"I give this gun five out of five. It's great. Very High performance. Light weight, good accuracy; it is all around a great gun for airsoft wars. the body of the gun is metal. the barrel, of course is metal and the tube in the back for the move able stock is metal.
It come with iron sights made of metal.
No battery though- I suggest the 9.6 volt butterfly battery.
The clip is a metal high capassity, around 500 rd(0.2 g)
The gun is amazing and with the price it's a steal.
I completely recommend that you buy the gun.

"got this gun at the begginning of the month and waited until i played with it untill i reviewed it.
I dont think theres a big difference in internals between the RIS and normal combat machine m4s, so look at those for a good performance review. The light weight is great for if you want to attach a lot to the rails and the stock is comfortable when you aim down the sights. you MUST get a butterfly battery, it goes in the stock and nothing else will fit. The only downside to the combat machine m4 is the low FPS, but otherwise all around good. the mags wobbles but you should get a grip of some sort ecause rails are irritating to hold

PROS:
accurate
light
tons of rails
better externals than chinese AEGs

CONS:
low FPS
battery is hard to get out

remember to get a holy cow deal with the gun

"This gun is amazing for the price! It is just A Combat Machine, M4 with a RIS System, crane stock, and a different pistol grip, but it feels like a whole different gun. My friend got the regular Combat Machine, and when I told him I was going to get this he was so mad, becuase I was paying the same price for so much more. I give it 5 stars, because this is the best deal ever for the price. Even though the RIS system is plastic, its better than nothing, and still gets the job done.

"I received this rifle today in the "Christmas" edition of the box of awesomeness that evike.com runs every so often. This wil be a present for my son. We both do a lot of MILSIM and have several rifles. One disappointment is not getting a battery with the rifle so the $10 dollar savings difference in the weapon in this form will be swallowed up by getting the battery from a local airsoft retailer.

Fit and finish:

The weapon including the RIS is plastic, so this will be a very light weapon. I believe it would be good for younger players that always complain about how heavy their weapon is. Crane Stock is solid and the buttplate locks in tightly. Flashhider has a piece missing out of it but is of little consequence because I am sure it will be removed or painted.

The super box of awesomeness also included a stress reliever grenade, an evike ballcap and two bags of BB's. I believe the coolest thing we got is a bunch of codes for getting discounts on items when I purchase them through evike.

Overall I am quite happy with taking the plunge on one of these boxes. I believe my son will like it and that I will continue to be a loyal evike.com shopper

"Well its just rolled in off the UPS truck, and let me tell you. I've never felt more comfortable with any AEG. This gun is so flush. I did a tiny firing test with the few shots i got off of it before the battery died and the ROF was fairly well with a dead battery. The gun its self is loud surprisingly, and kinda heavy.

"I bought this as my first AEG and I love it it absolutely shreds at my field it cycles amazingly and it is worth every dollar it is for beginner to intermediate airsofters

Pros:
Fairly cheap for a good AEG
Very accurate
Works in the winter and in feet of snow

Cons:
The rails are easy to scratch
It’s iron sights are non foldable

Other than those few things it’s great

"This is a solid performer, which is why so many fields use these as their loaner guns. It’s reliable, and if needed, easily fixed.

For a beginner gun, you can’t go wrong. And that is why many people will recommend this for a beginner, and have for years.

But, it must be noted, this is older tech. Evike advertises this as, “upgradeable”. That means that you will need to spend $100-200 on parts to get the most performance out of this gun. By “performance”, I mean faster trigger response, better accuracy and longer range. And it is no easy feat to upgrade an airsoft gun. Often, people buy a lot of expensive parts to put in their gun, only to have it perform *worse* than it did initially, because they did not have a good tech put the parts in, which will cost more $, of course.

I speak from experience; I spent $150 on parts to upgrade a Combat Machine for my son. I ended up spending an *additional* $150 on a brand new Lonex gearbox. It performs great now, but I ended up spending almost $500 on it.

Now, I know that it is possible to spend $20-50 more on a better gun, such as an Arcturus M4, and have top performance out of the box. Or, spend another $100-200, like on a VFC Avalon, and not only have top performance, but the durability of a metal receiver. I would take this into account when making your purchase decision.

"For his price such a great gun. Only bad thing is feeding. You have to scroll every 10-20 bbs.

"I've had a lot of fun so far with my raider.

This is my first aeg as an adult and I use it for backyard and basement target plinking.

No issues out of the box. I'm installing my own accessories on the rail and got my own mid cap mags.

I highly recommended this gun! I feel like it's the 'tippman 98' of the airsoft entry world.

God save my wallet.

"My team got this and a kwa m4a1 for back ups. For 10 bucks more i think the kwa is better for the price and our use. The kwa is all metal and proprietary parts so replacing parts is simple. Now that being said. This gun is great if you want a lighter polymer gun that is fully upgradable. Out of the box it shoot pretty straight. Id upgrade the bucking and nub at time of purchase. Other than that its pretty much good to go. You can run with this all day and not notice it. Its a great starter gun. Buy this not a lancer.

"So far, great gun. Only played with it once. Used it all day with the battery that comes in the package deal with no issues. Just don't expect it to be like an LMG. Like the other reviewers have said, motor gets warm. Flash hider is hard to remove. Can only be done properly with a special tool of some sort. It's a beveled pin that hold the flash hider in, and doesn't look like there's any way to remove it easily. But on to the gun. In the one game I've played with it, I banged it against a few walls, been through mud, swamps and water and it's holding up, only had it for a week or so though. Great beginner gun. ROF could be improved but what do you expect for a 150 gun? All in all, here's my view
Pros: Great beginner weapon
Rugged
Lightweight
Good all around weapon
Decent range
Decent ROF

Cons: Flash hider removability is my only con

Only gave it 4 out of 5 because the ROF could be improved upon, but it's not a con worthy of being listed for me for the price of the gun.
