FN Herstal Five-seveN FN-57 Airsoft CO2 Gas Blowback Pistol (Color: Dark Earth)

"Used the gun at an indoor field today. Shoots true, recoil is satisfying but not overbearing. Mag capacity (22) is more than enough to run and gun if your primary is down. Chrono with .25s and a fresh CO2 cartridge was around 260, well within the limits of CQB fields. I got about 4 magazines out of each cartridge before I had to change it.

+Accurate
+Good magazine capacity (22+1)
+Sufficient recoil
+CO2 lasts pretty long
+Comfortable to hold one or two handed
+Easy to break down
-Safety is a bit sticky
*Slide sometimes goes forward if new mag is put in without one in the chamber
-Expensive magazines (True Nippon steel makes for $38 magazines)
-Magazine is where all the weight is, too heavy without mag, bottom heavy with mag
-Holsters are a pain to find, along with magazine pouches(If you don't want to pay for a kydex holster, you need a bigger cloth holster. Magazines are massive)

I'd run this as my sidearm any day. It's an excellent backup and primary weapon. Get the black one and put a CSGO skin on it!

"The replica feels solid in your hand and has a nice trigger response. The blowback has a medium kick and is overall very satisfying to fire.

One of the main issues I've run into is that, as the replica is plastic, the slide lock is plastic as well. I've run into an issue where the slide lock bends slightly and won't lock the slide. This is a common issue apparently and someone has gone ahead and designed a stainless steel slide lock replacement. It is 8 USD on shapeways and I'm expecting to receive that sometime mid-June.

Overall I'm pretty satisfied with it outside of the slide lock issue. Because of that, I really do wish that another company would come along and release their own variant. Unless something else happens down the line, I think I'll be using this for awhile

"I got this in a trade yesterday and have only used this in some backyard target shooting but from what I can tell, this gun is incredibly solid. I have came across a few problems; some just personal gripes and others legitimate problems.

pros
nice kick
looks sick
it's unique
it's a five seven, I think that alone should be enough
really easy to use and operate once you learn it.
good accuracy
not so good range (I had trouble hitting 100 ft, but it's a pistol and meant for room clearing so you're not gonna need the range.)
good quality polymer
feels solid.
clean and sleek looking white dot sights.

cons
magazine is bigger than I imagined, between the size of an MP5 mag and an M4 mag
a HUGE gas hog (I've had an APS ACP and this gun goes through more Co2 than that)
whenever the Co2 starts to run low, the slide can't make full cycles.
the mag release comes out a bit longer than I'd like but it's something that I can deal with.

over all this gun to me would be a 5/5 if it didn't have the efficiency or cycling problems, other than that this gun is great.

"I loved this gun when I first got it but it broke shortly after.

"Love the gun but mags are to expensive and does not feed at times

"this pistol is good i guess except after a few months the slide lock broke and now when i fire the whole slide fly's off

"This gun is great, for about a year or so, for my first gbb pistol, I was very pleased with how the gun performed, even though the rear sight fell off within the first month of month of use. aside from that, up until recently, the Five Seven, began to fall apart right in front of me, first, the feed nozzle would not return when putting a bb into the chamber, and there is no clear way to fix it, with time, the little piece that holds the return spring onto the outer barrel has fallen off and now the hammer will not even lock back, however, the overall worst thing about the Marushin five seven, is the fact that there are little to no parts for this gun.
I want to like this gun and it had a fair run of about a year or two, however when the gun begins to rapidly fall apart, that is where a line has to be drawn

In conclusion, the marushin five seven is a gun that is defiantly not worth the price but overall ok, not built to last over 2 years though.

Pros:

true to the real five seven

fairly accurate

looks great

nice short trigger pull

Cons:

not built to last

no parts to buy

hoppup locks

rear sight falls out

"Works really nice until it doesn't

yes that's vague but really, this gun was flawless until literally everything fell apart at once. First the magazine started leaking a little, then the magazine catch snapped like a twig, and then finally the rubber gas valve at the top tore a chunk out of itself. If you want this gun to last a while you should look for upgrades, if you can find them.

pros:
-efficient
-kicks hard
-it's a five-seven
-looks and sounds really good
-fun to shoot
-fits real-steel holsters
-full trades (sort of)
cons:
-lots of the fiddly bits broke for me
-rather dodgy internals
-rather dodgy external plastic (and if one more person says "ooh but it's a 5-7, its supposed to be plastic)
-weak and inaccurate for a CO2 gun. chronoed in at 200 fps with .25s (fresh co2) and can't really hit anything accurately past 20 yards
-hard to find parts and mags are a bit expensive

"God Awful. It exploded in my face after a less than a year of backyard use, never even took it to a game.

Pros: -Only 5-7 on the market
-Good recoil

Cons: -Crap Build quality (the mag is better built then the gun itself)
-mag is very picky on what BBs it wants to feed
-Crap Manufacturer support (contacted them about the gun exploding, never even got an email back)

Don't buy this. If you break it, the replacement parts don't exist, nether does support from the manufacturer.

"Dont even bother: if you crack your loading nozzle, there are NO spare parts.
by Broderick W. on 09/21/2015
"I bought this gun and had it for a month before the hammer stopped working. I really did like this pistol, it was fun to shoot, accurate, and held a lot in each clip. Since I liked it so much, I got a replacement and whatda ya know, the hammer lock broke AGAIN. This gun is overpriced, and WILL break. I wanted something other than a 1911 but I regret it. DON'T buy this gun. Try another model if you want something other than a 1911.

"Terrible, died after 2 weeks hammer stopped working and overall terrible quality. Don't buy this gun you have been warned. Just think about it using co2 in a full plastic gun will definitely put major wear and tear on it. I don't know what the manufacturers were thinking
