"I picked up one of these last winter just to mess around with at home and I am overall pleased with it. It isn't anything special. It chrono'd around 360-370 with .20s out of the box but after putting approx 10,000 bbs through it the stock spring gave out. It was only shooting around 310-320 so I swapped out the spring for an ASG M115 spring as back to about 350-360 with a .20. It's just a basic full metal M4 but it is a solid budget option for anyone looking for a reliable airsoft gun that has a decent gearbox and is lipo ready. The main selling point for me was it is a full metal M4 for $200 with some decent pros.
Overall I'll give it an 8/10.

Pros:
-Full Metal
-Quick change spring feature
-Basic Gate Mosfet
-Wired to deans
-Low resistance silver cord wiring
-11.1 lipo ready...12-13rps on 7.4 25C and 19-20rps on Titan Power 11.1 Li Ion
-6.03 brass tightbore inner barrel gives gun nice accuracy at range. 150-170ft shots are very doable with .28s or heavier.
-2 125 round mid caps ( Actually feed pretty decent)
-Very nice price point
Cons:
-Crane stock is kind of cheap and wobbles
-Stock spring was junk. Wore out after moderate use.
-Motor is average. If this was my primary or even a backup I would defintely upgrade to something with more torque.
-The paint is really cheap. Gotta cut costs somewhere I suppose. Not that big of a deal though.

Overall it is a good gun. Not great but its a step up from your basic starter gun like your Combat Machines, Lancer Gen 2s, CYMA Sportline AKs, etc...I am really wanting to see how their newer stuff with preinstalled Gate Aster mosfets perform.

"Great gun but after 10 shots on a 7.4 the gearbox locked up, but it has a cut out on the gearbox so you can get to the anti reversal without opening the gearbox and letting the fairies out. Got a low discharge Elite Force 11.1 for it now and it loves it, also tried a high discharge 11.1 but it sounds alot better with the EF 11.1. Not all models are RRA licensed though so if your looking for a licensed replica try and find a picture of the back of the box online so you can see which ones are. Also the stock bucking does not like to be flat hopped for some reason but I got a Promy Purple and the fps went from 372-380 to 373-375 so a bucking upgrade is all I'd do to this rifle. As for Evike though I won't be ordering from them anymore because I asked if the E06 was licensed before I ordered it and they said yes and when my gearbox locked up I was gonna send it back but I would of had to pay a restocking fee because I removed the orange tip to install a tracer I also bought from them. But wait that's not it I in the past ordered a OD Green JG Bar10 and got a black Snow Wolf M24 no big deal it's a more expensive gun but not what I ordered, and the third and final reason is when I ordered my NEW CYMA P90 I got a used one someone returned that was scratched to hell, someone tried to flat hop the bucking or something because there was a big piece cut out of it and the barrel was upside down and when I messaged numerous times about the Snow Wolf and the CYMA I never got a response. Good bye Evike hello Airsoft GI!

"(SA-E06 Black)
I love this gun don't get me wrong but straight out of the box with an 11.1v lipo and stock spring, it had overspin and locks up on semi auto which is confusing because everyone says they run an 11.1v lipo with no problem and now I need to buy replacement trigger contacts which sucks. On 7.4v batteries it works like a charm, response is fairly snappy. After a couple months the charging handle spring broke and eventually the plastic that opens the dust cover also broke.
Pros:
- great beginner gun
- comes with mosfet
- good price
Cons:
- really bad paint quality
- bad quality control
- potential of getting "a bad egg"

I would recommend having at least $20-$50 extra to buy replacement parts

"I recently bought this gun as a package in March. The reviews were pretty good and Specna has a good reputation. Outward quality seemed good and the gun was sturdy. I really liked the simple hop up adjustment. However, after the first 100 rounds max, the gearbox started locking up and only allowed intermittent use, followed by complete lockup (switching to full auto didn’t help). It seems to happen mostly on semi-auto, which is an issue because we are only allowed to play with semi-auto at jungle island. I sent it back to Evike for repair, and I got it back a week or so later (customer service was great). After getting it back, the function seemed to be good, so we took it to Jungle Island for some airsofting. Not even 10 minutes in, the gearbox locked up again and my day was over. Yes it’s an inexpensive gun, but I expect it to at least work when it’s new. I’m sure Specna makes decent guns, but at least read some reviews on the message boards prior to buying. I have since found lots of reviews with the same Specna Edge gearbox lockup issue on Reddit, etc. Evike is refunding me and I bought a combat machine as a replacement since my son has one and it’s been going strong for 3 years now.

"I got the SA-E06 and it worked for around 20 rounds on semi until the the gun started to shoot 2-3 round bursts, a couple more trigger pulls would eventually lead to the semi to lock up completely, requiring you to shoot it on full for it to "unlock" and then it would shoot fine on semi until repeating the process again (running 11.1v LiPos). Other than that I am really impressed with the model right out of the box, metal construction provides for a realistic feel and weight and the 2 good quality mid caps are really good for starters.

"Was not the Edge 2.0. Order 2 of them for my son's birthday (one for me, one for him). Received them to find they were not 2.0s. Ordered on 11/06. Received 11/10. Took until 11/14 to confirm they were not the 2.0. Ended up having to pay the $80 difference per gun to get the 2.0s. Now hoping the replacement arrive before his birthday on 11/19.
