"The gun itself worked fine but the drum mag on the other hand would not feed properly and the auto-wind was a piece of crap. The auto-wind would over wind itself and jam everything up. The gun was build seemed rushed the internals worked fine.(My stock came with a crack in it)

So overall don't waste your money on this gun unless you plan on it being a show piece.

"The Matrix MG42 at first sight seems to be the ultimate airsoft gun, heck, it's an MG42. To keep everything simple, here are the pros and cons:

Pros:
Its an MG42

Cons:
-Wobbly parts: Iron Sights, loose screws
-The Charging Handle barely fits and usually falls out
-The gun being unable to shoot BBs! Major feeding issues with the Magazine!

At first, the magazine seemed pristine, until you pull the trigger and the magazine fails to feed BBs into the gun. Also, the interior and wiring of the magazine is very poor. Shipped the magazine back, got a new one after 6 weeks and it still didn't work! I sent the magazine and gun to a professional for a repair. I still cannot tell you how hard the gun hits, but the rate of fire is unbelievable.
Well, if you like the MG42 buy it, but be prepared to spend extra time and money to get this fixed. With all the problems associated with this gun from my experience and other reviews, $450 is not worth the trouble. This gun should be flawless out of the box; I've had better luck with spring guns for my part.

"Well, overall this airsoft gun is not very well made. The gearbox comes in two pieces, (the motor and a few gears are in the pistol grip) and the bolts holding the pistol grip to the upper gearbox are sized too small. This meant that there was a little play in the two piece gearbox, and that play lead to my piston stripping to pieces after only shooting one drum mag off. The hop up is horrible, but then again it is a machine gun, so shooting straight is not the biggest priority. The auto winding drum also has its problems as well, as it can jam from time to time, and the motor in the drum is kind of weak. You can upgrade the drum motor for a stronger one, and I rebuilt the gearbox and bought some new machine screws from Home Depot that had a tighter fit,and stopped the play with the gearboxes. Since I rebuilt the gun, it is working allot better, but it still is a bit finicky with the auto winding mag. The best thing about this gun, is that it is an MG-42, at a somewhat reasonable price, vs 2200$ for a Japanese Shoei. This is great for reenactments, but is not the most sturdy airsoft gun, and I have owned quite a few. If you are fine with staying in a stationary position, and don't crawl through the dirt, then the gun is good, but if you like to be mobile, and get dirty, then be warned, as it does require allot of maintenance.

"This weapon is very deceiving. The feeding system is completely dependent on one little plastic piece. The internals are all very poorly manufactured.. It just seems like they tried to push this weapon out in a hurry without putting any real thought into it

Pros
It's a cheap mg42
It has an extreme intimidation factor
It makes heads turn

Cons
Woble in stock
Plastic gearbox
Faulty feeding mechanism
Drum mag is garbage and will go continuously
Screws are not locked in
Charging handle doesn't stay in place

I would not purchase this weapon, unless it's just a display piece
