"This is an amazing gun. The price may seem steep, but you get what feels like a $1000 modded gun for just around $300. It shoots super fast, accurate, and looks good doing it. After using it for a while, I would recommend a new hopup and barrel assembly, but that’s not too necessary. This is and has been my favorite gun in my collection.

"I got this as my first Airsoft rifle a few weeks ago. The rifle works great as a starter and a recommend getting it on sale. However, the battery cables(located in the stock) is by far one of the most average/subpar soldering job I've ever seen. If you aren't careful, you can completely sever the cables from the dean connector. For a near $350 rifle, one should be getting a very nice wiring job. I recommend either resoldering it yourself, or getting electrical tape and reinforcing the wiring once you get this rifle. This rifle runs better on an 11.1v battery and on .23g BBs, and I recommend using those specifically, but the 7.4v battery in the package deal is decent until you upgrade.

"So after playing 3 matches with this gun I knew it was already time to break it open and upgrade. It was loud and extremely slow for a 13-1 build . I was using a 7.4 as advised, I’ve had more then a handful CYMA gearboxes over the past 2 years and this one would have to be a mid tear . Only 2 ball bearings compared to the top of the line CYMA’s that come with 6 total . Same internal besides the EMG marking on the gears . After slapping a Lonex mushroom compression kit . ( note I did not have shims so only worked on compression) this thing is shooting perfectly and much quieter.
Still using a 7.4 Titan because I’ve still been able to burn out CYMA mosfets with a 7.4 . I do not recommend 11.1 batteries, but it does bring the trigger response up nicely. Just be ready to replace the mosfet. Be warned, these gearboxes need dremmeling work to fit a gate Titan MOSFET. Over all if you like the body and know what your doing this is a well balance rifle . Very solid and by far my favorite M4 . My ratting is based of out of the box performance.

"I have had my gun for about a year. I’ve replaced several parts so far and I am relatively pleased. My only issues are that the bolt release fell out with two days of playing and the hop up came broken. I bought the sbr version and the whole rail plus flash hider is 13 inches long. The entire gun is 31 inches.

"I have had this gun for about 5 months now and it is holding up pretty well. But the bolt release fell out somehow and the mag release sticks with certain mags.

Pros: accurate, durable, comes with a metal three prong flash hider that can be removed, and the quick change spring system is located in the buffer tube(the thing the rifle stock goes on), mosfet, and the mag it comes with is orgasmic.

Cons: bolt release fell out (probably my fault), mag release stick with certain mags, the owner manual is online and is hard to access with slow internet.

Ps will some one tell me how to access the mosfet

"I bought this gun almost 2 years ago during a sale for 240 bucks. That price was impeccable at the time but now it’s too much. Reason I say that is because the trigger unit has to be replaced; HAS TO. The price is too high for something that needs to have an internal upgrade, which most non-techy people can’t fix on their own. The micro switch snaps and can shoot on its own. I bought a gate titan to replace it, had TNT Airsoft install and grind the gear box shell to fit correctly. The stock barrel is ok but the hop up unit is junky. I bought the EMG x Retro Arms pro unit with a Prometheus purple bucking to replace it and it’s great (on the pro unit you have to sand down the release lever to let it fit mags better). Other than accessories and those 2 parts, the gun is fantastic and accurate. Best looking m4 I’ve seen in my opinion. No need to change gears to a dsg build, it is the most snappy gun I’ve ever tried. 30 rps on a stock gun is insane. I recommend this to anyone willing to put a little time and money into it.

"I just got this gun for Christmas, and was super excited. I read all of the good reviews and they where true!

The only problems I’ve had with it so far is the bolt release button not working, and the pin also fell out. (Possibly due to shipping) it was a simple fix nonetheless.

Another con is that the video at the end shows what magazines are capable. I have krytac 120 round magazines and they said it would fix good. But they don’t, although they fit it’s very ruff and hard to get in.

These are just things I noticed

"Review for the BLACK / SBR / 350 FPS. Fielded around 4 times back yard plinking so far with no upgrades.

Pros:
-Great trigger response and RPS even on 7.4 lipo.
-Deans battery connector
-rotary style hop up adjustment.
- relatively accurate
-solid feeling upper, lower, and handgaurd
- stock has plenty of battery space and is very easy to open
- no issues yet with micro trigger (knock on wood), but I’m only using a 7.4 lipo battery.
- included 200 round mid cap is good and I wish they sold them separately (I haven’t found them yet anyway under cyma or emg Helios brands)

Cons:
- on my 2nd time fielding it, it chronographed low around 270fps, but I fixed it with a new cylinder o-ring and super lube. It shoots around 320 now. I assume a new cylinder nozzle with oring would improve FPS closer to 350. The stock nozzle doesn’t have an o-ring.
- stock wobbles but could be fixed with some tape shimming.

Overall this is one of the better out of the box performing guns, and a excellent bang for your buck when caught on sale for low $200s.

"This gun is amazing. The rps is really fast and it feels really good in your hands. The only down side to this gun is that it doesn't do great at distance. I mostly play outdoors, so distance is normally key. It will definitely shoot pretty far, but not consistently. Overall though, this gun is great.

"pros
-External build is nothing grate but it's an m4 with okay trademarks
-gearsbox is well built expect for two things(noted in the cons)
-Deans out of the box
- comes with 130rd mid cap
cons
-Mosfet really sucks on this gun I blew it out with only one day of play as well as the new batch of these have a dammer style piston head and cylinder head they don't hold much of an air seal
-To put an after market mosfet does require so modification to gearbox specially the where the screw sit in place to hold a Gate Titan or Leviathan

besides the cons I'd honestly give the gun 7/10 its good but it could be better

"This gun is great! I have noticed it shoots very well doesn't jam often and fits with most M4 mags! Although sometimes when I am shooting my bbs (0.20 Gram) my shots will miss my target (Veer to the right, left, up or down etc) although not very frequently.

"I've had my Helios Carbine AEG for a few weeks now, and unfortunately, I have to report that the micro switch did indeed die on me. I probably put somewhere around 3000 rounds through the gun before it gave, but it did give nonetheless. The rest of the gun is pretty fantastic, can confirm the ball bearings and cnc 13:1 gears in the gear box, good quality there (A total pain in the @$$ to put back together), the receivers feel awesome, and the weight of the weapon is very similar to that of it's real steel counterpart, furthermore, the entirety of gun feels very well made, from the internals, to the exterior. The firing of the weapon with its stock electronics was incredibly snappy with my Titan Power 11.1 Lithium Ion battery, and capable rps on full auto is pretty wild, it goes through ammo much faster than you would anticipate, and is amazingly satisfying to spray. The accuracy from around 100 ft was pretty decent (Carbine), nothing to complain about there, I found that using .2 gram bbs jam up in the hop up when fully adjusted, but .23s had no problem clearing the hopup fully adjusted. food for thought. Overall, very happy with the weapon in general, but back to the glaring problem of the micro switch. It's total trash. Perhaps this is partially due to using an 11.1 battery, and arcing was occurring between contacts, but I'm not entirely sure. I was planning on replacing the electronics with a Gate Aster, but further on in the future, the premature failure has caused me to buy an aster last minute, right before a big game too. I have high hopes that I'll be able to achieve even better performance with that unit.

TL;DR
Amazing weapon, aside from the micro switch failure, which seems to be a common problem. Be prepared to replace the electronics.

"Gun is great until the trigger switch breaks on you

"Very impressed with this gun, outperformed what I expected it to (Though I do have yet to take it to a match, hopefully doing that this weekend!). I am however disappointed at the lack of a proper manual, as I don't have any idea which way to adjust the hop-up, up.
