVER.....I tried putting it on a Echo1 Red Star RPK it fits.....but barley. Not enough to get the sight into the slot to thread the bolt in.
So I'd say if you have an actual cyma go for it.

"My old rear-sight was held in by bumps on the actual sight, so when I removed it and put the new dust cover on it wasn't pinned into place by anything, only being held in by the standard disassembly button on the back of the dust cover. While it stays attached to the gun, it bounces up and down about half an inch when the gun gets forced downwards or upside down. Whether my AK was missing it or the item, I'm not sure, just make sure to have a ziptie handy to latch it in.

So I made it work. I removed the rail from the actual product and drilled my gun's original dust cover to fit. The part that is meant to attach to the iron sights does not line up on my gun but it fits enough to keep the piece steady. The only reason I had to do any of this was because this new dust cover did not reach the catch under the iron sights. It was cut back for some reason.
While I have tools and was comfortable doing this I just want to give everybody a fair warning.

"This is a great rail. I used it on my cyma and it was perfect.
DO NOT BUY THIS IF YOU ARE GETTING IT FOR AN E&L. That is the only reason why it's getting a 4 star. It will not fit no matter how you mod it. The screw that is used to keep it in place will not fit through the rear iron sight holes.

"PLEASE READ IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING THIS FOR E&L BRAND AK
I recently bought this for my E&L AKS-74M in order to be the guinea pig in seeing if it fit an E&L. It DOES NOT fit E&L. There is simply no compatibility between the two. However, after tons of modification (filling, grinding with a dremel, and even using a completely different threaded bolt) it was able to fit. It is currently on my gun but there is no way I'm ever doing that again.
After a ridiculous amount of modifying, it is NOT worth it to buy this for an E&L.
The rail and dustcover themselves are very good quality for the price. The rail is aluminum, and the dust cover is steel. (Mentioned by Dan G. in his review.)
I would absolutely buy it again if I were getting it for a Cyma. (Perhaps LCT as well, I don't know if it would fit an LCT, but after extensive research, it seems Cyma and LCT are pretty interchangeable due to very similar dimensions. E&L are longer than the latter brands.)
In conclusion, this piece sucks for E&L. Only buy for Cyma - or LCT if you want to be like me and be the guinea pig to see if it fits an LCT.

"FUTURE BUYERS BEWARE, this rail won't fit all AK/AK74's, specifically the CM047C, and the CYMA Dynamic Tactical style AK in my case.
For the CM047C the rear sight block is too wide for the rail to fit (yes with the rear sight removed), so I ended up disassembling the rail from the dust cover, and drilled holes into the stock dust cover to line up with the screw holes on the rail, and it works pretty good.
As for the CYMA DyTac AK105, the mount will fit the rear sight blobk, but the ambi charging handle interferes with the dust cover on the left side, so if you want to mount the rail you will have to cut about 1/8" on the left side to accommodate for the charging handle.
So all in all, sturdy construction, sorta pricy for what you're getting, DIY'ing may be required
