"Okay to start off this gun is amazing! ive had this gun for just under a month and have shot around 10000 rounds through and it is still going strong. The rof with this gun on an 8.4v is average about 11 rps but once u hook up a 9.6 it boosts my rof up to 16-18rps.
Pros:2mags
fps(around 400 on .25g lil hot for cqb tho)
good rof
amazing range for a stock gun(around 200-225ft)
great for lefties and rightes
only 235 bucks with 2 mags battery charger and barrel extension

Cons:gearbox locked up(easy fix tho)
small battery space can fit a 9.6v nunchuck tho

Anyways this is a great buy for beginners or advanced players!

"I just purchased this gun for myself for Christmas, and i have to say this gun is amazing. I borrowed my friends chrono and it was shootin 409 FPS with .20 and 391 with .25. Here is my list of the pros and cons.

PROS:
No Wobble
Feels Great in your Hands
Shoots amazing
Rails fit all optics: Picattiny rail
Great build
7mm Bushings
Cool Echo1 trademarks
Metal and polymer are amazing quality
Heavy, realistic( could be a con for some people)

CONS: I personally havent found any major cons to this gun
The rear sight sucks, popped off on second day of use
Not sure if it was just mine, but i need to shove my mags in really hard for it to stay

Otherwise this gun is great, i recommend it to anyone that wants it.

"this is The MOST Amazing gun ever. have had it for a year now and with a 9.6v battery the gun hasn't changed a bit. its awesomely amazing. sometimes on single fire my gun will fire three bb's at a time but i think its just my mag. BTW the mag this gun comes with a mag that holds 480-500 rounds. this gun right out of the box is already upgraded and everything. it comes with a good battery (8.4 i believe).

SO EVERY ONE OUT THERE NOOBERS AND VETERANS THIS IS THE GUN FOR YOU. BUY IT BEFORE EVIKE REALIZES THE SHOULD RAISE THE PRICE!!

"this guns a beast. awesome feel great look high rof and fps. it is not full metal but the only thing i didnt like about the gun is that the folding stock feels like is gunna break soon but i might be wrong this is my first echo1 purchase and it was a great buy a 9.6 v would probably be nice but it is not needed at all. I personally i got the holy cow 5$ sale and put a red dot on mine because the sights are crappy and probably used as backups. GET THIS GUN!!!

PROS:
good fps
good rof
echo 1
highy durable plastic and some metal

CONS:
folding stock is a little wobbly no big deal unless u have OCD
evike lies not full metal but close enough
mid cap jams a ton

COMMENTS:
m4/m16 use same type of mag so gets an a&k box mag for an m4 and then put it on this for LMG!!!!
BUY THIS GUN!!
ITS A BEAST!!!!

"Very good gun! it worked right out of the box and nothing wrong with it at all! grip and battery was nice (never use the charger, it will cause Dam to your battery!!) and the rear sight was good, but a little small. sucks that you only fit a small type battery

Pros:
Accurate!
steady
no wooble
range is nice
battery and Grip is nice!

Cons:
a little heavy for some people
charger sucks (but all chargers you get in the packages sucks)
can only fit a small type battery!

10/10
Very solid gun, good plastic and metal, and the sound it make is just so sexy!
by dylan a. on 05/05/2011
"First off i just wanna say that this gun is a beast. I love this gun and it is well worth 235$. Very solid and i recommend getting .25 bbs for it. the .20 don't really get good range and they curve up after about 50ft with the hop up turned all the way down. Also an other reason this gun is great is because of its simple m4 design with better features than an m4, like charging handle, foldable stock and ambidextrous mag release and fire selector. the rail space is nice as well as the barrel extension, giving you the option to go cqb or that assault rifle look. overall the echo 1 scar is awesome and a good buy if your a fan of the scar

"I've had this gun for about 5 months now, and it is amazing. the only things i found bad about it is that the stock is abs plastic and it does get loose sometimes, and when you fold the stock to the side the battery wire is exposed and it may cause a problem if you like to crawl with the stock up. Another thing to note is that the flash hider threading is counter clockwise.

Pros:
High rate of fire
Ampedextrious selector switch and mag release
Adjustible stock
Hop up system works like a charm

Cons:
.30 bbs reccomend (depending on your batter, i have a 5000mAh so yeah)
Rate of fire could be to high for some
the high cap it comes with is gray and is really long
with .20s shoots 330-350 fps .12s shoots 400-450
the barrel extension it comes with is 14mm

I very highly recommend getting a large type batttery

"This is a great gun! I got it for my birthday and i've had no problems with it. The only bad thing was the grip that came with it, when i put it on it was loose. I tried to tighten it a little more and it broke. Get a better grip when you buy this gun. But overall its the best airsoft gun i've ever had.
by Christian W. on 02/17/2011

"Been using this gun for about a year now and I've dropped about $300 in after market part and up grades to make sure its top of the line, and it doesn't fall short of excelent every time I take it out into the field. Its versitility and duribility allow for it to fit the hands of any player. This is a great starter gun if your just getting into the sport and as you become more advanced as a player its easy enough to upgrade your weapon to keep up with your evolving skill.

Pros;
Light weight
Durable
Shoots hard and acurate
Rail systems for optics
Amadextris (can be used in right or left hand)

Cons;
Selector switch sticks at first needs to worn in
Only a small peice of plastic holds the stock to the upper receiver when not colapsed (this breaks with enough force)
Doesn't come with that great of a battery

Overall, outstanding weapon great for all players, and a very reasonable price

"Well just received this gun Friday, had it for 2 days and it still may be in its new stage but it kicks butt. The manufacturer says only to use .25 with their SCAR Version and i listened to them because I dont want my gun to break any time soon. And even using .25's im still getting great range, fps, and huge differences with the Hop up. I live where it is very windy, and even with that the gun still shoots very accurately up to 100ft. Also the gun not only just being accurate, and having great range is that the over all build quality of the gun is amazing. Very heavy, sturdy, and does not feel like it will break or be damaged external any time soon. The best part about this gun for me is the fear factor of the gun its self. I am using one of my old full metal and black phantom flash hiders, and when my friends who also have high-end AEGs see this gun aimed at them, they run or get to cover. Over all it is a sweet gun.

STOCK
The stock for me at least is defiantly the most disappointing point of this gun. Its not that the stock is low quality, or feels cheep, its that many areas of it can mess you up. For example, when having the stock out (not folded) and you set it down on the stock, you can clearly see the gun bend where the stock is attached. Now it wont break off or snap, this is mainly caused because the part that hooks the stock into place is this sort of hard rubber. (not the best idea) Another thing that makes the stock a disappointment is the battery space, and the wires. The battery it comes with (8.4v 12mah, charge time 4 hours) just fits into the stock. I find it easiest for inserting the battery by extending the stock all the way, placing the battery in the way back, (cords in the front) Attaching the cords outside the stock, then putting the cords in the front of the battery. the ods of you fitting a 9.6 or bigger in the stock is very slim, and I hope i can find a custom type 9.6 so i don't need to use the external battery pouch. And the cord from the gear box to the stock is in the worst possible spot ever. It is exposed, and really stretched out when the stock is folded. It goes from the back of the gun, turns 90 degrees into the stock. (stresses cord very much) when folding the stock back into full position make sure the cord is not in the way of the stock, or it will snag, or even cut the cord. Other than the battery and folding problems it is over all very sturdy and wont break. The stock is a 4 position SCAR stock, and the cheek riser has 3 positions. One thing to be careful about when folding the stock is that the lock where the stock catches very small, and doesn't keep a tight fit. Even as I got it, it was very loose, and barley kept it in place.

LOWER RECEIVER
The lower receiver houses the V2 gear box, magwel, and motor. It is made out of a sturdy and great quality ABS plastic, and is attached to the upper receiver with three body pins. The second day I had this, we where playing a game the the forward most pin fell out. Sadly I never found it and will have to order a new set of pins from ECHO-1, but the gun surprised me by still being very sturdy and still no wobble. The selector switch is ambidextrous, same with the mag release. It is very similar to a M4. The only con would be the M4 style grip. It is defiantly to small for this gun, and gets uncomfortable after awhile. I would recommend using gloves, or getting a new grip all together for greater support.

UPPER RECEIVER
This part of the gun is where most of the weight is. It is all metal, has a full length numbered rail on the top (also metal) the hammer (which can be changed to either side with a hex key) The 3 piece metal RIS hand rails, (two can be removed, bottom can not) Both metal sling mounds, flip up rear and front sight (both metal and adjustable) outer barrel, Adjustable gas system (not functional) and the Semi-Licensed white panted trade marks. (on mine, the word SCAR was whited out on the gun, and the box) This is where the weight of the gun is, but it is very balanced none the less. Everything just stated is excellent quality, and works great. the sights are my favorite part. They are very adjustable, and work great with a RDS, or a Holo sight. The only con with the sights is that the eye relive for the back sight is very, very small. Unlike the M4, to revile the hop up is very simple. Simply just pull the hammer back, hold the gun with the hammer, and adjust. (up for less, down for more.) Even after pulling the hammer many times, no scratches on the metal have appeared. The hop up has a huge range and I am very impressed with it. The gun comes with a 3in barrel extension. (outer barrel only) The only con with the upper receiver is that the metal just above the lower rail moves when pushed together. It does not wobble, but if you push on each side, the side on the right will move in, than slightly out again. This may because because on my lost body pin, or something inside the gun. Never the less it does not affect performance or the sturdiness of this gun.

CONCLUSION
9/10 for this AEG Scar-L by ECHO-1 USA. Excellent quality on this gun, and I can defiantly see my self using this far in the future. The only bad thing with the gun is the stock, wires, battery space, and body pins. Defiantly recommended for intermediate to expert players alike. GREAT GUN!

"I've owned this gun since January 2009 (nearly 2 years), and I've never had a single problem with it. The only upgrade I've done is a Mad Bull Tightbore Barrel (300mm) and I'm outranging most AEGs on the field. It's dead accurate, and I've used an 11.1v LiPoly in it for a long time. No signs of wear and tear. It has great range, its powerful, its accurate, and it feels good in your hands.

It looks REALLY awesome with a Reflex sight, Classic Army M203 (short), and Gemtech Blackside suppressor.

If you're looking for a gun that won't let you down. This is the gun for you. It's even been submerged in water, and it still fires flawlessly. I love it.

"can this gun take a lipoly battery also what spring does it come with
by Todd C. on 04/21/2010
"I have had this gun for over a year and it performs great. I get a consistent 380 fps out of it and the only thing that I don't like about the gun is the weight. It can be pretty heavy for the long 8 hour airsoft events.

Other than that... great gun
