"Cool, so it's not gonna break or anything? how do you clean guns, by the way. I had an MP5 (that i bought from Big 5, sadly enough), I just want to get a good, sturdy, gun that will beat down the competition. As you can see, i'm new at this. The highest FPS gun in our group is a 460-500 sniper, but it only holds 30 shots. What is a good, sturdy, low priced (under $200) high FPS (400+) gun? Thanks for the help!!

"This is a super cool gun! Standard JG quality you can trust.

For all the new airsoft players: GET A GOOD BATTERY WHEN YOU BUY A GUN THAT "COMES WITH A "FREE BATTERY".

Airsoft electric rifles don't come with batteries unless it is JG / Echo1 / CYMA. Tokyo marui, ICS, CA, G&G, G&P and even some chinese brand don't even include batteries. Its for you to buy the battery you want. The battery that comes FREE with any airsoft AEG are just standard batteries.

"Jon, version 2 is M4 / MP5 gearbox. It is a bit wider.
Verion 3 gearboxs are for AK / G36C, it is a bit longer.

The difference is: Shape, so they can fit in different gun type.

It is not like Version 3 gearbox is newer than version 2. Some airsoft websites might say so but that is because they have no idea what they are selling. Which is why I only trust evike with high end stuff.

This rifle is full metal receiver, RIS, stock tube....scope mount....so,its the mp5 with the most metal parts you can find.

"When I opened this gun the front was all metal except the outer barrel the mag it comes with isnt so great but it works, this gun shoots about 390-400 average, for me this thing is pretty small beacuse im 6 ft but other then that it is great

pros: full metal ris, good sights, and the battery box is very help full.

cons: a little front heavy, ris cuts ur hands if u dont use a grip, and mag is plastic.

Hope this helped :)

"This has the most complete 416 style look (or 614) for real collectors, the RIS and the crane stock is a must have.

If you open it up, you can see that the full stock, retractable stock, JG, echo1 are identical.

So if you are picking a 614 type JG, it is a good choice. Just deicde if you want the crane stock (better look, but harder battery installation) or full stock (holds the biggest battery, easy battery installation, but less compact) or the retractable (you get the fully retractable stock, but you need to use a PEQ2 box)

"This is a great rifle. Very stabled front end with no wobbling. Slick / sturdy looking RIS system. Love the Crane stock and motor grip. Powerful and accuracy is nice.

The body has JG logo on it.

"I wish I could give this 6 stars, but i cant so, 5 out of 3 ill just say.....

This gun has amazing internals, externals, only thing it lacks is barrel length, It takes a weird kind of out outer barrel so no barrel on the market will fit.
(that I have found, if you do e-mail me [email protected])

Quality is an extremely impressive perk on this gun. I have taken it apart for upgrades, minor fixes, and painting about 100 times and no problems. i also have a 9.6v batter on i and a assortment of mags.

In the end buy this or you might as well run around with a spring pistol .

"I personally like the retractable stock model over the full stock for it's compact design. The grip battery box is a very neat design, I modefied my vertical grip with a metal mount using a lipoly and the gun shoots amazing now. Still cannot believe its only $150 with metal body and RIS. The classic army RIS or ICS metal body alone cost that much...

Shoots 405 fps out of the box on mine. Very powerful and accurate. Would definitely buy a better battery and just use the free battery as a spare.

"I got the gun a few days ago and I have to say, it's amazing. It helps to buy a smart charger and the matrix bb's but even without it them the gun performs very well. I can shoot up to at least 120 feet accurately with just the iron sights on the gun. There is no better gun for the price.

"JG have very reliable internal. Worked on gearboxes for many years and I'd have to say they done a very impressive job and the price is amazing. Thats why everyone at the field is running a JG now. The gearbox has better air seal than Classic Army and other brands and is more "marui compatible" than my classic army. The external finish is pretty nice other than that it does not have a metal body. If my body ever breaks I will go buy a G&P Zombie Killer metal body! At this time I don't mind not having a too heavy gun.

Give it a five because:
Come with a unique motor grip, love it more than standard grip.
The RIS looks nice.
Over all very solid and accurate.

The gun is a bit front heavy. I had the choice between this and the crane stock model which will be more balanced weight, but battery is much easier to install and switch on this model with the peq box.

"Pro:
-Crane stock is much better design than a Classic Army crane stock. More room and looks more authentic.
-Standard JG gearbox. Pretty reliable.
-400 fps out of the box.
-Hi-CAP magazine.
-Very solid RIS, no wobbling.
-Balanced weight (battery adds weight to the back, offset the RIS in the front)
-Accurate.

Con:
-Installing battery on a crane stock is more work than on a full stock or handguard.

"This is a very solid AEG by JG. The crane stock is a new design replica of the Hurricane crane stock (much more room for batteries). Thats a plus because most crane stock today either don't fit a 3000mah or is very hard to fit a 3000mah battery.

Not sure if the previous review had a lemon but I havn't had problem with this AEG for months. If you know your gearbox technically an Airsoft gun won't break, so it really comes down to reliability of the brand. JG gearboxs are pretty reliable from reviews everywhere. Air seal is nice and the price is unbeatable. Everyone on my team have a JG even just to have as a backup weapon.
