"Featuring full metal construction and real wood furniture the RK-74SF is an amazing looking rifle and is incredibly realistic. With its weight being nearly exact to its real steel counterpart it both looks and feels like the real thing. The RK-74SF is equipped with a metal side folding skeleton stock which once folded reduces the length of the rifle from 37 inches to 28 inches making it more manageable in tight quarters.
The receiver is finished to have the appearance of crude stamped metal and is complimented with natural steel colored receiver pins. The rifle has no markings with the exception of the stamped serial number in its receiver, matching serial number on the ribbed receiver cover and the designator symbols next to the selector switch. The receiver also features a side rail for attaching an optics mount such as our AK Side Rail Mount (MNT-973). Other realistic features include an authentic click adjustable rear sight, adjustable front sight, barrel heat sync and ported muzzle brake.
At the heart of the RK-74SF is a metal Version 3 gearbox which produces a very respectable 390 fps at the muzzle. Coupled with its long 500mm inner barrel this rifle can pull off some pretty impressive shots from well over 50 yards away making it a highly effective sniper hunter. An AK type stick battery is used in this rifle which is housed along the top of the receiver. Thankfully, unlike other AK models which are restricted to using an 8.4v battery unless you do some serious modifications to the battery compartment of the rifle, the RK-74SF has enough room to hold up to 12v stick type battery pack (please note that the rifle in stock form is only rated up to a 9.6v). While a battery is included with this rifle we highly suggest getting an Intellect 9.6v AK Type Stick Battery which drastically improves the rifles overall performance.
Comes with: 8.4v 1100mah battery and 450mah output trickle charger. Charge time: 2.5 hours
PLEASE NOTE: While the RK-74SF is supposed to be compatible with Marui type AK magazines it is very finicky what ones it will work with.

"A very solid gun. Strong fps. I took out the plastic orange piece out of the flashhider because the real flash hider doesn't have the extension

"Im seriously considering getting this gun. But i have one question, does it have threads on it? if it does, are they CW or CCW? Thanks.

"This gun only has a stock FPS of about 370 unless you upgrade it.I have tried two samples and came up with this finding.Over all build is excellent. The sling that came with the package has very good quality and looks durable.the real wood hand guard adds character because no two guns can have the same wood pattern,so it is very good as an collector item.this model also has provision for fitting an AK type side mounting rail to help utilize it's long barrel accuracy.I highly recommend this gun for collectors and players alike

"I've had mine for a few months and here is my Pros and Cons
Pros:
Easy to disassemble and reassemble
Shot and felt fine
Wood is nice
Adjustable sights worked well
Cons:
Counter threaded muzzle so have fun installing a tracer
Wood chips and loosens frequently
Muzzle is also glued on
Mag it comes with brakes easily
Is painted black so it does scratch
Hop up can be hard to adjust
Still works fine and I am happy to have it as a beginner gun

"(Bought the Wood furniture AKM version) Sadly, I think I got a very slight lemon. When my gun arrived, front sight was tilted to the left. The wood stock broke in less than a month of receiving since I guess there was a crack or something in the battery compartment. But other than that its an amazing gun which I would recommend getting with polymer furniture instead of wood.
Pros:
Very accurate, I was nailing guys from far away. (rough estimate 30-40 meters)
Amazing Hop-Up.
Shoots fast out of the box (390-410 for me)
Good trigger response, you can just barely feather it.
Metal feels amazing.
Fire selector doesn't accidentally move at all while playing.
Cons:
Wood could be better
Wood wiggles on stock and back of handguard, you can easily tighten the stock though.
Stock can BARELY fit a 9.6 nimh
Overall id rate the one with WOOD furniture a 7/10, internals are nice but the wood being sub par really really takes it down a couple points, it would be an absolute 10/10 for the polymer version though since I'm guessing it has less problems.

"Bought in 2019. Reviewed in 2023.
First time I brought gun out, the bucking failed, bought a G&G bucking and replaced and haven't had a problem.
Left gun stock, never tore apart, never cleaned, it was a "play with when I felt like it" gun that I didn't really care to keep maintained.
Well.
I've come today to say, after 4 ish large airsoft events it's been to, D14 last weekend, never had a problem. The threads were crossthreaded from factory, I found out when I went to add a sound amplifier, and had to basically crossthread a new thread back onto it, fixed that issue.
Still chronos ~430fps, pinpoint accurate when hop up is set correctly, and since I've had such good luck with this gun(and not to mention like 5 people offering to trade me 600$ guns for it at the d14 trade/buy/sell day) I've decided to turn it into a dmr.
Gun does not have a high ROF, but it shoots pretty hard and straight. I've ran a 11.1lipo through it for a day as well, increased fire rate a good bit and worked fine, but I do not know if they're rated/capable for it in long succession, so when I was at d14, I just ran a 9.6 for safe measures.
All in all. I went from "I'll buy this just to have an airsoft gun" to, I actually really enjoy this thing, I've even started cleaning it. I'm going to keep the gb stock, but it's about time for a new bucking since she's been dirty and through the ringer a few times. I heavily recommend this for dmr/mid range engagements. Going to keep her now, give her a good and active life.
Tldr.
Factory bucking sucks. (Reason for 4 star)
Watch barrel threads for cross threading. (Reason for 4 star)
Factory pistol grip kind of meh.
Super accurate.
Super fun to shoot.
Long/mid range.
Ok ROF
Super comfy.
Will recommend over and over again.

"At the time I'm writing this this Gun costs $250 now. When I bought it, it was $130 I could have bought two of these. I buy airsofts guns for the looks and for collections to be honest. The way this ak feels and looks is incredible.
I'm so glad it's real wood all around and full metal. First time I went shooting with it (bone stock) it was dead accurate and shooting around 400+ FPS as bone stock. Second time came back shooting, my gun was banned because the FPS is so high. This gun incredible I can't believe I got it at total $160 because of shipping. This a gun is a beast. If you love AK just get this one.
Cons:
-The only issue was the backplate of the butt stock broke, that's the spot where you put the battery in it. (I'm sure the store can fix this) because of the stock I gave it 4 stars.
- Mags are really wobbly
Pros:
-Beautiful
-Real wood and metal
- strong as bone stock
-accurate
- Good priced( when I bought it)
-300 round mags

"I bought this gun not for myself, but to have around as a backup for friends that wanted to try airsoft with the group I play with. It's a gun that is simple, reliable, and shoots every time the trigger is pulled. It's been in the hands of at least a dozen people that have played with it for the entire day and I've never had a problem with it. Its a great gun and feels decent. Selector switch is a bit flimsy but hey, its $200, I am not expecting LCT quality here. For $200, it does the job that I need it to do.

"A very solid choice. Build quality is good, mostly steel construction and the polymer parts seem able to take a beating. Took some scrapes against concrete barriers and a few drops when I took it out and just kept kicking. The fire selector lever came loose after a couple hours of play, but it didn’t fall off and was a quick fix with a screw driver. Stock arrived slightly loose but was a quick fix by just tightening the screws. Plenty of battery space in the stock, though annoying that you have to unscrew the butt plate for compartment access. The sights are slightly obstructed by the forward rail, so you might want a separate sight of your choice.
It’s got solid performance out of the box, I tried it out with .25s but it can definitely handle heavier bbs. The hop up slide is a little loose so I added a rubber washer to help keep it in place, costs about $0.50 to do. Once I had my hop up where I liked it it was shooting around 1.6-1.7 joules, but it might also just need more breaking in. Fires at about 12 rounds per second. Used with stamped steel cyma mid caps with no issues.
Tl;dr: buy this gun. Excellent for new players and with some minor maintenance should last a while.

"Much better gun than I thought it would be! Shoots great, but a screw that held the stock on fell off and I could not find a replacement to save my life. I even bought another stock but it did not fit.
I finally had to get a different receiver so I could mount a fixed stock on it.

"It felt good when I opened it up. But when I got to looking the mag wobbled in the it’s place and the charging handle for the hop up wiggled in and out plus it doesn’t go all the way back. It is on a rail for the dust cover. The trigger is nice and the lower is nice it’s just a few nit picky things that I noticed. Over all a great gun and has great response for spamming semi auto.
