"I have had this gun for about 9 months and used it 4 times.
pros-
great rate of fire.
feeds great with just about any mag I have used.
not too weighty.
nice markings.
Cons-
the wiring is a little week.
the Motor connectors kept getting disconnected from motor. had to solder the wires to some tiny washers and used the motors hood screws to fix the issue. but worth the effort.

"This gun is awesome, but it has many flaws for being a 380$ gun. Some of these problems are personal issues but some are not. To all of the cons there a many Pros and i will be sure to address them in this review.
I gave this gun a 4/5 star review because the cons are things that shouldn't be happening to a 380$ gun. I have owned this gun, sent it back to Evike because of a broken wire, and i have now received it back.
Cons (most of them have to do with the stock)- Wiring
-Butt plate
-fuse
-cramped battery compartment
-selector switch
-front, bottm-rail, screw doesnt screw in into rail(which causes outer/inner barrel wobble)
-length of wiring
Pros-ROF on 9.6v(20bbps)
-trademarks
-gearbox quality
-accuracy
-charging handle bolt lock feature
-realistic disassembly
-iron sights
-beautiful gun sound
-free black metal flash hider
-FN style Stanag type magazine
P.S. GET THE TAN VERSION!!

"When I first got this gun the both shipping and actual gun box was heavily damaged. But the gun was still in tact. The gun has an ok fps if using .25 the range is great
Pros.
Fps/rof if using 9.6 nun chuck
Built quality
Good weight not too heavy not to light
Price
foldable stock/calapisble
Cons.
Lower receiver is plastic but high quality
Charging handle doesnt lock into place sometimes
Small battery compartment
Hard to put and take out the battery
Fire selecter is a little annoying it doesn't do semi auto if u don't put it on full auto first
But plate is annoying

"This stock is infamous for breaking. Mine broke on the second day of skirmish use. Every butt stock is out of stock, cannot replace. Apart from the break, it's a really good feeling rifle. Shoots well. #scargang

"I bought this because my brother had one as well and I loved it. I wanted to upgrade it so mine would be better than his but this gun does NOT like to be upgraded.
First I changed the to full aluminum piston with adjustable FPS (SAT VVD), M135 and SHS Motor.
After firing it in my backyard a couple of hundred rounds the plastic cylinder head broke. Upgraded to Brass then.
Then the VFC sector gear broke. Sheered the first tooth of clean off and the piston's last tooth got punched into the piston cracking it inward.
Bought KWA gears and new piston. Reshimmed and tested again. Second piston broke off. Replaced that one and tried correcting Angle Of Engagment (AOE) and tested again. Third piston broke and gearbox got cracked. Motor set screw got lost and battery + wires overheat when firing +/- 80 rounds. And finally clear plastic saftely selector plate broke.
I really wanted an upgraded SCAR-L VFC because of how easy it is to disassemble for the adjustable piston. This all totaled to another $500 plus dollars now in trying to get this upgraded. To this day it's still not working and now I'm paying someone to help me fix it and upgrade it. Call me stubborn but I really want this particular SCAR-L as my main gun that's all suped up.
So word of caution do not upgrade this gun unless you are a extremely (and I mean EXTREMELY) experienced in upgrading airsoft rifles. And even then it still might not work due to either wires being to small a gauge, gearbox bushings (instead of bearings), VFC self shimming gears, spring rod being too long (I had to sand that down 5mm to get it to clear the sector gear with the new piston), supposedly weak gearbox frame. All in all I expected a lot more from a $400 dollar gun.
So unless your satisfied shooting 380 FPS (w/ .20g) or shooting 350 (w/ .25G) then just leave it stock. If it's stock indoor arenas should be great but large outdoor arenas you'll probably be at the mercy of people with better more upgraded AEGs. I'd imagine those people will have higher FPS and heavier BBs to shoot farther and straighter even in breezy conditions.
3 Stars cause it's great when it's stock, but upgrading it will probably cause it to break...

"Overall this gun is good. I wouldn't pay almost $400 though. The gearbox itself is great, and the gun seems to do well with a 7.4 lipo. However I have 3 major problems with it. First off the battery compartment is small. To top that off the fuse box is huge for the size of the wires. Basically if you aren't using a lipo you have to have the stock fully extended. My last complaint is that the hopup that comes in this gun is crap. Its made of cheap plastic and it actually resets itself when you fire the gun. Literally I have watched the dial turn when I fire the gun. Either way love the gun just not worth the money your just paying for the name.

"perfect replica rock solid.every thing is perfect except my luck.the flash hider came glued on the std barrel for some reason and took alot of work to remove.i cant use the flash hider it came with due to the removal but thats ok i bought a special flash hider for it so i didnt need the one it came with.also my piston broke after only firing about 300rds,the one metal tooth broke and all the pistons teeth were grinded.took a week to get the new piston also bought alot of upgraded internals so i dont have to change them any time soon.overall 3 out of 5 for an extra 10 bucks vfc could have put the deep fire piston w/titanium teeth(so i wouldnt have to),also have to say the accuracy and fire rate with this gun is amazing before and after i upgraded it.

"Overall decent gun. Unfortunately I dropped my gun from waist level, the stock hit the ground first, causing some internal parts in the stock to break, which rendered the stock useless and broken. There isn't an easy way to fix this issue, so the gun is now useless for me.
I would purchase a gun without this folding stock. Simply wasn't designed well.

"This thing randomly decides to let ammo roll out of the barrel or not fire some shots at all. Do not buy this to get your monies worth. You’re basically paying for a shell and half a working aeg
by Caleb B. on 07/27/2019
"Not a bad rifle internally, but the external parts quality should be much higher for what you're paying. On my first day using it the stock came loose and just fell right out.

"I do not like this gun. I saved up for a while to buy this because I broke my last one and thought it would be a good buy. its not. before I could even get to use it the wires tore out of the fuse and I had to jerry rig and it was shooting 380 at the field. I play cqb so couldn't use it. I wanted to do a high speed build but when I went to open it up I needed a .9mm hex key. had to go online and find one. haven't been able to use it because the wires are al jacked and I cant seem to get the ambidex on the left hand side to work. I thought buying a VFC would be good because they are suppose to be one of the best brands but I'm not impressed.
