"So I'll start of by saying that I'm only in airsoft because of my 13 year old son so I wanted to buy something that I could impress him with. I found this gun and after all of the shopping I did, I decided on this one. Out of the box it is amazing to shoot after I had a cheep one off of Amazon. I didn't like that the battery is sold separately but whatever, so I bought a 11.1 volt to go with it and it shoots BB's like a laser. It sounds intimidating and with 28g BB's, it shoots straight. We go to competition games with co workers and their kids and I'll have to say this gun is by far the best out there so now that that's out of the way let me tell you what I have problems with. First day, the mosfet had a wire that got pulled out from adjusting the stock. It took me some time to figure out what the problem was. It would shoot 3 and stop and beep. Found the wire, plugged it back and put a couple zip ties to the main battery's wire to keep it from happening again. Also the dust plate for the hop up opens every time I shoot. So should I put tape on my $400 gun to keep it close? Sure looks that way. I've only had this gun for a few day and I hope these are the only problems that I have. Other than that, amazing gun if it holds up.

"I recently bought this gun and have had a few issues. The hop up on mine is terrible. I had to use .4 gram bbs with the hop all the way down for it to fire somewhat straight. The gun also weighs close to 9 pounds and carrying it around is a pain. However, the trigger response and rate of fire are amazing. Personally, for the price I would rather own a Scorpion Evo.

"I just got this gun and I want to point a few things out.

First I just want to say that this gun is really good, the sound and fire rate of this gun is awesome not to mention the looks on this beast. Anyway the first problem I had was the magazine, when I first put it in it was really stiff and it barely fit, I was not impressed with the magazine overall. The second problem I had was the lower receiver, specifically the mag release. I went down to get my other magazine which was slightly smaller than the one you get with the gun and put it in. I fired a few shots and by the time I got to my fifth shot the magazine fell out most likely due to its slightly smaller size, I put it back in thinking that I must have accidentally pressed the mag release when I was firing. I tried shooting again and once again it fell out, I put the gun in full auto and the mag just kept falling out due to its small size and the vibration and kick from the shots. The magazine which you get with the gun is stiff and large but I can still put it in, however this might be a problem for reloading in a fight. My other magazine is just small and doesn't fit quite well but thats not going to be and issue because I can just buy the really popular mid cap G&G magazines.

Overall I really recommend this gun to anyone who wants a gun that looks, sounds, feels, and shoots good but I recommend you get different magazines.

"I brought this in primarily to use the receiver set for a project I had in mind. The rail system is pretty long and in width feels a lot like an M16A2 handguard. The outer barrel is decently solid, but just looks terribly cheap owing to the rough external finish. This gun does not come with a steel flash hider despite what is pictured here.

The flip up sights are nicely done, as is the charging handle. I'm not a fan of the motor grip, which feels steep and cheap (like all CAA inspired products) or the crane stock, so those will be getting ditched. The buffer tube is solid and is threaded for a castle nut, though the Times New Roman font for the numbered positions kind of seems weird. Literally the best part of this gun is the receiver halves, which are very pretty and solid.

On the internals side, the G2 gearbox has a quick-change spring guide and some updated bits. The gearset and anti-reversal latch is the same as found in every other G&G Ver. 2 before it, but has had two teeth short stroked from the factory. It's a conventional 18.72:1 ratio which is paired with the 18 TPA IFRIT 25K motor. 8mm bearings are in place, which is a nice change from those terrible bronze colored bushings G&G has used for ages. Despite all this, the gun does not seem very zippy and the ROF is pretty average, albeit the semi-auto trigger response is somewhat crisper than most stock guns. The gears were decently shimmed out of the box, and I actually think the IFRIT sounds less whiney than the Krytac 30K motor when both are examined side by side.

The piston is also updated and is very CYMA-esque with a nice and beefy body and full metal rack that comes with the second to last tooth removed already. There is no AOE correction. For some reason G&G elected to use an unported piston head in this gearbox.

The cylinder head and air nozzle are new designs. Both are CNC machined, with the nozzle featuring double o-rings and measuring out at 21.20mm long. The rubber pad on the back of the cylinder head is quite thin and just locks into place via friction fit.

This version of the ETU has an empty magazine cutoff, which only works with the G&G mags as far as I know. If using another brand, it becomes almost a secondary 'safety' of sorts, as without a magazine in the gun it won't fire period.

Unfortunately, (and this is my biggest gripe) G&G went full Krytactarded and made some poor design decisions with the gearbox shell. There is some needless material near the ETU trigger that will have to be removed in order to fit a TITAN or Spectre. The more egregious affront is the spur gear area, which is senselessly built up. Modification to spurs will absolutely be necessary in order to fit any other gearset in this gun.

The hop up chamber is the new rotary style unit that's a good improvement over the old versions. It comes with the blue split nub style bucking that I'm still not a fan of. The inner barrel is actually made of brass, and not piece of chintzy aluminum tubing.

The gun shot decently with .28g's. On a .20g it was chronoing around 375 FPS, which seems a bit low and I would likely attribute this to a compression leak somewhere.
