"Not bad for the price, yet still a little disappointed. Allow to preface this review that I own the universally hated WE Galaxy G series, in fact it was my first replica. I think comparing the two is fair. But first let’s go over the actual AAP-01 and what you get.
In the box you get:
x1 AAP-01
x1 Orange Tip (separate from the gun itself)
x1 Plastic Top Rail
x1 Plastic Bottom Rail
x4 allen wrench screws
The Good
I really like the fact that the orange tip comes separate from the gun itself, the threads are clearly exposed and are painted orange to comply with US federal law. But honestly I really wish all other airsoft gun companies did this, it’s such a pain to rip the orange tip off guns and with the AAP-01 it’s ready for a tracer right out of the box. The replica is lightweight and has decent stippling in the pistol grip, and reminiscent of glock style pistol grips. However, I’d highly doubt any after market GLOCK lowers would accommodate the AAP-01. Not that this matters however because the AAP-01 has a large selection of aftermarket prices to the point where you may mod it so much that there aren’t any stock parts left in the gun expect the magazine. Safe to say that the AAP-01 rivals the Hicapa in aftermarket support. Lastly, modding and disassembling the gun was extremely easy which was a surprise as I’ve always felt that the replicas I own are somewhat confusing to disassemble. The performance out of the box is not bad, compared to other pistols. Gas efficiency is where you’ll see the highlight with a stock AAP-01 but with an upgraded bucking i’m sure it’s accuracy would skyrocket.
The Bad
I feel as though in an effort to make the AAP-01 affordable the quality of the product is somewhat lacking. When I received mine I immediately noticed that almost the entire gun was barely lubricated, the longevity of the replica was compromised from the very get go and while it was easy to lube up, I found it a little annoying. The screws for the rails did not fit very well into the holes that were made for them. In fact one of the holes for the top rail was too small on the replica I received. Which meant I could not securely attach the top rail. I feel as though it would be easy to drill a small hole for the screw in the top of replica however I decided against it for fear of voiding my warranty for the replica. The overall quality of the replica is made of lightweight polymer however study it feels…cheap. You get what you pay for I suppose.
Compared to the WE Galaxy G Series
The galaxy (on evike) costs about 40 dollars more and has little to no aftermarket support. HOWEVER, looking from a stock standpoint I believe the Galaxy has the upper hand on the AAP-01 in terms of quality. The entire upper of the Galaxy is aluminum metal and feels nice and heavy as a result. The polymer feels a bit more heavy duty as well, and the screws to fit on the rails were simple and easy. The AAP-01 magazines are nicer than the Galaxy in the fact that they hold gas better, however the finish the AAP-01 magazines were easily chipped. The AAP-01 has a better safety switch than the Galaxy. Both replicas have a painfully annoying fire selector located in the actual bolt of the replica.
PROS
- Lightweight (Can be a con)
- TONS of Aftermarket Parts and Carbine Kits
- Compatible with WE and VFC Glock magazines (Fit nicely too)
- Cheap Price
- No glued on Orange Tip, tracer ready our of the box
- Easy Disassemble
- Gas efficient
CONS
- Fully Plastic Exterior Parts
- Magazine Finish Easy Chips
- Cheap Plastic feel out of the Box
- Poor Quality control for rail holes
- Annoying fire selector located in the bolt
Final
Overall, I’d say that the AAP-01 is an amazing starter and a awesome project gun. But for a collector of replicas or an current owner of a WE Galaxy I’d avoid this gun. It’s good for beginner because of it’s price and upgradability, but it’s got a few glaring issues that an be fixed with a little more investment to make it the perfect CQB gun. However, unfortunately the AAP-01 is not personally for me.

"Great gun but the valve on the mag broke for some reason keeps getting stuck on the green gas cannister and I know it's not cause I'm doing it wrong because i do it the same way on my other mags and their fine. The gun is very snappy and really quick in full auto it's also very easy to put in aftermarket parts because of the simple method of removing the bolt and barrel 9/10

"Ive had the gun for 2 months now probably only got like 1000 rounds out of gun and the magazine does not hold green gas anymore ive took the mag apart and checked the o rings on the valve and o ring inside the mag to check if the o rings were dry or cracked and they were fine i relubed em still dose not work overall guns shoots amazing and is a good quality gun

"Awesome 100 dollar sidearm. I've only been able to shoot it once so far, but everything works as advertised. Full auto is obviously loads of fun but not at all practical on a pistol, and wastes green gas. Shoots hard, pretty accurate at short and medium range, haven't really been able to tell with long range. The one weird thing i found was that while it says that tac rails weren't included, mine came with them. Idk if Evike just does a bit of trolling or whatever lol, but i ain't gonna complain. Getting them screwed on was a tedious process that shouldn't have taken the time it did or the help of my dad. But they work. Extra mags are a little overpriced, but that goes without saying for airsoft sidearms. The guns has a nice weight to it. It feels externally plasticy, but its durable and feels solid. The magazine gives the handle some extra weight to complement the metal inner parts.
I'd say one of the few things i don't like about the firearm itself is the selector switch. Its inside the gun, so you have to lock the slide back and manually change it. Which sucks because i can't ever tell if im pulling or pushing the right way or not so i have to look at it which points the barrel towards me and that's a big no no. I know there are 3D printed parts to fix that, but the fact that it couldn't have been put on the back of the slide in the first place sucks a bit.
Worth the 130 (160 if you count the green gas) bucks for the gun and one spare mag, don't think it gets much better than this

"Evike shipped me the China version as mentioned in other reviews and they didn’t even know it somehow until I pointed out that even action army says don’t buy if the gun has all these differences because that is the cheaper version not US model. But, ofcourse, it was a Christmas present so I kept it and they gave me a discount code which I made good use of. Otherwise the gun is good, however, it’s rate of fire is ridiculous, which sounds great until the gun freezes up in slightly colder weather using a larger mag. If evike can’t get the us model, change the picture to the more ghetto one.

"Overall, it's a good-looking gun. I also got the cheap 3D printed tip which was mildly disappointing but I was going to take it off anyway. The best way to get the orange tip off is to blast it with heat and since it's cheap 3d printed plastic will melt right off. I made the bad mistake to get it in the winter so I haven't been able to use it outside much but it works great inside. My main complaint is I got a defective model and had to send it back but they sent it back about a week later and it works 10x better.

"BEFORE YOU BUY:
1. It Does NOT come with rails ... I REPEAT Does NOT come with Rails!
2. The Thread is made of Polymer ... CAREFUL when Removing Orange Tip!!!
3. ADJUST HopUp ... Rounds will fall out if you don't set it up.
***You Have Been Warned***
Pros:
1. Takes just about any Glock Styled Mag
2. VERY Gas efficient (FPS ~340)
3. FULL AUTO!!! (~22 RPS)
4. Barrel Does NOT move = +Accuracy
5. Easy Access to HopUp via Ejection Port
6. Glock Compatible Internals
7. CCW -14mm Thread
8. AFTERMARKET ACCESSORIES AND PARTS++
9. Fiber Optic Sights
Cons:
1. ALL Polymer Body, Frame, Receiver
2. Polymer Thread
3. BB's FALL OUT of the chamber when set to NO HOP
4. Proprietary HopUp Unit
5. RAILS NOT INCLUDED***
My Review:
In all honesty, this is a solid gun that can potentially replace the Glock. Great performance! Very Unique! Alot of Mods, Customizations, and Parts! Let's not forget = FULL AUTO!! This gun is really good out of the box, but it does have room for improvements.
I give it 4/5 because of all of the pros, but if it were not for the missing rails, polymer threads, and the BB's Falling out then this gun would be a beast!

"Add me to the list of people who received a crappy 3d printed thread protector glued to the muzzle.
I also did not receive any accessory rails (like I got with my first one, ordered from a different vendor).
Looks like this batch was hurried through to meet the preorder demand. Hope they didn't cut any other corners...

"So good product but not consistent the picture of the gun is what you suppose to get aka natal removable muzzle protected and rails, some people have gotten that from the gun purchased on evike while others like me got and unofficial version with a 3d printed muzzle protecter and no rails. How are you gonna legally gonna sell the same product 2 different ways with no price difference or say so of it being different. The guns great but for me to find out from action army post that I was sold a unofficial and basically scammed is very disappointing and frustrating.

"It works perfectly and I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a cheap, fully auto capable secondary as it gets the job done with little hassle as it does not have a traditional slide. The bolt allows for very snappy shots and could be built into something a little more quiet. However, as of writing this, the pistol i recieved did not have the included "optional upper and lower 20mm accessory rails for sights, lights, lasers, and other tactical accessories" as stated in the product listing and the screw off orange tip that reveals the orange painted threads that is seen in the picture and in other stores reviews is glued on tight with cheap red plastic. This makes it difficult as almost all the externals, even the threads, are made of the same polymer. This may have just been a bad batch, but definitely has to be noted.

"It is a pretty neat pistol, comfortable, light, doesn't feel loosely put together. a problem I have is whenever i release the slide, it knocks out the top bb in my magazine and It does it each time it is fired and loads a new one. so it is not accurate in the slightest. I will have to figure out how to fix that because I really want to use it!

"The gun itself is good w/ a very distinct profile and good performance out of the box. But the item shipment wasn’t exactly as advertised. The mode I received came with a pretty bad looking 3D printed red/orange cap glued on instead of the painted version shown in images and also did not arrive w/ the advertised accessory rails. Other than evike sending a package that definitely wasn’t what was fully advertised, I’d highly recommend this product. 5 stars for the gun, but putting down 3 for bad store info and the ugly 3D print tip

"It's a good airsoft gun but the reason for 1 start is because the picture and information at the time of purchase was misleading. First of all the original post said that it would come with the accessory rails which it didn't. Second the orange flash hider you see in the picture isn't included but instead you get a cheap 3D printed one that is super glued on; which is the most upsetting thing about the the gun since if you try to take it off your are guaranteed to damaged the threads since they are made of thin polymer. So unfortunately you won't be able to add mock suppressors or tracer units. My suggestion is to buy from somewhere else if they don't ship it with the correct flash hider.
