First day i got it i owned airsofting. this is definately a good buy. You will not be disipointed. the battary i find best is a 9.6v 2000 mAh. "This M4 is the combat machine killer. The body is a sturdy nylon-reinforced polymer and I have never had problems with it through multiple skirmishes and backyard games. The internals are on-par for this price point and are more than acceptable. If things break, they are easy to modify. The pre-installed MOSFET works well, and the micro-switch significantly improves trigger response, making this replica feel like a much more expensive rifle. The M203 has minor problems with it's firing pin being too soft, but there are solutions to this and most grenades still work with it. The hop-up and barrel are poor, but most are at this price-point and a simple investment of 20-30 dollars per piece will instantly make this gun solid and it will compete with the best. Overall good purchase.
PROS:
Sturdy body with solid weight
Decent gearbox and internal components
Great trigger response
Easy to open and modify
Accurate for the price
Cons:
M203 is picky with grenades due to a soft firing pin
Hop-up is budget, and can have trouble with heavy weight bbs and can be damaged easily.
Sluggish RPS

"Best stock aeg I have ever purchased for $100 bucks.
This gun has a stock mosfet and micro trigger switch that comes with it and really makes all the difference. Every shot is crisp and consistent. There is absolutely no gear whine and just sounds so much nicer than any of my friends.
Some pros:
-mosfet (so you can use lipos)
-micro trigger (crisp responsive trigger)
-quick change spring (makes opening the box 100 times easier)
-under $150!!!
-metal outer barrel
-metal trigger, mag release, bolt catch
-the stock piston has metal teeth
-decent gears with an abs plastic delayer chip
-overall lightweight construction (plus for me)
-upper/lower reciever and pistol grip are a nice feeling durable plastic
Some cons:
-the buffer tube, stock, and hand guard are cheap crappy plastic, I replaced all those parts
If your looking for a new build platform, or just getting your first gun you will NOT regret buying this aeg

"I love this rifle i will say that the gearbox has to be modified or changed if you plan on using gate titan. Or at least on the one i purchased which said it was a v2 but eh not gonna complain. I have played several games and it out of the box was very fun to play. I put a prowin hopup with a flat hop and a madbull 6.03 tight bore as well as a gate titan. I give this a 5 out of 5

"The gun shoots fantastically and is very solid, so 5 stars. FPS is solid and can play outdoor and most indoor field around 350 FPS. Solid gun, least solid part would be the stock, but other than that you are golden.
But you need to hear about this part of the package as a customer-
The model I got was the URX3.1 12" and the spare BAMF magazine DOES NOT fit in the gun. I do not know why they send this spare midcap magazine with this gun. Maybe it worked with other models, but not this one. The midcap magazine won't stay, it just falls out. Even if you try to file the square to get it to fit, it still won't feed. Only the high cap magazine works. I contacted Evike and explained the situation and they are now sending me another high cap magazine, but my question is why include it in the package in the first place? Do they really not know that this midcap magazine will not work in this gun? Hard to believe. I had to wait about a week and a half for them to finally ship a different mag.
Poor performance on this part of the package Evike. If you didn't know this mag worked, I hope you do now. I know for a fact I'm not the only one with this problem! So despite not being granted a midcap, it is a good purchase.
Great gun for the price, I know everyone says it is a great "starter gun" but honestly it is just a good gun in general no matter how long you have played airsoft.

"Yeah, this gun is dope. Took it out to the field for a the first time a few weeks ago and it did everything it needed to.
Pros:
- Nice and light
- great trigger response
- shoots really hard (like, almost too hard for some cqb places)
- it just looks so cool. I got the tan cqb-r and it just makes me feel like a spec ops dude
Cons:
- the stock kinda sucks. Still works just fine and it's solid, but the quality isn't great. Probably gonna switch it out
- full auto is a little disappointing. I couldn't tell you the rof for sure, but it wasn't nearly as high as I thought it'd be
- front flip up sight isn't great either. It's super hard to flip up, but who really uses their sights while airsofting anyways?
In conclusion, this gun is great and it'll be even better when you upgrade it

"I have purchased and used 3 of these Matrix guns and they work flawlessly after many trips out to the field. I use them primarily as loner guns, but honestly I would not be against using one as my primary. Sure it polymer, but it stands up with the use. I am not too impressed with how a gun looks, but rather how it performs. You can’t beat the performance for the price with all the quality parts that are in the gearbox and hop up. Loving that micro switch trigger and built in MOSFET! I am seeing other AEG’s have so many issues (Lancer Tactical, APS, and even G&G) with holding up over time. This will be my go to AEG from here on out!

"This thin competes with my $350 Krytac SPR MKII Trident, this gun is slept on and more people, including experienced people should get this

"So far so good.... I just got mine today and shot it around in my backyard. Taking it too the field next weekend.

"I'm an airsoft noob but was ready to join my son in playing the game. I purchased this Matrix M4 at the Evike pro shop in Spring, TX. I knew I wanted something better than "toy grade" but didn't want to go crazy. The staff at the store had nothing but great things to say about this gun. The stock spring did run hot at the indoor range so add $10 if you need to bring it down to 350 fps or below and another $50 to get you going with a battery and charger.
I purchased the FDE model and it looks legit. I did pay more at the store, BUT that's because they'd already done some custom work on it; metal barrel, integrated "suppressor", metal quad rail and collar.
PROS:
Solid Construction
GREAT value for the $$
Upgradable
Accurate out of the box
Looks super cool
Metal magazine (runs like a champ!)
Metal gearbox and G2 micro switch
CONS:
No sling points
For indoor play - ran nearly 400 fps out of box. So, had to spend another $10 for spring (but it was an easy swap!)
No battery/charger - add another $50 to price

"Stop thinking about it and just do it, . . .
This wasn't my first airsoft gun, or even my third one. However, I wish it would have been my first.
Don't be scared off by the non-metal full body. This is still built very well. I admit, I bought this gun for the internals. Though, just how it is right out of the box, it has performed way better than my more expensive stock guns. This thing is truly a laser.
Pros:
Accuracy: I have guns with tight bore barrels in them that this shoots just as accurate as them.
Internals: With the reinforced gear box and the built in mosfet you can run a 11.1! When you're trying to get that extra advantage, it's the little things that add up. With the added fire rate you get from this gun being able to run an 11.1 inside of it, coupled with the accuracy = laser!
Light weight: I wasn't sure how I would respond to the lighter weight, as I typically like the full metal feel. Let me tell you, I was pleasantly surprised. I sometimes run with a riot shield. If I choose to, and have a couple times, I still can with this gun. I still feel confident with my shots only one handing this weapon. Did I tell you about the accuracy yet??
Additionally with the lighter build I am able to equip different attachments to this gun that I previously haven't with my heavier ones. I added a double clip for my 460 round flash magazines and it shoots like a dream. If you think about it, adding nearly a 1000 rounds with two full metal magazines can add quite a bit of weight to a load out. But with this gun, it honestly doesn't matter. I honestly don't really have a use for my rig anymore, lol.
Price: Whether you're buying this gun as a project for the internals or needing a gun that can truly compete with the 500 dollar price range ones. This is the one for you. It has a mosfet, it has a electric switch trigger for quicker response. It has everything those guns come with. I really was skeptical about how good this gun would be for the price. Let me be one of the many that tell you this. For what you get, this is truly the best deal out there currently.
The first time I took this out to our buddy's field where we play, I easily had my best outing.
Cons: It's a little smaller than I thought it would be. I bought the 8" variance. If you want something closer to the real size feel, go with the 10". However, with mine being as small as it is, it fits nicely in my backpack so easier travelling.
Honestly no others come to mind. Yes, it isn't full metal, but if other guns sacrificed externals for better internals like this gun did, I would buy them all. Again, even if you drop it, it'll hold up. It's a very strong polymer. They use these for rental guns at arenas out in California. One, it means they hold up well. Additionally, it means they perform well. Arenas aren't going to give you a gun that doesn't perform at least in the same realm as other guns people bring in from the outside. They want you to come back to spend more money.
I even had other friends use this gun for a couple matches to ensure the performance wasn't all in my head. They all did well with it.
You're getting this far into my review and haven't clicked cart / check out?!?!?!?!? What are you waiting for??????
