"The action on this gun is pretty realistic as far as toy guns go but the build quality left me constantly fretting that i would break something. I would not recommend this for field use as a single drop could be disaster and since it only has one very sketchy sling loop theres really no way to carry it securely.
if you want a gun to shoot cans on the back porch and want something a bit more fun than a red rider this will certainly do the trick. shooting and cycling the gun is fun to do and even reloading is satisfying in its own way but i simply do not trust this gun to hold up to any sort of punishment.

"this is my 2nd review. after being busy with work and fire dept duties i finally was able to restain the the butt stock and forearm grip. at first i was going to use a cherry stain but after doing a sample it looked like it had to much purple so i went with the red mahogany i used the 150 grit sand paper and used a palm sander i put 4 coats of stain and after letting it air dry for the entire day i put the gun back together and was amazed by the way the gun turned out i recamend using min wax stain for best results. haven't had a chance to shoot the gun maybe after the first of the year . the gun looks so real that if it wasn't for the orange tip it would look like the real thing.

"i received this gun on 8/19. at first i was impressed by the workmanship of the gun and the weight was that of the real gun i filled it with gas and was disappointed by the fps it seemed like a little low from the different videos that i had watched before i received it the stock looks like it needs to be sanded down and the color of the wood needs to be changed to the orignal dark color. i'm not sure if its worth the $198.87 that i paid but what the heck. the booklet that came with it was no good there wasn't a blow up of the gun like in other videos that i watched. look for my 2nd review at a later date. sgt joker.

"I bought this rifle a couple of months ago and overall it is ok, but only for a collector or maybe occasional use, it is NOT a main battle rifle. First, it holds barely any ammo, second rate of fire is only higher than a bolt action and you will get smoked by any AEG. If you just want to collect, buy it, if not save your money and buy a cyma AK for less money

"The first time I put gas into this gun, it leaked. So I tightened the gas nozzle and it seemed to be alright.
About a week later it started to leak gas again and would not stop leaking no matter what i did.
I expected a better gas valve system for how much this gun costs but unfortunately it just doesn't have the best valve or o rings.
Pros: Gun shoots really hot, about 380 with .43s
Gun is very accurate and the hop up is very responsive
Real wood stock and hand guard feel good and the whole gun has a good weight to it
Cons: Fill valve would leak no matter what i did and i cant find local o rings that will replace the old ones
It may just be my gun that has this problem (although other reviews say more or less the same thing about the valve) but I would be cautious about buying this until they change the gas valve and reinforce it with better o rings.

"I've had the real wood version for 2 years now and its fairly bad in all honesty not worth the money. Feels decent in the hand but there are cheaper and better quality replica pieces. All from out the box completely brand new the stock wobbles like all hell and including the hand guard they're poorly mounted onto the gun and chip easy. Shoots alright, the actual action of the gun is a bit rough but only lever gun I've used so not much noteworthy. The rear sight is useless as it just stays sprung up I took it off and never put it back on. As a wall hanger its overpriced and to use in a game I would honestly rather have a different brand but it works alright.
This was 2022, not sure if its different now, 3/10 gun overall spend your money elsewhere you'll be happier

"Got the gun and loved it, when the box it came in look like it went through a war zone and didn’t come with a user Manuel. Within 24 hours there where problems like faulty action and loose screws, within 48 hours screws had fallen out know where to be found, within the first week it had stopped working and the lever would not move. I would have loved it if it wasn’t so tacky.

"I had a lot of problems with it. I ordered the wood stock. It could just be my gun.
Cons:
1. I don't even get through a full mag before I have to reload the gas, and is hard to get gas in without spilling half of it.
2. The lever was wobbly and wouldn't stick down without a lot of force. (I solved this by filing the the button below the lever)
3. Whole gun is wobbly. ( fixed it a little by tightening down all the bolts)
4. Bad with a sling because of uneven weight and length.
Pros:
1. Dead accurate
2. Reload is awesome
3. Fast fps on first few shots
4. Looks awesome
5. Lever is cool
6. Fast shipping/good packaging.

"Rifle feels very realistic and smooth, however, it is slapped together very poorly overseas and shows it. Had the gun one day and the decorative brass plate on the buttstock falls off (the two holes in the wood seem to be too big for the cheap deco-screws). After having it two days, part of the loading mechanism falls out, full disassembly required. After fixing this and reassembling the gun, put the brass gas port screw back in (underneath the hand-guard) and the screw breaks immediately after becoming tight under hand pressure (shank and thread of screw was stuck inside). I only had the gun two days when these parts broke, didn't even get to take it to the field. Taking apart the entire gun makes it clear that this was poorly assembled in China. all the screws, inside and out, are composed of very cheap and brittle metal, making them lopsided and easily-strippable. I shouldn't have to buy my own replacement screws and bolts in order to make my purchase worth it. That being said, the gun feels great in the hands and is fun to shoot, until those low quality Chinese screws ruin your day when they strip and break inside the gun...

"Out of the box this gun looked beautiful, had great weight to it, good racking sound, and was just a site to behold in general. However, when I shot it (after cleaning of course) nothing came out the barrel! After around 20 minutes of research I figured out that it was a hop-up problem. So after fiddling with the hop-up for 20 minutes, I got it to shoot. Thing is, every 8th shot there is some form of jam it seems. Here is everything I've experienced in jams - Cant close lever of gun due to debris, cant pull trigger, cant pull back the hammer, and couldn't close the hammer. You can see how these would be a problem on the field. The gun didn't even come with a manual, something that would've been a great help. Lastly, the ring that holds the sling to the gun FELL OFF without me even attaching anything, imagine if I had it slung on my back and that happened, would have been in pieces. This gun is not a field gun, that's a fact, but it would be an amazing cosplay gun or décor, thats for sure.
Pros
Good weight to it
Great looking
Shoots great when it worked
Cons:
Jams
Complex
Not put together well (barrel is wiggly)
No manual
You cannot purchase any extra speed loaders for the gun

"A good bit to cover:
Collector's value:
Wow, this thing is beautiful. With real wood and a full metal construction, you would think you're doing the real thing. As a collector's item, top notch.
Field value:
Pros:
Hop up actually works well, unlike many gas guns
Holy velocity - Have to use .38g or above to avoid sideways curves when firing (this can be a con too)
Pretty accurate, especially for using iron sights
Very large gas chamber. Can probably get 75-100 rounds out of one fill.
Cons:
Loading is close to impossible. BBs get stuck in the loading chamber even with the speedloader. Normally takes 3 or 4 tries before you can load it correctly. Other times, BBs jam in the chamber, bbs fall out of the bottom of the gun, bbs break when trying to cock it, or you are unable to cock it.
Summary:
Potential issues with loading and chambering rounds make the gun non-skirmishable, even in a wild west scenario. Furthermore, these issues have you in constant fear of breaking your gun (if you manage to load the magazine). Collector's value is very high, and this could be fun for target practice, but it's too finicky to work with in a real game.

"Without a double the Worst airsoft purchase I have ever made. I got one the door on the loading port was broken and blocked the entrance so you couldn't load the gun ok send it back get another try to put gas in it realize you need a green gas extension to even pu t gas in it not trying to buy that.....had to cut off part of the gun to get gas in it!!! then the only way you can load bb's is with a proprietary loader if you lose that gun can't be loaded so I get it all loaded finally and it works i swear 20 shots then the guts of the thing literally started falling out. not designed correctly. It's a wall piece for hanging up not skirmishing. Evike customer service was great and ended up giving me a refund with minimal hassle.
.
Pros
Looks cool and pretty cheap for real wood model
Cons
Poor design makes it unusable
Proprietary loader
Requires gas extension

"I was very disappointed by it everytime i loaded anything into it the bb would go anywhere but the chamer and jam the gun i had it replaced and the replacement had different issues. While it still jammed it wasn't as bad as the first one this one has the bbs fall out when i cock it and 20/22 times did not load a bb into the chamber. I was excited to receive the thing but upon arrival very disappointed

"The fill valve broke during the first fill and fell into the gas chamber.

"I am at a loss for how this has 4.5 stars. Evike customers, do not buy this rifle. Give Evike your business but BUY SOMETHING ELSE.
This is probably one of the worst designs in airsoft hands down. Upon opening the box I found the fore end was missing a screw. Nice... In addition to that, the gas system developed a leak within it's first two fills. Yep... Two... It's now practically useless.
I was dumb enough to try to get some use out of this rifle even with the leak (which meant filling it repeatedly) but during that skirmish the stock FELL OFF. It's now lost somewhere on the field. I am attempting to return this item in spite of it's many missing parts, and I will give major props to Evike if they work with me on this, as this is clearly A&Ks fault, not theirs.
Very disappointing. Save your money and buy the KTW series rifles. They actually work and have a gas conversion on the market. Really would like to see Evike stock KTW products.
