"I'll give it 4 out of 5 as it is a good alternative for expensive (and plastic) tokyo marui 1911s. Full metal as advertised, but not very good metal. Aside from the slightly worse exterior comparing to a TM model, the biggest difference is that even both models are single-stacked 1911 replicas, TM has larger capacity magazines. I haven't encountered a magazine issue yet, and I'm operating it under propane instead of green gas. With proper maintenance and Evike support it's reasonable to get a replica for ~100 dollars;

"I have been waiting a while to make this review as i got this item 2 and a half years ago for my 13th birthday.
I did not buy this on Evike but rather at my local store (Prefair) because i live too far and the shipping currency change would end up costing a fortune.
I paid 220$ CAD (210$ USD) and, in the box recieved the pistol, one silver green gas mag, one extended barrel (about 2 inches longer than the receiver), one mock suppresor and the instructions manual.
The gun itself is actually very good quality especially from we-tech and is full metal. Disassembly is very easy and standard for 1911 models. Adjusting the hop-up is fairly simple as well. The only problem is that sometimes, when you shove the mag in too fast in the magwell the catch doesnt do its job and the back of the mag stops the slide from going forward. This is stopped by simply getting a better spring in the magazine catch or by manually pushing down the mag from the top of the slide.
The two mags i own for it have no leaking issues but, however one of them had its follower break after i had dropped it whilst trying to reload and i had to replace that, for a cost of 5$. The other mag had one of the pins holding the baseplate break when i dropped the mag in the grass so beware of letting the mags fall and just get a dump pouch.
With .25 bb's and enough gas to go through about 20rds i get 325-ish on my first few shots and drop to 300 on my last shot. if i wait for the gas to reheat however, the shots dont drop lower than 315 fps.
I only wish that we-tech provided the following pieces/items:
Metal magazine follower
Metal Magazine lips
Extended magazine
Stronger Magazine catch spring

"Great gun for its price ! Good quality body ! Good performance !
For those people who are buying this gun, some of the GreenGas/Propane cylinder cannot inject the Green Gas into the mag as the hole is deeper than the standard pistol magazine. Yet some cylinder with the longer injector will work well for the mag.
*tips* buy more mags for better performance, the magazine doesn't take much BB, so you will need to reload pretty fast when using this pistol

"I don't know if it's just the gun I got but I've had a few problems with mine, the outer barrel came loose and fell off, the nozzle kept getting stuck even with lots of silicon, piston o ring was on backwards and caused the slide t get stuck, the slide also got stuck on the hammer, btw the magazine are super cheap, one mags follower broke, one mags feeding lip broke, and on the third, my green has can cant reach the inside to fill the mag.
Pros-
Great FPS
Exceptional Accuracy
Threaded barrel
Easy maintainence
Recoil and solid sound

"I purchased this gun from evike quite recently and right out of the box i was very impressed; though it is my first GBB, i was still quite pleased. In the box, before i even picked it up, i noticed the footplate on the magazine was loose. Being new to GBB 1911s, i had figured that it wasn't much of a problem. I filled the mag with green gas and .20g BBs and the gun functioned and shot perfectly. I noticed, however, on the spare magazine i purchased, the footplate was NOT loose. On the mag that came with the gun, about four uses later, the footplate was even looser and the spring was resistant when loading. All from JUST shooting the spring knob was broken already. The spare magazine i purchased functioned properly and had no problems. Aside from magazine problems, the paint scratches INCREDIBLY easily. But that's just cosmetic, the rubberized grip is super comfortable, the skeletonized trigger and hammer look super cool, and the USMC insignia on the side of the grip is also a great feature. I took the gun to an airsoft field a few days later. I was gentle with the gun and had not dropped it and i noticed that the slide would get stuck while reloading. I learned that the air nozzle was loose already and would move out of place when reloading. All in all, i'm sure once i get it fixed and i purchase more mags i'll have a great time using it.
Great gun and worth the money if you know what you're doing.
Pros:
GREAT weight
AWESOME look
Very POWERFUL
Good cost
Not much of a gas hog at all
Threaded barrel
Cons:
Magazine trouble right out of the box
Easily scratching paint
Air nozzle becomes loose easily (must just be mine)
Beaver-tail is hard to hold down with gloves

"I got this gun almost a year ago. The paint on it is easy to scratch, even if you just use it to fire in the backyard itll chip. Th3 slide will scratch the paint of the barel. It looks great and feels great but requires maintenance if you plan to use it alot. It wont perform as nice as a TM but with the right tune-ups shes a keeper. The MEU mag is somewhat anoying as you need an adapter to fill it and yes the botom plate does scratch up easy too.
pros:
Weight and feel
price
more authentic then hi capas
6.03 ib
cons:
Bad paint job
Meu mag adapter needed

"I recently bought this from a friend for $10 and that made my day! It stopped working for him so when I took it home, I opened it up and it was dirty like heck! All it needed was a little cleaning and lubricating and now it works like a charm! The bad part about it is it has leaky mags :( And the little plastic lip on the mag breaks easily. Paint also scratches easily but it gives it that "used" look. Sights are a little loose too. One day I was shooting it and for some reason the outer barrel just fell off. A little super glue fixed that problem. Overall, definitely a good gun for the price.
PROS:
can take a beating
decent fps, 300
nice metal construction
CONS:
paint scratches
loose outer barrel
bad mags
Overall, it's a nice side arm and reliable too. There are some things I would change but it's fine the way it is.

"This gun is pretty heavy, but it's my only gas pistol so I wouldn't really know. It's got a good recoil, and it's not really too bad of a gas guzzler. I've used it in multiple battles and it's never failed. I was able to scare my friend into running from about 60 feet away. My friend shot me by total luck from about 30 feet away in the elbow and it stung.
Pros:
Doesn't use all that much gas
Good range
Hurts
Accurate
Cons:
Not many rounds per mag (but that's with all pistols)

"It's a good pistol for the money, but after 2 years, I have to replace all the internals. Springs, air nozzle, and a few other upgrades to customize it. It's sturdy and reliable, but it will break down. No airsoft gun will last forever.
Pros:
- Lasted a few years before "breaking down"
- Good bang for your buck
- Metal with a decent weight
- Easy to find new parts and upgrades
Cons:
- Lanyard hook seemed very weak
- Air nozzle quality isn't good (buy an angle custom nozzle with the gun)
- Recoil spring and guide rod system can be improved to prevent the slide from jamming

"I have used this pistol for quite some time now. I'll just jump into the pros and cons about it....
Pros:
NOT much of a gas guzzler
Very nice finish on gun (TAN)
Somewhat of a weight (not to heavy not to light)
Good kick (depending on how much gas you charge the mag with)
FPS is really nice for indoor
Has a hop-up
Has a good accuracy (can be upgraded to do better)
Makes people say "Ow!!!" (could be con)
This gun can be upgradeable and the sky is the limit!!!!
Cons:
The barrel will shoot out (could've been mine) but you can fix it by using thread lock (Locktite)
Cleaning and lubing will defenitaly be required for this pistol (gets dirty fast! , air nozzle will push forward, gets jammed, etc)
These are pretty much all (the cons are more or less a bad thing)
DON'T LET THESE CONS CHANGE YOUR MIND ABOUT PURCHASING IT......THE CONS ARE VERY MINOR AND SOME MAY NOT HAPPEN TO YOU. IT IS VERY RELIABLE AND WILL MAKE AN AWESOME PRIMARY / SECONDARY!

"I bought this gun about 3 weeks ago, and i have to say this is the most relistic gbb pistol ive ever seen.
Pros: full metal
rubber marine grips
perfect blowback
VERY GAS EFFICIENT!!
Cons: Mag breaks easily!!
chamber doesnt come back when about to shoot most of the time
lanyard easily breaks off
paint chips
left safety wobbles
Conclusion: In my opinion this is still an exelent gun and i highly reccomend it. but if you want something more high quality and more reliable, look at another brand.

"I've had this gun for just a few days, and after some bench-tests and stress tests, I definitely give my approval. However, just a heads-up to people buying this gun, this gun's magazines take A LONG time to fill. When I originally got the gun, I filled it with a 10-second burst, which is usually sufficient to fill my 1911 Hi-Capa's mag. However, it wasn't enough to get anymore than 2 shots off. I called Evike's customer service (Kudos to them btw), and the helpful technician told me to use 5 bursts of 5 seconds to fill each mag, and this worked wonderfully.
As for performance wise, I'm highly impressed. It's accurate out-of-box, shoots a consistent 320 FPS with .20 bbs, and has a nice smooth trigger pull. The only gripes I have are that it is a GAS HOG, its might be a bit heavy for some people (it's a touch heavier than my Hi-Capa, but I like this feature), and it doesn't feel nearly as well built as my Hi-Capa.
But aside from these cons, I find this gun to be VERY impressive. It performs well, it's relatively inexpensive, and it holds up in performance and stress tests. Happy Airsofting!
