"I have the carbine length version. I bought this having been told it was great out of the box, but after a few discoveries I've been a little disappointed, but not terribly because it runs great. Firstly, the upper rec on my model is actually polymer despite the description. I think it's only the shorter models that are full metal. Second, I had bought a Daniel defense handguard to put on this which gave me a lot of trouble. I couldn't get the barrel to sit right inside it no matter what. I eventually discovered that this is because the barrel on these rifles droops right from the factory. The handguard on the stock rifle even bridges a little bit where it meets the receiver so that the barrel stays centered. This is very noticeable with the DD rail, but only slightly with the standard handguard so I can't recommend changing it. Third, the battery compartment is a little cramped. Collapsing the stock has crimped my wires to where it sliced the sheathing. With the included programmable mosfet and a battery (mines a nunchuck), I have no idea how to cram all that in there without damaging the wires. Overall, it performs nicely but has some irritating things that end up limiting external upgrades or make the longer variants not as worth it even aesthetically.

"Excellent rifle but I had some issues with it. Battery storage is a little cramped to where the sheathing was cut on one wire from crimping in the stock. Manual that came with it was for the wrong model and showed a different hopup unit leading to some confusion, especially for someone not entirely familiar with hopup. For anyone with the same issue, scroll the wheel DOWN to increase hopup and UP to increase it. Hicap mag that came with its isn't very good either but I use midcaps anyway.. Otherwise, the gun looks great, feels weighty with the metal construction but not too much, and shoots straight and far with the hopup actually adjusted properly lol.

"I am impressed with the overall craftsmanship of this rifle. the mosfet was left out of mine by accident but both the phone and email staff were awesome and worked hard to get me one asap. I will be fielding it soon and will update.

"It is a very nice gun my only complaints would be only after about 3 games of use the fire selector is loose it is very long for such a low fps but whatever. I went and put it in a vice to zero it and it has bad and i mean bad fliers at 10 yards o had a tight group but the weird shots were 10 inches any direction and i was using .25s

"Very good gun, sturdy construction and feeds well. The only issue is that the trigger response is a bit lacking. Solid performance otherwise, good platform for upgrades

"Great gun for the price. My biggest issue is that the description said 300mm on the site but I went to buy a new inner barrel, to tighten my grouping, that when I found out the stock barrel is not 300mm but roughly 280-290mm! This upsets me. Especially when the description says one thing and the quality product that you purchased is not what was described that causes trust issues. This is a good gun but that right there can turn future patrons away from the company. If they made a mistake I inderstand but if I buy blue paint it better be blue. I hope this is a typo and it needs to be fixed. For the price you can beat it....

Pros:
All metal
MOSFET
Trigger switch
Steel barrel
Comes with flip up sights
Looks great

Cons:
Needs to be upgraded when possible
Selector switch needs to be smoother and crisp
Mag well does not fit all mags

"Excellent starter replica
I purchased this based on it's price and features. I ended up doing a full breakdown of the gearbox and found that it was made by AIM. The microswitch is the same kind found in ZCI and Valken gearboxes of the same configuration. The MOSFET is a Burst Wizard 4 inline unit.

Pros:
Full metal rack piston with great factory AoE
Full metal furniture where it should be and well fitted stock.
Can operate out of the box with an 11.1v
Price
Magwell fits large mags like the G&P high rps
Doesnt have a cheap feel to it, very well balanced

Cons:
Poor quality barrel with no crown, 6in grouping at 100ft.
Horrible air nozzle that is too short. No o ring. Swap with a 21.5mm
Bucking with long lips to compensate for short nozzle. Swap with a G&G green if you change nozzle
Really bad motor

Good package with room to upgrade

"gun is great for a budget but not very upgradable because of its electronic trigger

"TLDR:
Good value for all the included features. If it breaks, you're pretty much out of luck.

This thing shot better groupings than my KWA Ronin, stock. Something went wrong in the gearbox and I had to sell the thing for parts because pieces in the gearbox didn't jive with replacement parts and my local tech couldn't find where they could get compatible replacements. I've heard similar things from other AA owners and was disappointed. I had high hopes.

"Terrible quality, mock gas block and tube completely separated and slides freely on the barrel. Motor grip started getting burning hot on its 3rd use, and after 30 shots were fired the gearbox seized up as the motor just hummed. After letting it cool down, the gun does nothing at all when the trigger is pulled. This is the 2nd gun I've purchased from evike (or purchased in my life period) that has completely turned to junk. Not good to be 0 for 2 honestly. Hopefully the RMA is honored towards the purchase of a new AEG, and it's just going to have to be a Krytac.
