CYMA Standard CM048 AK Airsoft AEG Rifle (Model: AK74N / Add 9.6v NiMH Battery + Charger)

"let me start off by saying this gun is AWESOME!! Evike is a fantastic store and has great prices on all their items. Anyway this gun performs great, i currently use a Matrix Tenergy High Output 9.6V 2300mAh Ni-MH Custom Type Battery which is here for $32.00 and i barely fit that into the full stock. unfortunately you can't fit a large type into the stock. The real wood and full metal construction really is amazing. CYMA have outdone themselves with this gun. I havent had a chance to chrono this gun yet. this gun is a must-buy, and for $188 is a steal since the internals are good, externals are so high quality and the wood isnt the cheap kind either. GET THIS GUN!!!

"This gun is amazing. This AK is extremely accurate and powerful. I did have trouble at one point though because something happened with the battery. My cousin charged it on my smart charger's "1.8" setting instead of the ".9" setting i had it on. This gun is very heavy. It is so powerful it put a whole through some of my wall. doesnt come with rails and cant find ones that i am sure will fit this. currently duct taping laser and flashlight to it. LOL

"I have seen alot of AK's and shot alot of Airsoft guns, but this gun tops them all, I absolutely love it! The body is SOLID, no wobble(which is a huge thing for me), the fps is above 400 and shooting at about 170ft, very nice wood, metal hop up chamber! The only complaint i have about this gun is the magazine, it wobbles and is plastic, a metal mag would have made the good perfect, but the mag does not have anything to do with the guns performance. The ROF is low, but thats typical for a ver. 3 gearbox and 8.4 volt battery, if upgraded to a 9.6 volt its ROF improve, but not by much. If you are looking for a tank in the battle field that will never break down on you this is the gun!

-good battery space in stock(would recommend a small 1500Mah)

con:
-Buy some new mags
-you have to un-screw the but plate to get to the battery, which makes it hard to change batteries in play

"Bought this gun a week ago and it works great. I put a new barrel in it, Matrix 407mmx6.03mm, and the disassembly is extremely easy. The only thing is that 407mm is too short a barrel, if you do buy this gun an extra barrel, get the 500-509mm one that fits it. On the RK 06 page it says the inner barrel is 407mm, which is why I bought the 407mm, but it really isn't. Overall the gun is very sturdy, zero wobble anywhere. The mag it comes with is crap, so buy some extra marui mags and file down the tab so they fit right. Shoots about 400fps with the new barrel, and the effective range is somewhere around 150 feet. I would recommend buying .25 bbs for maximum range and accuracy, but it works well with .23s. I had an issue where the motor came loose a little bit and wasn't gripping the gears right, but I was able to fix it pretty easy. ROF is pretty good, I would say 8-10rps. I'm planning on buying a type III #2 gearbox upgrade kit with a 509mmx6.01mm new barrel, high torque motor, 260% spring, new bucking, 9.6v battery, and new mags. It's going to be insane (probably around 500 fps, with .3s with an effective range of 200 feet and 16-19rps).

Pros:
Good out of box rof and fps (about 400fps)

Good stain on the front grip, not orange or yellow, very sturdy
Heavy, about 8-9lbs (Could be a con, but I love it)
Folding stock is extremely sturdy and heavy duty
Sling it comes with is very good (although the metal clip is a pain to get on and off, but extremely sturdy)
Easy to disassemble for upgrades/fixes
Supports pretty much any marui/matrix internal upgrade
Has a side rail mount for AK compatible mounts
Very realistic
It DOES have a negative 14mm thread, so it can support barrel extensions if you want a 509+mm barrel, but mine was glued on and a pain to get off (I was able to get the flash hider off and scrape the glue off)
Awesome price ($150 is amazing for this high quality)
Not pot metal, all steel (Except for the charging handle, but it's very well built)

Cons:
Crappy mag (It works, but it wobbles a lot)
Sights are a little off
Motor came loose after a couple days (easy fix)

Overall 5/5, very good
I would recommend this any day over CYMA or CA just because of the price and ease of use.

"Awesome AK! It is THE AK if you are looking for one to add to your collection or to compete professionally.

I have used VFC AK that cost about $200 more and it is not even as nice as this.

Comes with battery & charger but this rifle deserves a nice 9.6V (get the nunchuch 2300mah with an adapter, i have spent hours shopping around and that is the best battery to fit if you don't want to go lipoly)

Very accurate, flawless wood furniture, great grouping, range and accuracy. It is the nicest AK I have fired, don't be fooled by the price. CYMA makes great AK

The sight that flips up is not supposed to do that...the way you see it in the picture is the way it is supposed to be used. The reason it flips is because it is adjustable for elevation. That is a pretty standard sight configuration, especially in the civillian market.

"I just got the CM.048M version, and it's amazing! I don't know if the CM.048 is any different, but my guess is that it's just as good. The weight is very realistic (about 7.5 lbs), the real wood is really nice, and it has a sturdy construction. The only thing that isn't metal is the pistol grip and flash hider, so it's a very strong gun. It shoots with a great rate of fire and distance. Pretty much the only thing bad about this gun is that the iron sights are a little off and there's some wobble in the pistol grip (if you're picky about those things). So basically, if you want a good gun for a reasonable price, you found it right here!

And the battery and charger is pretty good for beginers but i highly recomend upgrading the battery!
