"To start, it's already hard to find any MP5k platforms out there so; yes this is a bit above the normal going cost on a "Competition" level AEG.

So now keeping that in mind. This gun is definitely built sturdy for a poly body gun. Although the information on the gun here on evike said it was a V3 gearbox, its actually a V2. In my opinion, that's how they should have come. It's also, of course; a long type motor user. It uses nearly everything the standard AR platform uses internally. From the selector plate, the selector dial, and generally everything else.

All of these things are bonuses in my book!

You do get what you pay for so you must expect that this doesn't have a threaded adapter on the front end (With modification, you can get an adapter to fit, aka like the removable adapters off of any of the CYMA metal bodies or ICS's adapters). A surprising bonus; the hopup seems to be of some better quality which seems to be made of alloy. The down side is that the foregrip needs to be removed in order to adjust the hopup and it's not the easiest to remove (Which may be a good thing). Though, once adjusted; it stays firmly in place.

Another bonus is obviously the lack of weight. This thing is weightless! (Well sorta).

Finally, as I said before; for it being "Competition" level its actually a solid build and if you can't find any other MP5k platform for sale or you are looking for a lighter version of the metal body ones; this is it!

"Fantastic gun!

I have used this gun in many CQB arenas as well as outdoor arenas and I must say, its just amazing! It has a very respectable fire rate with a 9.6v stick battery and it is very accurate, provided you use slightly heavier bbs.

Battery space (you have to cram it in the top)

It is definitely a great gun and in my opinion, the cons are very minor.

"This is such a great gun for an mp5 platform. I love the added rail space above with the swordfish attachment. The foregrip is also a great feature for all MP5k's just wish there were more mp5k flashlight grips on the market, there are basically none. The only drawback to this gun is the shorty curved magazine, it sucks it's pretty hard to get in there and I can't see using this in emergency on the field, stick with the provided angel custom straight style magazines preferably the 200rd high cap winding ones that you can stack. Overall 9/10 stars!

"I have used this gun multiple times and to me it is one of the best guns out there. so far it hasn't jammed or broken. The only problem I have is when i plug the battery in i have a hard time putting the grip back on because theirs too much wire, but that is partially because of the battery's wire, which is the one that came with it. And the giant flash hider could have been smaller, other than that its great. I have a hard time seeing down the sights because my mast hits the stock on other guns but because there is no stock that problem was resolved. When I got the gun I chronoed it and got 291 which was above what the box said and the hop up is easy to use

"I've had this gun for 2 months and for the price this is a solid gun. The swordfish front is awesome for CQB and takes corners like a dream. Without the protruding barrel, you can get the jump on people. But the gun is front heavy because of the fish. With 25 gram bb's this is pretty accurate. Rate of fire with a 9.6 volt is decent.

Pros:
-Cqb friendly, but has range enough for some bigger fields
-Decent rate of fire.
-Comes with extra Angel Custom straight mag and hand grip
-Rail Space!!
-Door bashing front end!
-Everything but stock is metal.
-Full stock (Lots of battery space)

Cons:
-Front heavy/Unbalanced

All in all very solid gun, just make sure you can handle the all metal, heavy goodness.

"I received this a Christmas present from my wife and I must say its a beast.

I wanted something for the CQB area of the game and this did not disappoint. it feels very solid and came out of the box fairly accurate I was hitting coke cans out at 150ft.

The only real cons I have with it, I feel bad even calling them cons because its just my own personal issues I think, but to put on the included vertical grip and my sights I had to remove the front part which was easy enough to do with an Allen wrench It was just annoying to me. Also the battery I was using was a large stick type and was banging around in the stock a lot when I was on the run, i'll probably just get a smaller lipo or something.

overall I still give this a 5 stars because its a BEAST!!!!

"This gun is very well built and the range you can get with it is very surprising for the small barrel that it has. The small type 9.6V NiMH rechargeable battery that is recommended with the gun lasts most of the day but if you get two then you don't have to worry. All the internals and externals are great and feel very sturdy. If you get the battery that is recommended with the gun get a large to small adapter because the gun has large type wiring.
If you are looking for a SMG get this one!!

"Great gun. Accuracy is on point and it has a very solid feel to it. On full auto this thing is a beast and sounds like one. No problems so far. Definitely need to get sights for it and it sucks that you have to take it apart to put on the grip it comes with but other than that it was a great buy. I highly recommend it and will be updating review after a few more uses and once I get a look at internals.

"This is a great gun. Its externals are great, its range and accuracy are incredible, and it comes with some pretty cool trades as well. It has a great RPM and shoots at a perfect 330 fps for CQB. The functioning charging handle and pneumatic blowback are nice, and the stock hop-up is simply amazing. This gun is unbelievably sturdy; I would trust this gun to support my body weight.

I would definitely recommend this gun to anybody looking for a great CQB primary. You won't regret buying this gun.

Have to dissassemble bottom rail just to put anything on it such as a grip.

"Absolutely amazing, the only problem I've got with this is the rear sling mount point on the stock, it is very shallow other than that it is a dream. I'd highly recommend this as both an airsofter and as an mp5 enthusiast. it can take both the large type battery and small type (adapter included) words do not do this gun justice. if you are looking for an airsoft gun then look no further, if you are looking for a realistic replica it is a piece of art. And truly a masterpiece in both worlds.

"I got this gun in an Evike Box of awesomeness, so i did not pay full price.

FOR ANYONE WITH AN MP5: They take stick type batteries. You may or may not know that to install the battery you have to take the stock off, put it in, take the grip off, plug in the battery, then adjust everything to fit, put the grip back on, then the stock, and finally your ready to shoot. WAY TOO MUCH TIME.

So i came up with a quick solution: I cut the positive wire, put an extension on it and then wired the connector up and out of the bolt opening. So I just put a PEQ box on the top rail and now i can use any battery of any size and it take 5 seconds to swap instead of 5 minutes. No more wasted time, and no need to purchase stick batteries if you own none.

stock has tiny bit of wobble (not a problem for me at all)
can never put a silencer or flash hider/extended inner barrel (who cares its 1 of a kind)
can't really put your hand all the way around the grip when stock is folded. mine gets pinched
have to take front grip off to adjust hop up (as with every mp5)
stock clip is around a 80 rd high cap (get more)

OVERALL this gun is sick. The pros easily outweigh the minor cons, and some can be fixed. Since i got this in a BOA i am extremely satisfied once again. THANKS EVIKE!

"Awesome gun, first airsoft gun I've ever bought. The battery fit is really tight. (I leave the battery in the gun to charge) I agree with Steven G. I was surprised that the gun came with a battery and charger. The gun is quite heavy to be honest, but that's what I bought it for is the real feel. All in all a great buy.
