"This is a new release by CYMA. Very reliable gearbox, has a standard version 3 gearbox so it is easy to upgrade. Decent motor and shoots pretty hard and accurate out of the box. Come with high capacity magazine and most AK mag I tried work with it including the drum. Full metal body is a plus, the pricing is a plus, look and finish is perfect.

"Looks fantastic, very much like a real AK, especially if you put on a Russian style single-snap sling and a sidemount optic, The AKM sidemount is exactly like a real AK platform rifle.. Stock is cracked, no reply from Evike to my inquiry about it. The battery they pack in is 9.6 volts but instructions say use 8.4 volt. Battery last for about 150 shots, maybe due to the nearly worthless charger in this bundle.
The iron sights are sub par due to the shiny finish but that can be fixed. This seems to be approximately’ a NATO length stock, fyi. Very slight adjustment to hop up and it shoots straight and pretty accurate for airsoft. Very impressive and I need to get more AEG airsoft rifles, although short battery run time is a concern.
Overall very nice rifle. Might be better to get rifle only and get a good charger straight from Tenergy.

"This is my first AEG and I really like it so far. The instructions have a few points that disagree with the rifle and you should be aware. Instruction manual mentions a cleaning/unjamming tool that is not included, state that you should use 8.4 volt battery but Evike includes a 9.6 volt battery, and the manual shows how to remove the flash hider that doesn’t really come off. the pin for the flash hider is not spring loaded or not anymore.
Anyway, this rifle is heavy and the dimensions are similar to a real AK47. I added a single hook, Russian style sling, and an AKM side mount with a cheap RDS. The setup looks awesome and was pretty much on point when I test fired. I took the mount and sight off an actual firearm (a WASR-M, which is a Romanian AK converted to 9mm) and the windage is dead on. That means this airsoft receiver is pretty well made and conforms faithfully to dimensions of the real deal. Impressive.
On the down side, the furniture on airsoft AKs is not interchangeable with a real AK due to the way it must be attached and accommodate the airsoft motor and other parts.
Overall a great rifle. The 9.6 volt battery (matrix brand?) only lasts for about 150 rounds and the A26 charger is one of the worst products I’ve ever seen. Don’t bother with the bundle that includes this worthless charger. Buy the rifle, a battery, some of their very cool extra magazines, and get a good charger.
Also do your research and get the right weight pellets. Supposedly you should use 0.23 gm or heavier and NOT use the 0.12 or 0.16 gram ones because they are hollow and can crack or shatter when firing on auto mode.
If you want a real AK like me and can’t afford it, this airsoft rifle will probably scratch that itch for you.
One gripe, the butt stock is cracked near the tang screws, looks like the glue partly failed. Stock is a little bit wobbly. So far my emailed inquiry to Evike has gone unanswered but I don’t know how backed up they are. The cracked stock and the lack of response are unimpressive aspects of an otherwise really cool product. Hopefully all will turn out well.

"Just got this gun today. Excellent build quality. Everything that should be steel is steel, the wood is very nice as well. One thing to note is that there is a microscopic amount of wiggle in the lower front handguard and stock. When I say microscopic, I mean that I had to really try to get it to wiggle. Totally un-noticable when holding.
Pros:
+ Full Steel construction
+ Real Wood
+ Excellent construction
+ Doesn't sound like death incarnate when firing
+ Low price
Cons:
- Magazine feels somewhat cheap
- Battery space is somewhat tight (For a 2k mAh Lipo (7.4 V) that is ~the same size as a 9.6 V battery. A regular 9.6 v nimh its snugly but not too tight)
- No included battery
- No included charger
Would I buy this if I was looking for a sub $200 gun and had other stuff I might need to buy? Yes. Definitely.
Would I recommend it to a friend? Definitely.

"PLEASE YOU MUST READ THIS, THIS IS AN UNBIASED REVIEW OF THIS GUN. This item is definately one of my favorites so far. The only reason I have not given this gun a 5 star rating is because of the FPS. Your probably thinking 'oh god i bet it has sucky fps'. Actually it was the exact opposite of this. The FPS was chronographed at 460 FPS. This extremity is illegal to have at most fields so I would suggest buying a less stiff spring. The over-all build quality is exceptionally robust and solid. My observations of this gun have been that the magazine breaks and is cheap. THIS IS FALSE. The only reason for this is because of improper ejection or insertion of the mag. This will then result in a broken feed lip. If all procedures are followed correctly and it does not feed try putting either silicon or Rem Oil in the magazine. Another reason might be the improper use of infurior bbs which are not seamless.Overall 4 out of five stars.

"The CYMA AK74 is a great gun for the price.I tested the speed of the gun with 2 gram bbs,it shot at 450 fps. With a mounted a scope , a 2500 round auto feeding drum mag and a 9.6v battery the opposition in the field runs for cover. On the down side after around 30,000 bbs i stripped one of my gears.

"A great starting wood gun but needs some improvements!
the build feels solid the magwell felt fine no big wobbys like there 103 ak, tested on a few mags cyma, kingarms and matrix ak mags work good kingarms ak mag seem to be the least wobbly, the appearance of this ak is great and felt almost perfect, The trigger felt like a slow pull for each shot so not so snappy but even with 7.4v,s there felt no winding down in the gearbox with each shot it felt smooth for me at least.
The Wood felt a little on the cheap side i needed to sand it down on the hand guard a bit due to it being too rough on my hands, doing a dent test using 0.28,s 5 feet away and only 1 shot placed a large bb sized dent so the wood IS NOT durable, most of the parts seem to be hard plastic and a mix of steel.
Using 0.28's i got 1.17 joules
with 295 to 308 Fps
The MAIN con of this gun is the battery placement is in the stock which is strange most ak platforms use the dust cover as a main anywho it felt small and snugged i could barely fit in my 7.4v titan batterys so no long sticking it here, also BIG thing you have to SCREW the battery compartment open in the stock to place your battery INSTEAD of a button push/slide push/pull push
its not a bad gun for a starter! but i would suggest cyma improves the battery placements and the take down disassembly for it so i can easily replace the handguards and make there trigger and little bit more snappy

"WOW, i am amazed of all these good reviews, i mean when i got this gun it was amazing but like 3 weeks after i got it, it just completely fell apart, the selector switch got so loose to the point i couldnt even use it!
if you want a good gun, now seriously, go with the jg m4 enhanced, it is amazing thats what i have and i have had no problem, or jg g36c is also amazing, and the jg g3 is amazing by far, or just not this brand, cyma suck horribly, just go for a cheap good brand like jg or echo 1
Webmaster: Some Echo1 guns are made by CYMA. Selector switch getting loose is only 1 screw to fix. Please refer to our video and you can get your full metal AK working right away. For experienced players that understands that all Airsoft AEG will virtually never break and works better after you tune it, the CYMA AK series are still great buy as any other brand will charge you twice as much and the selector screw is still a selector screw....just my two cents.

"Just barely a week after I bought this gun I took it out to my local field. Within the first few mags through the gun my piston stripped, and my spur gear had a chipped tooth. After replacing those parts then came a bunch of problems with the compression as well. Even with that the selector switch for me never seems to line up properly when I put the gearbox back together. I'm hoping this is just one lemon out of the bunch, but all I know is that I am not buying another CYMA.
