"Overview: This gun is an excellent weapon stock. Chronos about 430 w/ 0.20s, extremely well built and tough. I put my weapons through hell, so anyone who says it breaks from a fall off the couch must have a huge couch because I've literally thrown the thing, broken windows with it, etc and it's just scratched up. I have since upgraded the weapon, which has surprisingly good stock internals, with a tightbore inner barrel, high torque motor, gearbox, 11.1 2500 mAh Li-po battery, and MOSFET.

PROS:
-Excellent fps and range stock
-Superb build quality: no fracturing, broken parts, or cracks
-Excellent balance

CONS:
-Mag well can be a bit loose, so I suggest bending side in slightly to mitigate mag wobble
-Pistol grip can be too large around, and to some, short. It also lacks definition, so I use grip tape for better traction in gloved hands.

Final Word: Even with a MOSFET and 11.1 lipo, due to the nature of Russian bullpup rifles, the trigger response is slower than would be preferred. In addition, I despise normal rifle foregrips, and much prefer vertical grips. If you're of similar mind, I highly suggest you drill a hole through a 1.5" wooden dowel, then saw approximately a centimeter in on either side so that the top is rectangular. Remove the bipod and insert the dowel into the bipod mount and feed the bipod's tube through the dowel, forming a fairly solid pistol grip that can then be secured further with zip ties and tape. I have done this on mine, and it's extremely effective and comfortable. -MW "Gunslinger"

"JG is such an under-rated brand! I have loved every JG rifle I have ever gotten, and this one is no exception.

Get this rifle if you:
1. Like good guns
2. Like cool looking guns
3. Like Sniping and Assaulting

Some super cool things: bull-pup design is awesome, get a scope, add a new barrel if you really need to.

"A good rifle for a good price.

Pros:
- lightweight construction
- Full auto capable
- excellent range (.28g BB's)

Cons:
- Would be better with mid-caps
- No Scope
- Bi-Pod is a bit odd.

Over all, I enjoy using this rifle and more people should use rifles like this strictly because they are not M4's. Plus, it still performs just as well, if not better.

"This rifle is great! Definitely a good buy for anyone who wants to not use an M4. I really like it's weight and balance. Feeds fine as well, thought I havent been able to find a mid-cap for it...I prefer mid-caps cause they don't rattle. Someone using this probably will be sniping and doesn't want to be heard.

- Make sure to get a scope!
- Bi-Pod works well
- High FPS

"If one is interested in performing a versatile Designated Marksman Role, this rifle is what they will need. While this rifle may appear difficult to hold, it was surprisingly comfortable in my hands. Please note that obtaining an optic with this rifle is a good idea. Lithium Polymer batteries, being smaller than other types, are best used with this, however, do not use anything other than a 7.4v. For optimal performance, use a heaver weighted BB. After this purchase, I will look into other JG products as well.

"This rifle is terrific! And I'm really happy that they note that it doesn't have a scope with it cause I really wanted that feature! It works great for me! Definitely grab spare mags and a scope with it for the full effect.

Like most guns like this, the battery compartment is small.

Feeds great! Shoots great! Looks great!

"Well built, Unique Rifle.

Performs great right out of the box and one cannot beat that feeling of having the coolest looking rifle on the field.

Easily used for both sniping and assault gameplay if needed, unlike normal SVD's which are too long for such things.

I love that spare mags are readily available; recommend .28g BB or heavier with this rifle.

"I love the SVD, and I think this is a very interesting take on a classic Russian rifle. What an awesome look. I haven't chronoed it yet or played with it at my field but I can tell you the hop up unit is pretty good and the gun itself has some range. For those wondering if 9.6v 1600mah stick type batteries fit: They DO fit but it is a VERY tight fit. I will say though I was disappointed when I realized the safety on the selector switch doesn't work. But it isn't that big of a deal. There is a safety button above the trigger that disables the trigger so I will be using that as my safety. If you don't like the look of the bi-pod it's a bit of a pain to get off. I will also say that this is NOT a "comfortable" gun to hold per se. It's not bad but it's definitely on the lower end of the scale of comfort.

But after it's all said and done, Very excited to use the gun at a game.

Pros:
- Short while retaining the 650mm barrel
- Full auto mode (for some, even though I plan to use semi)
- Surprisingly functional bi-pod with swivel
- Unique
- Not an M4

Cons:
- Not very comfortable (but tolerable)
- Bi-pod is hard to remove

"Extremely high quality rifle with better than Real Sword!!

Pro:
The Bullpup design makes the SVU one hand manipulate-able and a much more compact platform to physically move around in combat.
The integrated bipod makes it easy to snipe!
Much cheaper than the Real Sword SVD.

Con:
None, simply love it!

"Received my SVU today, here are my initial views:

Pro:
Overall appearance is good.
Build material is good mix of metal and plastic
Shoots ~450 FPS out of the box no hop, ~430 FPS with hop
Weight is good
Standard Russian side rail accepted my PSO-1 scope without issues

Con:
Rear iron side was not drilled through so is useless until I drill a hole into it
Bi-pod clip needed to be bent further to better secure the bi-pod when not in use
No useable instruction just a parts diagram

Over all I am impressed and can't wait to field this puppy. I will install a selector restrictor so it won't go full auto. A sniper rifle should not go full auto as it is. I'm also going to upgrade to a tight bore to get more consistent groups and up the FPS.

"Great rifle and functions beautifully. its a bit hard to fit the battery into it and a riser is needed to use any optic with this rifle. the full auto function is godly. I have found my self using this rifle more as an LMG (despite the limited mag size) than as a sniper.

"I received the gun with the air nozzle not attached. Was going to send it back but couldn't wait for the turn around time so took it apart and fixed it myself. Not the easiest to break down but a few videos online and it's not that bad. I'll answer some of the questions I had before buying:

Easy to disable full auto if needed
No upgrades shooting 350fps with .28s
Ak style side mount rail will work but leaves crosshairs slightly tilted
Cyma svd mags fit and feed well (not sure on others)
Have to be creative if you want a sling on it

Pretty much everything else has been covered repeatedly. I'd give it a 5 but just had bad luck with the first out of box experience.

"The gun is a monster in terms of performance. my only complaints are that when attempting to use a side rail, the rail on the side is slanted and your sights will be EXTREMELY offset. Your only choice is to honestly buy the PSO-1 scope or to use the irons unless you don't mind having a hideously offset optic. the other complaint is that the pistol grip is absolutely horrible. your hand is pressed hard against the magazine and the moment you start to sweat you lose all grip. i would highly recommend gloves or sanding the grip down to fit your specific hand.

"This SVU is a very good DMR I can definitely hit a human size target at 250ft with .32g BB's it is pretty well-balanced despite the backend being a little heavy now for pros and cons. Pros Decent range fairly quiet Compact. cons I only have one big con The metal on the Side of the gun for the scope mount broke not happy with the quality of metal but I am modifying it to just use a red dot site, that's why I'm giving it a 4 out of 5

"The rifle works amazingly, it's slightly back heavy as expected due to the bullpup configuration. It is very easy to disable the Full auto feature if you want to, however i have found it to be a bit of an annoyance to do maintenance on as you have to almost completely disassemble the rifle to take out it's gearbox.

Pros:
Amazing look.
Great feel in the hands
Integrated bipod
great platform for upgrades
Compact design

Cons:
Only one sling point up front
Muzzle brake may be glued on ( I was able to remove mine)
Small grip
Non functioning safety on selector switch
