"I love the mk47 so much and this gun has delivered and I love it! There are a few aspects I have noticed after owning and using this gun, The mags are wobbly when fitting mid cap or high cap, Right out of the box it shoots 350-360 when I clocked the speed, It said 400 fps when I bought it and sadly it does not shoot at 400 fps right out of the box, but still a very reliable gun especially for my first airsoft gun!

"I purchased the 350fps SBR in late March 2022. I've put at least 6k-9k rounds in both outdoor and indoor airsoft courses as of writing this lengthy review. Please read it all.

We'll go from tip to ...yeah you know.

Overall the external quality is incredibly nice. I'm assuming this is 14mm threads but I haven't tried. I'd like to get a Zenitco muzzle device to make it more aggressive. I do have to say that there may be some sharpness around the edges where the mlok meets the receiver. You can run some 220 grit to smooth it out. I just chose to use a cloth hockey tape wrap to soften it up. Because this is a 10inch handguard having a full 5inch or so sized flashlight may look a little silly. Consider getting the pistol sized ones that can accept a remote switch. Monolithic rail is nice and putting an lpvo isn't silly for it, but it'll add considerable weight.

Magwell is the biggest best thing about this iteration of sr/ar/mk47. Because the magwell doesn't have that weird slant, reloads are easier, and mag fit is easier. I use CYMA branded flash mags and midcap (bake and metal). I think there's a very slight almost unnoticeable wobble on the bakelite midcaps so be warned. For whatever reason the mag I got with the gun only accepted 5 or so BBs...so wtf?

The hop up is the biggest concern and really the only reason why it is 4/5 for me. The mock bolt is constructed in a way that it'll push the gears on the metal hop up. (hop up is covered with an ugly red grease). So anytime you want to set your hop the m4 style hop up wheels and gears are reset and rolled back when you rack the bolt back. Jet DesertFox complained about this issue, but I'm assuming he didn't diagnose it deeper. I'm here to tell you that after splitting the upper and lower receiver (yes like an M4, just one push of 1 pin away) that some plastic bit that pulls the fake bolt forward upon letting go removes all that effort.

I did not bother with the gearbox. Assuming it's CYMA, it'll probably last you for a fair length of time, but I think compression can be helped. With the hop off, I got 320-325 fps.

Wired to deans and I used a 7.4v titan power nunchuck/butterfly type. The mosfet beeps once inserted. Pretty snappy response already, but I'm not a trigger pull snob. Stock is interesting to say the least. I bought this so I can put in m120 or m115 spring, but I have a hard time undoing the stock for the QBS thing. I'm not pursuing this further as I've relegated this gun as my backup for CQB/indoor play.

Otherwise, entirely fine gun to purchase. To address the hop up problem I bought a Krytac hop up unit with a MR.Hop bucking and ZCI 285mm barrel to entirely retrofit this. Krytac hop ups are proprietary to a slight degree. The only modification is to carefully sand down the lower dogleg part of the unit with 80 grit. You need to sand down that lowest part where it is held by a single screw. The extra material interacts with the gearbox in a way that you won't be able to seat it down when putting her back together. But once you take a little off you should be able to never have hop up problems as the bolt mechanism won't play with a rotary hopup.

(this fix was found on airsoft reddit and the OP made an imgur on telling how to do it)

"Hop up is garbage but otherwise internally and externally the gun is absolutely incredible. Stock 13/1 gears is a real blessing.

"This gun is outstanding! Super responsive trigger and ROF with an 11.1LiPo. My only complaint is the hopup unit. This thing WILL NOT STAY SET. I’ve found that it will “walk” itself down to no hop, and when you try to adjust it, the hopup cover will catch and move the hop adjustment gear as it slides forward. Otherwise, it performs beautifully. 10/10 would recommend

"great weapon overall! However, there was a solid 2 weeks where the safety wasn't working and would shoot semi-auto. The safety started working out of nowhere later on so I didn't have to send it back for repairs.

"Great weapon overall. I ran it on some 9.6v and it tears through the mag insanely quick. Accuracy is outstanding, and it has a bit of recoil that my friends picked out while I was full autoing it. It is definitely worth the price, but the ejection port cover has a plastic nub that is used to keep it shut, mine broke after a short bit, so that ejection port/actually a hop-up cover, is forever down leading to slightly annoying always down door. Works perfectly otherwise and I do highly recommend, would purchase again, just be wary of that door and only do so when needed.

"Well now that I've had this thing for about a month I can write an honest review

I'm sorry fanboys, this one just did not hit for me

Let's start with the Aster. This is no fault of Evike whatsoever. Although the installation was kind of sloppy, I found a nicked motor wire on disassembly right off the bat. Because this does not have a metal motor plate and the grip is plastic it's not that big a deal. Still kind of irritating.

I cannot stand the GCS. It's clunky. The optical trigger is super annoying. Sure you can get it to engage quicker, but it's still a mile of travel and it feels sloppy. It was constantly giving me warnings that too much light was getting into the gearbox. I have three Leviathans and actually the install in this gun was the third. If you are looking for a true and actual hair trigger it doesn't get any better. It's just so much cleaner. I'll never go back to another gate product

As for the rifle itself. The gearbox leaves very much to be desired. Sure it's a full metal piston, the AOE out of the box is completely acceptable. But the piston itself does not have the second tooth removed, does not have the third tooth clearanced for the corrected AOE, as well they paired a 18 tooth piston with a 14 tooth sector gear. Just asking for PME

The air nozzle is super sloppy. There's no inner O-ring and with everything assembled doing a compression test it leaked air like nobody's business. Letting me fairly easily push the piston all the way down with the air nozzle in place and my finger capped over the nozzle

Can't really say how I felt about the shimming. I took it back to square one I didn't even check it. Ton of grease, A little bit too much As well the gearbox shell itself is not radiused at the front where the cylinder head fits into place. Cylinder head had itself is double o ring and aluminum, silent type piston head and cylinder head.

As far as the body the disappointments keep hitting. Overall it's super tight, until you get to the mag release. It's very low pressure, needs a little bit stiffer of a spring. Just running through brush it accidentally got knocked and the mag fell out during a game.

As well gun itself was supposed to be 400 FPS model. Chronoing with .32 Instead of 1.4/1.5 J It was 1.19. Until you turn on the hop up, then it is in the neighborhood of 1.1J

Overall I wish I would've saved the money and bought the CYMA version which has a different mag release and just gone through that entirely. This fancier model left much to be desired.
