"What can I say! This is the best drum mag I have ever used! Sure it is not electric powered, but that makes it that much more reliable and the zip cord winding is awesomely just as easy!

"This Drum Mag system is great, so far the bundle with AK, M4, and G36C all works good with the weapons I have as early as 2007.

"I recently Purchased the Angel custom Firestorm drum mag in m4. After using it a couple of times I was quite unimpressed. Straight out of the box it had problems with the gears locking up. I had to take the mag apart at least three times to release the gears. I was about to return it to Tapp airsoft(where I bought it). Before I got around to sending it back though I happened to read a review on the Evike website that mentioned putting oil on the pull cord. That gave me the idea of putting oil in the gears. I tried it and then went out and test fired it. I fired a several hundred rounds from the magazine without having a single problem from it. It is a great product as long as it is properly lubricated.

"The m4 adapter doesn't work, the notch the the mag release goes in, is half an inch to low, so it won't stay in, unless you make another notch half inch higher by drilling it out, but the drum itself is amazing.

"i bought this for my M27 thinking it would work. Unfortunately it does not lock into the mag well at all with out either altering the gun or the mag itself. other than that it seems to be well built and does hold a ton of ammo.

"I'm genuinely pleased with this drum. It feeds flawlessly and even when holding 1500 rounds still feels lightweight. The only problem that I had with mine is that the feeding hose on the inside tends to disconnect, and even though it is really easy to fix, still gets annoying. Easy to fix with a good gripping tape :)

"Tried it out today, it worked pretty good. Did not have load another mag that day. Reason why did not give it 5 stars was because it semi broke already after one game. What happened is the pul string knob came off and the cable went inside the mag gear system. Still working on the fix but should be fairly easy to fix the pul string it. Then it was feeding kind of weird but was using colored bb's and outcast day out, so thought o tell if it was feeding. But don't let deter you from buying regruadless this it did turn heads, and now a lot of PEople want it. A cons it did not all of m4/m16 style rifles. but overall satisfied with it.

"Excellent product. Feeds flawlessly although be careful not to over
wind the mag. Just wait until it begins to dry fire before winding.
Durable and compact. Adds little extra weight to gun.
Doesnt fit any AK's thus far but the M4 adapter works great
Haven't done any mods to AK adapter yet but will update if i find something
that works to make it fit and feed.
Overall good buy at least for M4 use.

"Everything I own uses M4 mags so I figured I would give this a try. I have had a few bad experiences with the auto feeder drum mags. This has held up great and requires little to no management in a game.
Pros: It is a flash mag! It feeds consistently, and there is no hardware to figure out. No batteries to change. Just pull the string every now and then. It is durable and it looks real good on any M4 platform. I have used it with my SCAR and it looks good, but it does not seat the same, so it looks like it is too long. But it runs great!
Cons: RoF can be an issue. My M4 and SCAR both have medium rates of fire, and this feeds great! I have an MTC 3 from Echo1 that I beefed up and it has a stupid high rate of fire. THis mag would miss a BB every 7-9 shots. I could heat the empty shot every time. It also had a problem with some guns that use M4 mags. It does not click into place all the way. My Masada uses M4 mags, but this mag does not click and it will fall out on its own. It might be a one off issue with my gun alone, but I have not had the chance to test it on any other guns.
Overall, this will meet your needs if you are running a base platform.

"Solid in theory, but I had to open it up to do some tech due to feeding issues after the first couple uses.

"I've ordered 2 of these. The first one doesn't push the bbs consistently. It would allow 4/5 bbs to feed then I would have to wind it again. I ordered it too long ago to return it. The second one works fine. I'm ordering another one to replace to nonworking on. Hope it goes well.

"This has nice built to it! I like it i would give it a five star if it was perfect when i received it but the fact that i have to disassemble it because its not pushing the bb out when i first tried it pulled the string couple of times and its not doing anything found out the hose where the bb runs inside was disconnected and it won't stay in place?really angel custom?i have to put teflon tape to make it tight and stay where it should be disappointed about that but it was an easy fix don't like waiting to get it ship back and replacing it as i dont want to wait longer than 5 days! But after that it worked and bbs are raining 4 to 5 pulls you can empty this drum mag.

"Just received my mag in the mail today, when I opened up the package the mag seemed a lot smaller than in the picture, a lot lighter than what you would expect too. Overall the quality is great; however, mine had one issue. The drum mag comes shipped with 2 different parts. The drum itself, and then the adapter part that you slide into the drum. The drum comes with the 2 screws needed already half screwed in so you can easily un-screw them and assemble your drum mag. Unfortunately, my mag came with one of the screws inside of the drum mag itself so when ever I tried to assemble it I only had 1 screw. The drum mag requires 2 screws for the adapter or it is installed at an angle which will result in a feeding issue for your gun if it even fits inside. I tried turning the drum mag upside down to get the screw out but it was stuck in there. Overall it seems like a good product, and I think i'll order another one and hopefully have better luck!

"Let me first start off with applauding Angel Customs for their amazing work with the creation of this product. Truly innovative and ergonomic design.
The Good:
1. Lightweight and compact outer design that lends itself to being able to carry multi drum mags without reach fatigue.
2. It's length is similar to an M4 magazine and the width is bearable (fits into an IFAK/USGI Canteen pouch).
3. The type of plastic lends itself to no creating much noise with the BB's at half a magazine.
4. It can withstand drops, bumps and scrapes without breaking the outer shell, flexible yet firm plastic.
5. The flash mag concept is brilliant.
The Okay:
1. The full retail price tag at $80 is on the borderline of being over-valued. The on-sale price tag of $55-60 is a much more acceptable range.
2. With a full wind, I get approximately 175-250 rounds shot before I need to re-wind.
3. I own 3 of these magazines and have played with them over the course of 9 months, once a week. One of them was one of the first magazines off the production line.
3.1 The oldest one I own has had feeding issues since day one, before the magazine failed completely. I had put approx. 180,000 rounds of .28 bb's through it within the course of 7 months average about 3000-4000 bb's per game day. When firing at 15 RPS, the magazine would constantly misfeed and cause an unwinding of the mag during a firefight, I have retired that magazine... With that being said, the newer one's hardly gives me that issue anymore.
4. It fits in multiple platforms: G&G Combat machine, Tippmann M4, Ares Amoeba
5. Some rifles, like an Elite Force Hk M27 IAR will need the box around the base of the magazine will need filing down in order to fully lock in the magazine.
The Bad:
1. After playing with this magazine for 7 months straight 1 day a week, using , loading and winding the flash mag as intended by the company, using all the correct steps, the steel pull cord frayed, jammed my flash-mag and snapped the wire. Thus making it unserviceable. I expected the cord to not snap at all considering the full retail pre-order price and the correct employment and use of the magazine. I expected it to work. All man made things break, but an expensive magazine like this should have had better wire/better materials used.
2. It doesn't come with a 2.5mm hex key to fix internal magazine issues.. If I wasn't around people who owned a 2.5mm hex key, my mags would have been down a while ago. I just don't see why this was never included in an $80 magazine for trouble shooting.
3. The feeding tube inside the magazine isn't glued, taped or fixed in place. If dropped, bumped or mishandled in anyway could potentially knock the feeding tube out of place and put you out of the game and potentially cost your team the victory.
After giving it a long hard thought, I believe the "Okays" and "Bads" outweigh the "Goods" enough to warrant a 3/5.
Most people reviewing only review a couple weeks or months after but I have almost a solid year of shooting and almost 250,000 rounds fired between all 3 Firestorms I own.
How could you guys at Angel custom make this better?
More reinforced pull cords so they don't fray and snap, reinforced feeding tubes so they don't fall out of place, come with hex keys for troubleshooting.
Thank you for your time and I hope we can work together to make this magazine the best drum magazine on the market.

"The Good:
- This drum mag is what a lot of people needed in the Airsoft community, and it's a very welcomed product.
- I applaud Angel Custom.
- I own 3 and have been using them for 9 months, every Sunday. In my oldest magazine ( I preordered it from Evike) I've cycled approx. 150,000 rounds of mostly .28's.
-They fit in a lot of M4 rifles to name a few: G&G Combat machine, Tippmann M4, Ares Amoeba.
- Body material is durable and can be dropped and not break.
The Okay:
-Price at full retail at $80 is too expensive for what we get.
- On sale price is fair: $55-60
- (Going at 15 RPS) The earlier models would missfeed and unwind in the middle of a fire fight. The most recent one I purchased didn't have that many problems.
- One a full wind, approx. 150-250 rounds are expended.
- I own an Elite Force HK M27, HPA, JACK and I had to shim down the magazine adapter at the bottom. Eliminating that box shape would lend it self to fit in a lot more rifles.
- Fits in an IFAK size pouch
The Bad:
- After about 6 months of 1 Game day a week, complying with all of the correct steps, following the loading guidelines and employing it way the manual states; the pull strap frayed and broke off. The wire is made of very fine/thin material. For the price paid, I expected no issues from this, but it frayed and broke and mad the magazine unserviceable.
- If the mag is dropped/bumped in a wrong way the feeding tube is dislodged and makes the magazine inoperable.
- The magazine doesn't come with an Allen/hex key in order to take the magazine off.
Overall rating: 3/5
All in all it's a good mag for casual players. But for more serious players, there needs to be a reinforced model that ensures the charging cable doesn't break and keeps the feeding tube from being dislodged and all models should come with a hex key.
Firestorm/Evike; Please get with me if you need any field testers and hopefully we can work together to fix these very crucial issues.
