CAA Licensed M4 Airsoft AEG Rifle by King Arms (Model: CQB / Dark Earth)

"Decent gun, favorite looking M4 by far but it has one major flaw: there is very little battery space. The recommender battery DOES NOT fit. I see some reviews saying it will be a tight fit but I guarantee the hand guards are not closing all the way. I went through 3 batteries trying to find one that fits and even used an unsightly pouch attached to the rails, ones that will work are:

- 9.6v 1600NiMH buttefly sticks (a lot of finagling but it works)
- small Lipo sticks 120mm and under in length

The only other issue is that the flash hider is a huge pain to get off, otherwise its a great gun. The markings on mine are different than in the picture but i like it better.

"Great gun, although I had to replace my delta ring with a metal one from WE-Tech because I dropped it (my one-point sling broke). I do recommend getting a new piston head, the polymer one included broke on mine and also a new selector plate ($10). It shoots almost exactly at 400 fps with a very good rpm. Overall, I recommend this gun to all my friends and I am very Satisfied. Also make sure to get plenty of spare mags because the included 140 round mag won't last long.

"I Bought this last year from Evike, And i have to say It is a solid weapon for CQB. It has alot of power and a high fire rate, and it Comes with an awesome flip up site!
The magazines are really great, though they never fire the last 3 bb's in the mag, overall a 4 out of 5, and here is why.
Pro's:
High fire rate.
High FPS.
Relatively affordable compared to other airsoft guns.
Easily modded.
Very aggressive profile.

Con's:
Wobbly stock and barrel that comes really loose, sometimes to the point of falling out. (Both easily fixed with a 5/64 allen wrench for the barrel, and a phillips head for the stock)
Be aware that certain undermounted attachments are hard to attach. (Magpull AFG is a pain to get on.)
But overall an excellent airsoft rifle, i hope this review helps!

"I got this gun several weeks ago and have had a few problems but they were easy fixes and did not require anything extra. To start with my entire outer barrel was a little wobbly; to fix this I simply tightened the screws located inside the handguard. Second my but stock was a bit wobbly as well; again I took the but pad off and stuck a screw driver into the stock and tightened the screw. The gun itself feels very solid and is a good purchase, I will say however be careful when using auto because the motor is in the grip the grip will heat up after continuous fire. For the price that I paid for it I would sat it is worth is. This gun is a starter style however, you can upgrade this gun to be the beast of your field.

"This is a great gun for beginners and for intermediate players. It is a good price and is not cheap quality.

Pros:
-Strong build
-Good FPS(CQB and field ready)
-Nice Length
-Adjustable stock
-Good accuracy
-Good rps

Cons:
-All polymer not a single drop of metal other than the gearbox and inner barrel
-The battery compartment is very small, I got the recommended battery and it is still hard to put in.
-The day/night sights don't flip one is just above the other
-It is kind of hard to put in the magazine

Over all a good gun just don't expect to do a quick on-field battery change

"So I bought this gun about a month ago and man this thing is a beast! I am kinda new to airsoft but this gun worked and made me feel like a pro I was getting so many hits with it. There are a few mentionable cons but awesome pros.

Pros:
Good rate of fire
Good FPS
Great construction
5.56 markings and CAA trademarks

Cons:
Sometimes the whole stock, buffer tube and all get wobbly and need to be screwed back in. My guess is because of the powerful gearbox and extensive use. The barrel comes a little loose too.
Motor needs adjusting after some simple use.

"Just received this gun and so far im very impressed. It is a fairly solid gun other than a very slight wiggle in the handguard (which doesn't wobble with a battery in it) and in the buffer tube but that was easily fixed by tightening the screw. The plastic is very good quality and is very sturdy. But I did run into the problem with there not being enough room in the handguard to fit my batter, I sorted it out by housing the battery in the upper half of the handguard above the outer barrel.

Pros:
Fairly solid
Great quality plastic
Looks amazing
Decent internals
Good performance

Cons:
Extremely limited battery space
Gearbox locked up almost immediately (partly my fault)

"The replica is quite good for the price, it's a bit picky with the magazines, the range is quite nice for a cheap AEg, the same as the grouping, but of course it would need some majot upgrades to make it run flawlesly.

The plastic quality is nice and the FPS are more than fine 385-390

The stock have some wobble, but nothing serious

Rails are made of nylon so don't stress them so much but it isn't any serious.

In few words it's a good AEg for beginners, outstanding perfomance for it's price tag and have a really good look (not common) i would just hide the CAA markings on the lower receiver, but that is just an aesthetics preference

"The part that holds the handguard on snapped.

"This gun was my second airsoft gun. my first was a nice but cheap gf76 from amazon. this gun was decent, with a good rate of fire, and pretty good accuaracy with a red dot i bought for it. after less than a year of use, the gun's gearbox wore out and the fire mode selector switch only did safe and auto (semi was broken). I put a new v2 gearbox, and a high speed motor in it which i fitted with a 11.1 lipo. after that it wasnt the same gun.

overall, the quality was okay, though the 9.4 was sometimes hard to fit in, and the front end wobbled a lot. but if its your first gun, its decent for the price. only thing id reccomend is to get a new hi-cap mag, or else you have to load the dinky plastic one with a speed loader (it doesnt have the little access hatch to pour bbs in)

"I would have to say that the metal gear box is very well made and also that it shoots around 370 to 400 fps with no promblem. Now the cons: the outer rail of the gun got really loose after 1 month it is so loose that you can turn all the way around.

Binafits: the outer barale is very solid and it is light weight for the price of this gun and the way it is made I would highly recommend getting this gun.

"I bought this gun in January went to my local field and played a few rounds. It worked great but I left and went home then a around 2 or 3 weeks later I pulled it out to go play but the barrel (outer) fell off with no reason to. I was confused but I took it anyways along side my other M4. I had the guys try to fix it well they did and turns out the delta ring likes to fall off/ twist off it then messes with the grip and screws you up. I ended up just leaving off the rails and delta ring and I'm currently using the rest of the rifle (both barrels, receiver and also the buffer tube) in a build but overall the gun is great and I love it the rail system is something I've never really seen before. Just make sure you want to go through the trouble of fixing the barrel assembly.

"I have to say, I had mixed feelings about this AEG. I love it because it's very unique but also hate it because of the issues I had with it.

The first time I brought it out to a game at Gampod Combat Zone I ran into issues within the second round. Granted nothing happened that caused the gun to malfunction, but the externals could've used a bit more care and thought. The outer barrel is unfortunately a three-piece barrel which is only held in by 2 tiny hex screws, not by the delta ring like most other AEG's, and those tiny screws came loose due to the gearbox vibrations. And even the delta ring isn't the best when it comes to securing the barrel because it's completely different from almost every other setup I've seen so far, you have to see it for yourself. But, these issues are very easy to fix, all you need is some soft loctite and you should be set. And when it comes to the hand guard, it's a mess. When I first put on the bottom rail, I noticed a major flaw in it. There is a large piece on the front of the rail that basically prevents you from slipping it off easily by pulling back the delta ring. In fact, I actually broke it off and was worried. When I looked at the instructions, it turns out that they specifically tell you to put the battery in first, then the bottom part of the hand guard AND THEN you screw in the rail. With that kind of setup, it's essentially impossible to do an on-the-field battery swap. I would recommend just using a dremel to cut off the front portion of the removable rail. Speaking of batteries, only ONE kind of battery will fit into the hand guard. Forget about trying to fit in a NiMh small type, nunchuck, or PEQ type battery. You have to go with the one that is recommended, which is a rather dumb design if you ask me. What happens when the battery isn't in stock? You're basically screwed until it comes back in. But at the very least, it's a very snug fit so you won't have to deal with a rattling battery, but if you choose a li-po you should have no issues. Another problem is the mag compatibility. The mag that it comes with is positively snug with little to no wobble and that's fantastic. The problem with that is if you use any other mag, they wobble like nobodies business. This thing is rather proprietary when it comes to certain things, and yet again, what happens when you can't find the mags that fit this thing perfectly? Oh yea, you're basically screwed. Another little issue that I had is that the selector switch is WAY too smooth. Some might not find issue with this, but I did when I was cornering and had to switch from my right hand to my left. My left hand kept bumping the switch and setting it at an off angle. I had to completely disassemble the whole gun to wipe away the excess lube that was around the area in order to get a more positive and secure click out of it. Did I also forget to mention that Most, if not ALL of the externals are polymer? Now, this could be a good and bad thing. Good because this makes the gun cheap and light. Bad because to some it may seem TOO light and items like the outer barrel and buffer tube might be the first things to break or have issue with. What I would suggest is getting a proper one-piece metal barrel and metal buffer tube to prevent much issue.

Now that the bad is out of the way, let's talk about the good. The gun may be light, but that will prevent much fatigue. This thing fires incredibly fast on a 9.6v and is rather consistent at around 390-400fps. It looks REALLY unique and has similar ergonomics to a Magpul M4. Not to mention that it has a King Arms gearbox and plenty of things that you can do to it to upgrade it. And you are getting it for $150 retail (I personally got it for $115 which is what it SHOULD stay for the rest of it's shelf life)

Conclusion: Get this gun, but do expect to swap out the outer barrel and a few other parts, clean up the extra lube inside to make things less smooth, and you'll have to get extra mags that are specifically made for this gun to prevent miss-feeding. For the price you are getting solid internals with slightly iffy externals, but then again, it's $150, what were you expecting?

"overall this gun was pretty good. the price was pretty good. About two months after I bought it, I started having problems with a wobble stock and rotating barrel. I barely used the gun in those two months and it had some major issues. Not sure if I would buy it again. But every time I called Evike, they were pretty helpful in finding a solution. Good company, just bad product.
