"This gun is pretty darn good for a sportline, nice polymer, high rof, high fps.
Pros:high rof
High fps
Comfotable
Light wieght
Strong polymer
Nice flip up sights
All mags I threw in it had little to no wobble
Cons: pistol grip a bit wobbly
Sometimes the trigger doesnt respond
Which got me shot in the ear

Over all a perfect gun for a starter to intermediate players

"This is a great gun. Ignore the facebook comment section because they're all ignorant and believes this is a really bad gun, in fact it isnt, but i do agree that it does have a couple of cons.

Pros:
Metal upper reciever
Adept for external upgrades
FPS
Rate of Fire with 9.6v
Easily accessible hop-up
Takes most M4 mags
Extremely solid
Very ergonomic with various options to customize it

Cons:
Polymer lower reciever and stock (Though it is very durable and wont scratch easily)
Non-functioning bolt catch
Polymer top rail (Still very durable, can handle a lot)
Glued on orange tip when recieving package (Im norwegian so you dont need orange flash hiders around here, but was easy to remove with a knife)
9.6v is kinda tricky to get into the stock, cant retract further than 3 (almost fully retracted, just one notch away)

Overall i really like the SCAR, if you're a beginner or are looking to buy a kind of good gun for a really good price, then i suggest you buy this. Its not of the proline, extreme airsofts, but its very good overall.

"When I first I got this gun I thought wow this is amazing! It broke about 6 times on me I had to buy a Matrix Turbo Motor and a typebore barrel. I upgraded the gun exterenaly by adding an EGLM Grenade Launcher. Black Dimand Rail Covers. Extra Magpul EMags. a QD Mock Suppressor (Im Probably Changing It To A Long Barrel). And a Red Dot Scope.

Pros: Shoots Amazingingly Accuritely
Very Light (At First)

Cons: When buying the gun be prepared to get new internalls just a warning that happend to me.
To put a 9.6 battery you needa dremel the back peice off for room
Gets very heavy externally for me 35 pounds.

"I bought this gun five days ago and at first I was really happy with it. It had good fps and I love the look of the scar. But when I played my first game with it the folding stock broke, so I wasn't able to keep it full length. and this gun has a very small battery compartment so if you plan on getting a lypo or any other type of battery, this gun probably wont be able to hold it, unless you drill a hole in the back of the stock an attach a pouch like I did

pros
- high fps (around 410 or 430)
- all metal (except the stock)
- takes m4 mags
- is lypo ready

cons
- stock brakes VERY EASILY
- its a pain to get a different battery for it other then the one it comes with
- the iron sights that come with it are not very good (it would be a good idea to get a scope)

I dont regret buying this gun but you may have to replace the stock like I am going to do.

"AWESOME GUN!! Got this gun last friday 12-9-11, used it in a game next day, their chrono put me at 400fps exactly. it was chrono'd from 390-405. great gun! fire rate is solid for a 8.4v

PROS:
Good ROF for an 8.4

a 9.6v battery will in fact fit, it just takes some wiggling to get in, after its in, could be hard to get out same as getting in, but you can get it in and fully collapse it aswell. Just position the wire correctly and you will be good! :) dont be discouraged on the 9.6 cause you cant just throw it in there lol, 4 batteries long, its a perfect fit.

Shoots strait

Comes with a barrel extention!! even though it says it does not, it actually does :)

does not wobble anywhere, and if it does and your THAT picky, then your spoiled.

Shoots 390fps-405fps out of box with .20g bbs

very sturdy, the weight was not an issue for me and im a wimp :P

ambidextrous mag release, selector switch.

comes with 1 grey extended high cap mag, 1 tan 75rd mid cap.

full metal upper receiver

flip up sights and adjustable rear flip sight.

CONS:

Flash hider is plastic and i fell and broke it the day of use.

Bolt catch system is just for looks and does not work. Must hold the bolt back to get to hop up system.

foldable stock can wear down your wire if your not careful when opening and closing it. (wire shows when folded)

butt pad comes off easily, i thought it would not but it truly did :( tape it down.

gearbox needs to be tightened up a bit when purchased.

The tan mag that it comes with needs to be pushed in a little harder than normal mags (not really an issue)

Make sure you guys lube your mags and gun when you get this weapon! Its best to do in order to keep your bullets feeding properly :) I would suggest this gun to first time airsoft users like myself and experienced players!

"i got this gun last year, and i have constantly had fun shooting it, yet the gun has some downsides.

Pros:
Fps is hot.
very nice construction
intimidating look
working charging handle
ambidexterous

Cons:
Heavy
CANT fit a 9.6
rof is kinda bad out of the box

Overall i would buy this gun if i were beginning airsoft or looking for a gun other than m4s which everyone has. if you put the time and effort into it, it can be one heck of a gun.

"The ECHO 1 ASC or the SCAR L is pretty good for beginner and competition style skirmishes but the only thing that i dont like about this model is that the stock wont fit a 9.6 battery unless u take the back of stock off and make some changes with the battery space but i would just suggest u get the scar h because the battery compartment is bigger and u dont have 2 make room for a 9.6 because they put more room in the stock
PROS:
- FULL METAL upper reciever
- comes with barrel extenson
- rail system
- folding sights for when u want optics
CONS:
- battery compartment is crap cant fit 9.6
- wires r exposed when stock is folded

"pros:

full metal
version 2 gear box
3 way adjustable stock
nice rate of fire out of the box
good distance
easy to adjust hop up
lots of rail space

Cons:
wire connecting the battery in the stock to the body
gear box is a pain in the but to remove

"i just got the echo1 scar tan, i will say this gun is AMAZING!! it is full metal except for the stock and lower reciever. All the important parts are metal and the upper reciever is to. there are only a few problems that dont have to do with the gun. the mid cap mag has some feeding problems. also the foregrip has some problems tightning. what happend to me when i got the gun i put the battery in and tried to fire and it was making a horrible nosie. i later figured out that the motor was off-set so i screwed it up more and cept firing it every once in awhile. i finaly got it to work now it is amazing!! right now you may think it has alot of problems but that would be wrong. there is realy nothing wrong with it. but i would suggest getting a faster motor but thats just me.

"Awesome gun! Nice body great rate of fire even with the 8.4 volt. I wouldn't recommend using a 9.6 until you upgrade the internals. I can't see what all the fuss is about with people removing the flashhider, I gave it a good turn and it screwed right off. As far as the hopup is concerned, yes out of the box my .25s went about 30 ft and then flew stright up. When you order this gun, also order a standard black hopup bucking and save yourself the trouble. When I finally got mine and got the bucking installed .20s went more or less straight to the target. I don't know if this is something evike does, but my battery came fully charged. The first game I played, it chronoed at 365, but that was with the hopup being all messed up, so I'm sure I may have squeezed a few more fps out of it by fixing the bucking. Disassembly was a snap, pop out the two pins in the lower receiver, take out two screws on the lower receiver and one behind the rear sight and everything just slides out. All in all a great gun, both visually asthetic and for a stock gun, a real powerhouse. I would recommend this gun to anyone. If you are new to the game, talk to someone who plays about replacing the hopup bucking.

"I've had this gun for almost a month now. A really nice gun.

PROS
High FPS
Metal Upper Reciever
very accurate
very durable
looks beastly
very nice sound

CONS
not full metal like i expected
comes with 2 crappy magazines that misfeed like crazy

beside that its a great gun and a great buy

Webmaster: All full metal scar have "metal upper receiver" just like MP5 series AEG. There is no such thing as metal scar folding stock or metal motor grip, even on the real thing...just FYI.

"Very good gun no real complaints, however my freind owns this gun and i own the Dboys full metal one and there pretty much the exact same exept for brand labels and an extra mag, honestly this gun is good but the Dboys is the same =)

"For this price point the performance out of the box is very disappointing. Externals are acceptable for ~$260 but the weak gearbox and poor hop-up are embarrassing.
by Joe L. on 08/21/2022
"Great externals and look for the under $200 4th of July sale price. Shoots ok with the cheap stock silver motor with 11.1v, but a Rocket HT motor would wake this gun up. The aluminum cylinder won’t last long, Polycarbonate piston looks ok, no spring bearings on either end. The steel gears look strong though.
If you’re planning on upgrading the internals, you’d better think twice, unless you’re a seasoned tech. The gearbox is rough inside and out, lots of deburring work. The gearbox is also tight, which means you can’t use aftermarket gears unless you shave the stock 8mm bushings or install low profile FLT bushings. If you do use the stock bushings, be aware that they do have a lot of axle play, which wasn’t acceptable. If you want to use a different gearbox shell you will have only a few options because you will need one with forward selector switch gear holes(G&G gb shells should work), BUT, if you’re willing to deal with the hassle, and do the work, you’ll get a lot of attention at the field.
